I think he is from the orginal (before flashpoint) timeline because he has revialed that he was trapped there before flashpoint when he said "when you created flashpoint you gave me an idea to use Wally to take my place in the speed forse".So he has nothing to do with the future Barry we saw on ep 19. My specullation is that he is from a timeline that he never created flashpoint (maybe before even the reverse flash travels back in time).

i think savitar is the barry in that timeline barry created,he got struck somewhere when barry create that timeline. somehow he found that philosophy stone where he was stuck then he remembers everything barry did to him and he also has all the memory of barry in all timeline. then he decided to teach barry lesson for what he did, and on his way to meet barry in his timeline he got trap in the speedforce.
it has to be THIS timeline that hes from because he remembers every conversation word for word. no other timeline in existence has the EXACT same things happen like this one. so it cant be flashpoint, as none of this ever happened in flashpoint so he cant remember it, it has to be THIS timeline. you can say oh the speedforce showed him what happened. or the philosophers stone or whatever, but barry specifically says he REMEMBERS, because he LIVED it. so this is future barry from THIS timeline.
What if it is the Time Remnant of Season 2? Albeit the problem then is, how does Savitar manage to get out of the Speed Force in order to allow Team Flash to get the philosopher stone so he could throw it. The reason why I could see the Time Remnant being Savitar is because we know in Season 2 that Barry vanishes when going through the experiment to give him his powers back. He turns out to be stuck in the Speed Force. We see the Time Remnant vanish in the same fashion while Zoom's magnatar was attempting to destroy the multiverse
In the future flash story from the comics, red flash got burn marks at the left side of his face when he got into a huge speed force explosion with the future flash, so perhaps we'll see something like that happen in the final?
my savitar theory in season 3 episode 19 emo barry said that he will create time remnants and savitar will kill them all mostly, this implies that some might have survived and i think that one of the time remnants got badly injured in the face and witnessed all the other all the time remnants die and then he went back in time to get the philosopher stone to try and get the same power a savitar and in doing so he became savitar and is consumed by power, then he realized that he needs iris to die to become savitar
I think he got that scar because it's the whole reason why he needs the metal suit. Barry had gotten so fast that he needed a way to disperse the heat that generated around him just as Season 3 Ep 20 said so. That's why Savitar has the metal suit, to help disperse that heat so the scar might have been from the first time he reached the new speed level and got burned, causing him to realize that he needs a way to protect himself.
Didn't bother reading the comments before saying this, sorry... Nerdgasm, I think you could be on to something with the flashpoint Barry. That Barry never lost his parents and likely would never have gotten close to Iris (explaining why he'd be comfortable killing her) I just can't rectify how he would have his speed. Maybe I'm not thinking it through enough and perhaps that's not the version of Barry. But, I like the idea that they would connect it to (what is probably) Barry's biggest mistake.... and it would do well to tidy up the whole "Flashpoint" problem by making him "face" *chuckles* his mistake head on (in a way he's never had to)... This^ also makes me wonder if (maybe) Barry defeats and takes "Prince Zuko" into the speed force (to tag in for Jay Garrick) and that leaked footage from the finale is the speed force materializing in the form of Nora Allen as almost kind of like a parent taking their child by the hand and showing them what they did wrong, how to fix it, and how to prevent it in the future... (I know that sounds ridiculous but hear me out... *read me out*?......!!! just keep reading) Remember back in "The Runaway Dinosaur" when the speed force is essentially coddling Barry throughout the entire episode... (up until Iris' [in my opinion, the most repulsive sounding line Candice Patton has ever read on camera] "Barry, come home to me") it seems like... maybe the speed force was super hostile with Barry because it obviously knows that Savitar is *some form* of Barry and it knows that his *genesis* is ENTIRELY Barry's fault... but it can't tell him that because... well, that would alter the timeline and that would be ...hypocritical completely counter intuitive... so Barry has to discover this one his own, and and learn from it... but and once he has "defeated" Savitar (and has resolved the Jay Garrick issue) perhaps the speed force, again, takes him by the hand and lets him know that things still need to be fixed (from season 2 finale to season 3 premiere) and shows him where (in time) he needs to go and what he needs to do... at least that way... they wont have to drag shit out into the beginning of season 4 with regard to getting Barry out of the speed force (not even sure how they would...from a plot and a *lose* comic book continuity point of view). To me it doesn't make sense for him to offer himself as Jay Garrick's replacement .... because .... then what? Does Team Flash...hell; even the extended team(Jay Garrick, Harry Wells, Jessie Quick, etc.) go into/send someone into the speed force to "prison break" him? .... I don't see that panning out; instead I see the speed force chuckling and *yoink* breaking Barry's (and the conspirators') connection to ... the speed force.... then you don't have much of a show there.... This is a tricky situation, first you have to consider since it's a future version he could become Savitar for multiple reasons... I think it's almost like a time loop, something with Savitar being important to the timeline. It could also be more simple than that, Savitar could just be the literal future flash meaning Barry becomes Savitar aka future flash like he doesn't necessarily have to be evil just wants to recreate his life so he finds a way to do so without having to kill his past self or whatever then again there's so many mind fucks it's almost impossible to theorize we'll just have to wait.

And then they released another new synopsis for the finale "with nothing left to lose, Barry takes on Savitar..." if Barry has nothing left to lose does that mean everybody he loves is dead? Did Iris just die? What happened to team flash that causes Barry to lose everything? So many questions...
I think it's the future barry from season one, from the original timeline. The Barry that got 11 year old Barry out and told barry not to save his mom. That's the only future flash there was. The same flash in the news paper before flashpoint. After flashpoint the 2024 Barry wasn't married to Iris. It's the first future barry who was married to Iris, not the Emmo 2024 barry, he saw Iris die by the other Future flash before flash point. If you get it. The first future flash wanted his future back.

Honestly this season feels like they only had a few ideas about what they were doing until these final moments. The dude who is jacked turning into savitar, the time travel inconsistencies etc... It seems to me like the writers haven't done a very good job for the overall arc of this season and we are left to fill in the blanks and make sense of it. I may be wrong, there may be a finale that proves it really was written well and all planned from the beginning but right now it does seem shoe horned together to me
Okay what do you all think about this theory ? Now we understood that all the 3 seasons we saw are nothing but an alternative timeline of barry. Also this barry is not first flash but still paradoxically he is first flash! In original timeline, Original barry actually becomes flash for first time in 2020 with actual Harrison wells around and mom and dad is alive while this barry was created due to early intervention of eobard who messes up time. So original barry's life must be quite different and may not be connected to Iris much. May be he faces lot of tragedy in his future and becomes savitar and that tragedy must be caused because of eobard thawnes decision of killing his mom to cause tragedy changing the timeline for alternative barry. At that time there must be no resistance for first time eobard kills his mom. But in these seasons we saw resistance from future Barry in season one trying to fight Eobard. That means this current barry we see is from 4 th or 5th alternate timeline because we already saw 3 barry's around his mom and one of them actually stopping barry from saving his mom. And this 4th or 5 th timeline barry again created alternate timeline by going back and saving his mom. Hence what we see is loop of viscous cycle happening again and again badly affecting the original barry causing him to become savitar and blaming his past barry to destroy his life. Hence it is possible that the savitar barry is from one such alternate timeline or may be original timeline who got trapped in to speed force may be via time remnant technique.
Are we actually clear on what the Philosopher Stone did for Barry? What I'm struggling to understand is which granted Barry speed first, making him the first Speedster the Particle Accelerator explosion or the Philosopher Stone? I'm of the mindset that the Philosopher Stone enhanced the Speedforce in his system just like a tachyon device but 10 fold .
summing up my long drawn out theory," Since Flash Point or the First time He change the future. There has always been two Flashes. The one we see and who's living the life, and the Observer "Out of time flash"/Jealous Flash. He sees everything just can't interact with anything cause he's out of time and fills himself up with rage and hate until he steals the Suit/Philosopher stone and becomes Savitar (now visible) The original flash before he ever time traveled period.
Also now, officially the future has been changed. That was the initial goal to change the future. Emo Barry didn't know who savitar was but Wally found out and lost his mind. Now Barry knows who Savitar is, they all do now. Vibe didn't lose his hands to Frost cause Flash jumped in the way. The girl came up with the idea to trade Savitar years into the future now she's on the track to do it right now. The Future has been changed, Yet Savitar is still aware of everything as far as we know. Which still leads me to the "Out of Time/Observer" theory. He didn't kill Iris to ensure his creation, he killed Iris out of pure spite and jealousy, period. Also Alchemy/Savitar gave people their gifts back using the Philsopher stone from the other time line, that's how Wally got his powers but the flash of that timeline didn't even have any powers and wasn't a hero so savitar couldn't have existed in that time line. He has to be the Barry from the first initial time travel stuck out of time.
My theory is he's the version of Barry from seasons 1&2 that took original Barry's place when he created flashpoint, cause the timeline would keep going so a version of Barry would still need to be there. But when Barry and Thawne reset everything, our Barry erased that original timeline and thus his past self who was still around lost everyone and everything namely Iris and the rest of Team Flash. So past duplicate Barry gets pissed at original Barry, somehow uses the stone to either make himself faster or get everyone back and ends up becoming Savitar then goes completely insane when future Barry locks him up in the speed force. But that's just me, I'm still skeptical as to why he'd be mad at everyone else too as he said to all them "You took everything from me!". Guess we won't know for sure though until Tuesday.
My new theory :.. at first i didnt rly believe in the time Remanent or how ever it is spelled anyway ..is that savitar is the time Remanent from S2 finale that died CUz if u remember his face ( right cheek ) got evaporated thats why savitar could have the scar ( if u have seen also some vids explaining how he survived cuz he was protected by the speed force..makes sense).. I think that in an attempt of saving Iris, Barry creates multiple time remnants of himself. Savitar kills all of them but one survives. That survivor goes to the past to get the philosopher stone to get the power it gives. Since its a lot of power, he starts feeling like a godly figure. And like Tracy Brand said, if you move too fast at that speed then your body will not take it. So that is why he had a burn on his face. He then goes to the future to get A suit of armor that will protect his body from burning. And that is how he could have become Savitar.
Barry needs the savitar suit to run because hes so fast he cant do it without it maybe he tried and half of his face got burned off so he developed a suit to protect it
Hey NG...wouldn't it habe to only be a version of barry that shared this current timeline up to a point in the future because he remembers what barry says and what eveyone is doing..ie telling KF the words he spoke and that cisco was in the rafters. we know that barry is going to create time remnant of himself to fight Savitar in the remaining episodes..so my theory is that either he or KF injure and disfigure one of the surviving last remnants and using the philosophers stone throws him into the speedforce trap...releasing Jay Garrick..and thus creating himself.
In the comics the fastest Flash is and has always been Wallace West! For the purpose of the TV show however they probably are gonna make Barry the fastest for simplicity

Last week, I was right. I said it was Barry. It had to be someone that Wally wouldn't go back to kill after finding out who Savitar was. Finding out the same person who was trying to save his sister was the same one who would kill her messed up his mind. And it had to be someone that Frost knew as well and would trust 100%. Again for you misguided people Ronnie didn't fit that theory. Now the next question is how did barry get this way. Savitar said he was locked away by future Barry BEFORE he even came to the past. He's in the past with all future knowledge he didn't become Savitar till the future and was released into the past from the speed force. The Female Vibe (forgot her name) said in one episode that she's also been chasing a speedster who's been traveling to other worlds stealing technology. I'm guessing it was the future Barry. He stole the Philosopher stone and perhaps that suit. I doubt anyone in star labs help him to create it. But if that's true Savitar is from the future so that mean at one point a present Barry would have to steal all those items. Which isn't a route that would make sense unless you put it all on parralle time lines intersecting. Meaning the Savitar we know, knows everything that will happen which makes him the current barry and the emo barry. So I agree with your thinking that Savitar is born years down the road. I think its a timeloop/paradox like reverse flash. Savitar barry is a remnant created by 2024 barry when he fought Savitar in his timeline. He says Savitar killed mostly all the remnants. How bout if the future savitar was able to manipulate the remnant to become him in the future. I don't remember but it wasn't iris that's cause she dies and when he vanishes in the crisis he goes back in time when the first people found the philosopher stone he accidentally touched it and became evil the stone is controlling him and he gained an extremely fast speed but he is so fast he needs the suit to not vaporize or something like that and that's how he got his scar after he touched the stone he ran to try and go back in time he was so fast he got that mark or scar so he somehow found this stone that it's color is the same as the pilosipher stones color which means he made the suit from the philosopher stone but the suit slows him down if he isn't wearing the suit he is so fast that he could check the earth in 0.1seconds the whole earth. It's just like the present Barry where he needs his suit to not be set on fire. Right?

This^ also makes me wonder if (maybe) Barry defeats and takes "Prince Zuko" into the speed force (to tag in for Jay Garrick) and that leaked footage from the finale is the speed force materializing in the form of Nora Allen as almost kind of like a parent taking their child by the hand and showing them what they did wrong, how to fix it, and how to prevent it in the future...
(I know that sounds ridiculous but hear me out... *read me out*?......!!! just keep reading)
Remember back in "The Runaway Dinosaur" when the speed force is essentially coddling Barry throughout the entire episode... (up until Iris' [in my opinion, the most repulsive sounding line Candice Patton has ever read on camera] "Barry, come home to me") it seems like... maybe the speed force was super hostile with Barry because it obviously knows that Savitar is *some form* of Barry and it knows that his *genesis* is ENTIRELY Barry's fault... but it can't tell him that because... well, that would alter the timeline and that would be ...hypocritical completely counter intuitive... so Barry has to discover this one his own, and and learn from it... but and once he has "defeated" Savitar (and has resolved the Jay Garrick issue) perhaps the speed force, again, takes him by the hand and lets him know that things still need to be fixed (from season 2 finale to season 3 premiere) and shows him where (in time) he needs to go and what he needs to do... at least that way... they wont have to drag shit out into the beginning of season 4 with regard to getting Barry out of the speed force (not even sure how they would...from a plot and a *lose* comic book continuity point of view). To me it doesn't make sense for him to offer himself as Jay Garrick's replacement .... because .... then what? Does Team Flash...hell; even the extended team(Jay Garrick, Harry Wells, Jessie Quick, etc.) go into/send someone into the speed force to "prison break" him? .... I don't see that panning out; instead I see the speed force chuckling and *yoink* breaking Barry's (and the conspirators') connection to ... the speed force.... then you don't have much of a show there.... And I swear to god I'll stop watching if that happens and even one single episode is devoted to Barry regain his speed or... WORSE... trying to reason with the speed force...

This is a tricky situation, first you have to consider since it's a future version he could become Savitar for multiple reasons... I think it's almost like a time loop, something with Savitar being important to the timeline. It could also be more simple than that, Savitar could just be the literal future flash meaning Barry becomes Savitar aka future flash like he doesn't necessarily have to be evil just wants to recreate his life so he finds a way to do so without having to kill his past self or whatever then again there's so many mind fucks it's almost impossible to theorize we'll just have to wait.
Maybe he's from when Legends messed up the timeline or when legion of doom rewrote history.

I was thinking that Barry got the scar from not wearing his suit... I'm pretty sure they said the suit protects him from all the blue lightning around him so what if he got that scar before he got his suit? Oh and can we talk about the synopsis for the season finale. "After discovering Savitar's true identity..." um so are they hinting that the big reveal of Barry being Savitar is false or??? And then they released another new synopsis for the finale "with nothing left to lose, Barry takes on Savitar..." if Barry has nothing left to lose does that mean everybody he loves is dead? Did Iris just die? What happened to team flash that causes Barry to lose everything? So many questions...
I think it's the future barry from season one, from the original timeline. The Barry that got 11 year old Barry out and told barry not to save his mom. That's the only future flash there was. The same flash in the news paper before flashpoint. After flashpoint the 2024 Barry wasn't married to Iris. It's the first future barry who was married to Iris, not the Emmo 2024 barry, he saw Iris die by the other Future flash before flash point. If you get it. The first future flash wanted his future back.

I think that savitar is the time remnant from the fight with zoom or a time remnant that hasn't been created yet, that our flash will create to try and defeat savitar
Honestly this season feels like they only had a few ideas about what they were doing until these final moments. The dude who is jacked turning into savitar, the time travel inconsistencies etc... It seems to me like the writers haven't done a very good job for the overall arc of this season and we are left to fill in the blanks and make sense of it.
I may be wrong, there may be a finale that proves it really was written well and all planned from the beginning but right now it does seem shoe horned together to me

Now we understood that all the 3 seasons we saw are nothing but an alternative timeline of barry.
Also this barry is not first flash but still paradoxically he is first flash! In original timeline, Original barry actually becomes flash for first time in 2020 with actual Harrison wells around and mom and dad is alive while this barry was created due to early intervention of eobard who messes up time. So original barry's life must be quite different and may not be connected to Iris much. May be he faces lot of tragedy in his future and becomes savitar and that tragedy must be caused because of eobard thawnes decision of killing his mom to cause tragedy changing the timeline for alternative barry. At that time there must be no resistance for first time eobard kills his mom.
But in these seasons we saw resistance from future Barry in season one trying to fight Eobard. That means this current barry we see is from 4 th or 5th alternate timeline because we already saw 3 barry's around his mom and one of them actually stopping barry from saving his mom.
And this 4th or 5 th timeline barry again created alternate timeline by going back and saving his mom.
Hence what we see is loop of viscous cycle happening again and again badly affecting the original barry causing him to become savitar and blaming his past barry to destroy his life.
Hence it is possible that the savitar barry is from one such alternate timeline or may be original timeline who got trapped in to speed force may be via time remnant technique.
Are we actually clear on what the Philosopher Stone did for Barry? What I'm struggling to understand is which granted Barry speed first, making him the first Speedster the Particle Accelerator explosion or the Philosopher Stone? I'm of the mindset that the Philosopher Stone enhanced the Speedforce in his system just like a tachyon device but 10 fold .
summing up my long drawn out theory," Since Flash Point or the First time He change the future. There has always been two Flashes. The one we see and who's living the life, and the Observer "Out of time flash"/Jealous Flash. He sees everything just can't interact with anything cause he's out of time and fills himself up with rage and hate until he steals the Suit/Philosopher stone and becomes Savitar (now visible) The original flash before he ever time traveled period.
Also now, officially the future has been changed. That was the initial goal to change the future. Emo Barry didn't know who savitar was but Wally found out and lost his mind. Now Barry knows who Savitar is, they all do now. Vibe didn't lose his hands to Frost cause Flash jumped in the way. The girl came up with the idea to trade Savitar years into the future now she's on the track to do it right now. The Future has been changed, Yet Savitar is still aware of everything as far as we know. Which still leads me to the "Out of Time/Observer" theory. He didn't kill Iris to ensure his creation, he killed Iris out of pure spite and jealousy, period. Also Alchemy/Savitar gave people their gifts back using the Philsopher stone from the other time line, that's how Wally got his powers but the flash of that timeline didn't even have any powers and wasn't a hero so savitar couldn't have existed in that time line. He has to be the Barry from the first initial time travel stuck out of time.

My theory is he's the version of Barry from seasons 1&2 that took original Barry's place when he created flashpoint, cause the timeline would keep going so a version of Barry would still need to be there. But when Barry and Thawne reset everything, our Barry erased that original timeline and thus his past self who was still around lost everyone and everything namely Iris and the rest of Team Flash. So past duplicate Barry gets pissed at original Barry, somehow uses the stone to either make himself faster or get everyone back and ends up becoming Savitar then goes completely insane when future Barry locks him up in the speed force. But that's just me, I'm still skeptical as to why he'd be mad at everyone else too as he said to all them "You took everything from me!". Guess we won't know for sure though until Tuesday.

I think that in an attempt of saving Iris, Barry creates multiple time remnants of himself. Savitar kills all of them but one survives. That survivor goes to the past to get the philosopher stone to get the power it gives. Since its a lot of power, he starts feeling like a godly figure. And like Tracy Brand said, if you move too fast at that speed then your body will not take it. So that is why he had a burn on his face. He then goes to the future to get A suit of armor that will protect his body from burning. And that is how he could have become Savitar.

Hey NG...wouldn't it habe to only be a version of barry that shared this current timeline up to a point in the future because he remembers what barry says and what eveyone is doing..ie telling KF the words he spoke and that cisco was in the rafters. we know that barry is going to create time remnant of himself to fight Savitar in the remaining episodes..so my theory is that either he or KF injure and disfigure one of the surviving last remnants and using the philosophers stone throws him into the speedforce trap...releasing Jay Garrick..and thus creating himself.

Last week, I was right. I said it was Barry. It had to be someone that Wally wouldn't go back to kill after finding out who Savitar was. Finding out the same person who was trying to save his sister was the same one who would kill her messed up his mind. And it had to be someone that Frost knew as well and would trust 100%. Again for you misguided people Ronnie didn't fit that theory.
Now the next question is how did barry get this way. Savitar said he was locked away by future Barry BEFORE he even came to the past. He's in the past with all future knowledge he didn't become Savitar till the future and was released into the past from the speed force. The Female Vibe (forgot her name) said in one episode that she's also been chasing a speedster who's been traveling to other worlds stealing technology. I'm guessing it was the future Barry. He stole the Philosopher stone and perhaps that suit. I doubt anyone in star labs help him to create it. But if that's true Savitar is from the future so that mean at one point a present Barry would have to steal all those items. Which isn't a route that would make sense unless you put it all on parralle time lines intersecting. Meaning the Savitar we know, knows everything that will happen which makes him the current barry and the emo barry. So I agree with your thinking that Savitar is born years down the road. Or my last theory that its always been another Barry on the exact time line just literally "Out of Time" he can see everything that's going on but he can not interact with it at all. He steals the tech from the other dimension and wears the suit which allows him to take physical form in the far future. I think its a timeloop/paradox like reverse flash. Savitar barry is a remnant created by 2024 barry when he fought Savitar in his timeline. He says Savitar killed mostly all the remnants. How bout if the future savitar was able to manipulate the remnant to become him in the future. So ypu would still have 2024 barry and Savitar barry coexisting as different individuals at the same time. This evil barry is the one from Jays story. Like Reverse Flash in legends he had to keep moving thru worlds amd time to exist. This creates,the loop as by 2020 flash is powerful enough to challenge him.
