I just wanna show some appreciation for the non-speedrunner commentator on this run. Saying stuff like, "that's such a weird thing to test" and "how did you even find that?" This man is literally the voice of everyone watching
Honestly, the "unfinished" AI where every squad member could do everything (but they still had preferences) worked hugely in this game's favor. 62 is down? 07 can still plant charges while you try to solve that. Rather set up your team a firing position then hold E than do an escort-mission cover section? 38 can hack. You all paid attention in training, you're flexible. I still think it's a defining point of how *reliable* your squad are that if you go down, "recall squad to get you up NOW" vs "finish their orders" is actually a *decision*. Neither you nor they are comparatively useless or overpowered. It's so good!
That's a good take on it, honestly. Ideally, if they had a chance to finish it, they'd have leaned more in that direction. Everyone has specialties that they can do better than the rest (e.g., 62 can destabilise charges & make the blast radius bigger, or set them faster), but they all still have the same core skillset underneath. Just refine their preferences into outright advantages at their preferred task, and it's perfect. ;3
Bryonato is actually such a good commentator for speedruns. He really makes you understand the run more by knowing what questions to ask and pointing out all those little details! Appreciate him a lot for seeing that extra effort.
At 1:18:00 he's angry at whoever put that charge in the field kit. He set and primed it for detonation but he wasn't the one who inspected and packed it for the commandos.
Great run! It’s infectious when the commentators and runners genuinely enjoy themselves and have a good time. And the explanations where top-notch, too.
i hate to ruin it but i think "who packed that charge" was meant like "who put this bomb together" and not who just planted it. what a great run, though.
2 years ago I replayed this game and it did age really well, I recommend playing it. When I played it I kinda knew it would be an amazing speedgame but unfortunately I'm not much of a glitch-scientist. Great someone took the time to find all these skips.
There was a time or two that switching weapon attachments faster would have been helpful. Just swap to the pistol before the attachment and it cancels the barrel changing animation! Old multiplayer strat right there!
They need to do this more often, bring someone in who plays the game casually who doesn't speedrun the said game just to provide a reaction to how over the top these skips can be sometimes XD

We need more couch hosts that don’t know the run. The genuine surprise is fantastic!
For sure, every couch needs another speedrunner who can explain stuff and a casual player who can ask the questions and react.

This game deserves a reboot
The port to switch isn’t to bad, a few glitches and it plays like an older game but at least I’m not digging out my old Xbox anymore!
Reboot in Canon. Include the Witches episode of Clone Wars in the game as a level. Since that episode did make Deltas canon, but not the game
I actually didn't know that this came before Episode 3... So like holy shit, we saw Grevious AND literally the last moments before order 66. Damn

Reminder that in cannon 38 is not only the leader of the team, he's the melee expert. This run is cannon-compliant.

39:34 that shotgun animation cancel strat is sick!
Great job Utsu and couch. Watched the last part of this live and was really impressed. Loved all the banter and knowledge from the couch.

A retreating combatant is still a combatant. Clearly armed no war crime.
Honestly, Bryanto on the couch is everything I need in my life. His co hosting on the Ghostrunner run is just THE best! Loving this run already
One of my favourite FPS ever, great run!
listening to bryonato during this run was great - i love how surprised he was by some of the tech
1:20:37 "mom said we have bacta at home"
best version of that meme I've heard XD

They had Republic Commando playable characters in EA Battlefront 2, so fingers crossed we get a sequel...

Still waiting on the sequel...
E for the long sequence.

Wow! I gotta say this "Bad Batch" game looks pretty awesome.

They should make a modern Republic Commando game using the "Bad Batch" characters.
I played this years and years ago. Didn't know english. Time for a re-run.
