Thank you so much for letting me showcase this blindfolded run! I am very happy with this run and how cannot believe how much love and support this run got! Big shoutouts to my commentator charliebrown64 for the amazing commentary and all of you for enjoying! I hope to be able to showcase more blindfolded runs of mine at future events too! Cheers ❤
Honestly genuine question, how much practice was there for your commentary? It was very very well done. It seemed very professionally rehearsed OR you are just really good at improvising.
Playing games blindfolded is surprisingly fun. I played through part of Celeste that way, and it was quite a trip. Requires totally different strategies than usual, and good headphones.
So many said it: this is an awesome run, but I want to emphasize how good and important the detailed commentary is. Without it this run would seem like "WTF is happening? Why is he doing that?".
I don't think I've ever said "wow" out loud so many times watching a run before. Incredible stuff. That vanish cap star in particular was a sight to behold: the backup near the start and Siglemic to finish. Well done!
Seeing Bubzia execute so many frame-perfect tricks first time while blindfolded was a blast, and for him to get a PB too in the process! Just an awesome run!
This is one of my favorite runs I've seen, even if it's 8 months later. The excitement and humility of both runner and commentary, and the supportive Donation reader. Great Donations. It was really well done. Thank you for this.
I know a lot of people have already said it, but this is seriously one of the most impressive runs in GDQ history (at least that I've seen.) Amazing commentary, incredible gameplay, just an all around great experience. Thank you, GDQ, for giving us nothing but quality content so consistently.
We need more and more this kind of runs! Absolutely sick, outstanding and amazing stuff which is actually very, very entertaining! Keep it up Bubzia, the lord of blindfolded speedruns!
Probably the most impressive run I've ever seen, and I've seen a LOT of runs at this point. Absolutely beautiful work as always, Bubzia Can't wait for 120 star at AGDQ2022~ =w=
moments like 14:17 are what make blindfolded runs so impressive, honestly. the runners make it look so effortless that its easy to forget that they literally cant see where they are. so when they lose track of their position, it's really nerve wracking to see if they can get back on track.
Hands down, this run was the best of the whole event. Stellar performance of the runner and fantastic commentary. The dedication and effort he put into this is just mind blowing and I was completely in awe the whole time. Well done and GG!
That has to be one of the best SRs I've ever seen. The commentary was spectacular, and you could just feel how much admiration Charliebrown64 had for Bubzia. I'm blown away
Such an awesome job Bubzia! Exceeded even your own expectations and showed us all how anything can be possible with determination, practice, and execution!
I think I can honestly say this is one of the most impressive things I've ever seen! GGs to Bubzia on the gameplay and charliebrown for the 10/10 commentary.
Dude this is ridiculous. Such a difficult run for the runner (obviously) but the commentator basically solo-commentating the run without any interaction from other voices is a testament to him as well.
I watched this live, it was so freaking entertaining! The gameplay and commentary were legendary and i loved the little detail of Bubzia putting the screen behind himself. I hope we can get more blindfolded runs in future GDQ's!
This was absolutely amazing to watch! I've been in constant awe, from the very beginning! I loved this run, and while I'm sad I can't watch these live, I'm glad I can watch them here.
⚠️Epilepsy warning during Tick Tock Clock⚠️ The screen flashes quite a bit at a certain point, so be warned. (Unless if that's just my phone screwing up, but just in case I'll say it anyways.)
Not just amazing commentary and an amazing run but it really shows how amazing this game’s sound design is for all these strats to be based on the sound cues.
This is one of those things you legitimately have a hard time believin until you see it (big 😂). Feats this impressive transcend speedruns and maybe even video games in general. So much data. Congrats to Bubzia on the run. Mind blowing stuff, dude.
I'm stunned. Just started watching speed runs of my favourite games from back in the day. This would be impressive not blind folded! Thanks to the commentator for explaining everything too. I'd like to comment also on the guy reading the donations for his perfect enthusiasm, especially with Mario's "Let's A Go!"
I found myself nodding with Bubzia whenever he pulls off finding red coins and the like WHILE watching this trying to sleep. Such intense dedication and skill!

Thank you for the sublime run
Awesome run.. Take a lot of patience and dedication for this run.. Great job
this was freaking sick
That run was amazing and really entertaining to watch, great job!
It was an honor to commentate such a sick run. Thank you so much for the amazing opportunity
amazing commentating!
Honestly genuine question, how much practice was there for your commentary? It was very very well done. It seemed very professionally rehearsed OR you are just really good at improvising.
Your comments made this run so much more understandable and engaging. You're the man.
Such an amazing oportunity.
Casual speedrunner logic.
Gets the 1st bowser skip 2times blindfolded yet fails it sighted.
Great commentary and informative thanks man
Damn, setting a PB in a marathon! Much respect!
Also, nailing two blindfolded BLJ's in the showcase at the end IN A ROW! Mad skills from this runner.
Such an unimaginable time to get 70 stars blindfolded, and clearly the room for that ~20 min to get wr is easily within his skillset already
There was that one megaman zero runner who set the world record on GDQ
In solidarity I watched it blindfolded
Get a good view?
Every once in a while a laugh about this comment but can’t share with people around here. They would never understand
You’re funny
damn! this comment is gold
LMFAOOO. Ima try that
Blindfolded runs are completely ridiculous, I love it
Playing games blindfolded is surprisingly fun. I played through part of Celeste that way, and it was quite a trip. Requires totally different strategies than usual, and good headphones.
There is definitely not enough appreciation for the donation reader being so enthusiastic, reading every donation in a perfect implied tone
One of the best speedruns I've ever seen. Great commentary explaining things as well.
I love the commentator being a runner too, it makes it so much more enjoyable having someone explaining what's going on
Pretty ironic that Bubzia had so much trouble with the eyeballs in a blindfolded run
So many said it: this is an awesome run, but I want to emphasize how good and important the detailed commentary is. Without it this run would seem like "WTF is happening? Why is he doing that?".
This was supremely, absurdly impressive.
This commentator was so supportive and into it and respectful, felt like a karate teacher presenting their star student
most expensive 35 seconds in the history of SGDQ incentives perhaps ? totally worth it!
Save the animals?
That feeling when the trick gets done too fast for the commentary.
Make sure to stay after the run for additional blindfolded shenanigans
Blindfolded runs are always just on another level.
Solid run. And gotta say : awesome commmentary too. Helped a lot for this kind of run
1:57:30 is one of the most hype moments in GDQ history.
Its so wholesome to see how much charlie cares about bubzia PB at the end
You guys remember that video about the dude that was faking playing this blindfolded? Night and day with this man
That video was made by charliebrown64, who did the commentary on this run!
@@thexbigxgreen Yeah I found this video because I wanted to see Charliebrown's blindfolded runs lol
This blew my mind when I watched it live and I still haven’t found it quite yet several days later. You’re amazing dude.
I wish I could give this more than one like, this was so amazing! Great runner, amazing commentary, over all sooooo impressive and enjoyable!
lol the host’s wife donation and response made me so happy. I love family moments and appreciation like this. Simple yet lovely.
Timestamp plz
@@akinasgreatest01 sorry for no timestamp, but I do recall it was during HMC.
@@akinasgreatest01 shortly after 39:00
Yeah, she’s pretty cool. ❤️
Unreal. OoT blindfold was intense but this is serious next level shit
I've only recently gotten into Bubzia's runs. The focus and dedication is truly astounding. Congrats on the recent 120 Star run as well.
This is one of my favorite runs I've seen, even if it's 8 months later. The excitement and humility of both runner and commentary, and the supportive Donation reader. Great Donations. It was really well done. Thank you for this.
Blindfolded = 2 for 2 door skip. Sighted = 100% fail.
I know a lot of people have already said it, but this is seriously one of the most impressive runs in GDQ history (at least that I've seen.) Amazing commentary, incredible gameplay, just an all around great experience. Thank you, GDQ, for giving us nothing but quality content so consistently.
This will go down as one of the best GDQ runs in a long time, comparable to the Zelda run showing off the wrongwarp way back when.
We need more and more this kind of runs! Absolutely sick, outstanding and amazing stuff which is actually very, very entertaining! Keep it up Bubzia, the lord of blindfolded speedruns!
This is so impressive... I honestly can't even believe it nice job man!
This run was really impressive, must feel great to PB on GDQ
That jump during the penguin race blew my mind. Great run.
Probably the most impressive run I've ever seen, and I've seen a LOT of runs at this point. Absolutely beautiful work as always, Bubzia
Can't wait for 120 star at AGDQ2022~ =w=

Can you just imagine what this would have been like with a live audience?? This should be remembered as one of the most legendary runs at a GDQ
The penguin glitch was something else 🙌 amazing
"Blindfolded Speedrun. Super easy! Barely an inconvenience" I love the Screen Rant Pitch Meeting reference XD
Glad someone enjoyed. 🤣
Like the Runner: I didnt see the run as it was happen. Glad you uploaded it to youtube so i can enjoy it :)
Neither did he
To be fair, neither did he.
Hands down, this run was the best of the whole event. Stellar performance of the runner and fantastic commentary. The dedication and effort he put into this is just mind blowing and I was completely in awe the whole time. Well done and GG!
That ending was sooo satisfying!
Edit: also holy shit that BLJ after the run. I haven't even seen people do it that cleanly sighted
this gets said a lot but this is truly amazing. thank you for sharing!
That has to be one of the best SRs I've ever seen. The commentary was spectacular, and you could just feel how much admiration Charliebrown64 had for Bubzia. I'm blown away
Currently on the part where he just got the red coin star on Cool, Cool Mountain this is wild I love it
That part blew my mind
Now this was an interesting run, blindfold runs are always bonkers
The practice, patience, and skill needed for this is so high man congrats to him.
Holy crap that star next to the invis cap button was absolutely NUTS
Watching this blindfolded run is satisfying on so many levels. Nostalgia, being amazed, being informed by the commentator, setting a PB. So good.
Seeing this live felt like witnessing history! Absolutely amazing run!
Hard to express how amazing this run was. Outstanding job!
Incredible performance. Bubzia is set to lower his time a lot, the mistakes made can be cleaned up for sure and his early run is really strong.
I could watch that lblj clip forever haha they were both so amazed with the first try, as were the rest of us I'm sure haha great job!
Just amazing everything in this run, well done Bubzia and charliebrown64.
great run, great commentary!
If it wasn't for the excellent commentary I don't think I would understand just how impressive this is
That was awesome
Thank you Bubzia
The excitement between the runner and the commentator when he got that browser door skip first try was how I felt watching his entire run.
So far, I think this is the best speedrun I’ve ever gotten to watch.
Bubzia has made Mario 64 a mind palace, absolutely incredible feat.
The runner and the commentary were both spot on! Amazed and grateful for catching this run!
Blue switch. The ultimate yump
Currently on Hazy Maze Cave, that Mario wings to the sky star on the first level was so cool.
Just FYI: he did do a blindfolded 120 star run. It showed up in my feed after finding this one. So go look for it!
Dude this is ridiculous. Such a difficult run for the runner (obviously) but the commentator basically solo-commentating the run without any interaction from other voices is a testament to him as well.
Vanish cap and that timing on the LLL red coins puzzle. Hype moments of this sgdq
I watched this live, it was so freaking entertaining! The gameplay and commentary were legendary and i loved the little detail of Bubzia putting the screen behind himself. I hope we can get more blindfolded runs in future GDQ's!
Gotta absolutely love seeing runners break records in a marathon setting, it's so unreal to watch how skilled these folks are
This was absolutely amazing to watch! I've been in constant awe, from the very beginning! I loved this run, and while I'm sad I can't watch these live, I'm glad I can watch them here.
⚠️Epilepsy warning during Tick Tock Clock⚠️
The screen flashes quite a bit at a certain point, so be warned.
(Unless if that's just my phone screwing up, but just in case I'll say it anyways.)
Wow! So incredibly impressive. Also loved the info by the narrator, great run.
He caught that damn rabbit 100x faster than I could without the blindfold
I'm stunned. Just started watching speed runs of my favourite games from back in the day. This would be impressive not blind folded! Thanks to the commentator for explaining everything too.
I'd like to comment also on the guy reading the donations for his perfect enthusiasm, especially with Mario's "Let's A Go!"
That Vanish Cap course was NUTS. Kudos to Bubzia.
I've never even played this game and I'm absolutely astounded, fantastic work Bubzia and congrats on the PB!!!
Beginning of the video: "Bubzia's PB is 1:53"
*Looks at video title*
Me: "boy, we're in for a treat!"
I was wondering how he was gonna race the penguin omg
Holy crap, anyone watching make sure to watch the bonus showcase after the game's over. Incredible run all around.
I found myself nodding with Bubzia whenever he pulls off finding red coins and the like WHILE watching this trying to sleep. Such intense dedication and skill!
I hope we see blindfolded speedrun races in the future.
Amazing idea!
There was one for punch-out, sinister1 vs zallard1. They also did a blindfolded punch-out 2 players 1 controller.
This is so incredible.
This is what I watch GDQ for, the amazing commentary, always great to have an awesome run with awesome commentary
I think this is the biggest nail-biter I've ever seen at a GDQ event. I need to watch more blindfolded runs.
This is one of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen
Just amazing. I doubt i could even do anywhere near this well without a blindfold
Bruh Bubzia that was naaaaasty. Nice job! Very impressive work and commitment to your art.
Such an amazing run with so many amazing moments, Thank you Bubzia and everyone in the blindfolded sm64 community for the Best run in GDQ
Amazing!!! Both runner and commentary was fantastic! Congrats on the PB.
This was amazing to watch. Watching him nail the LBLJj blindfolded FIRST TRY was nothing short of incredible.
This was a good run to watch, I enjoy GDQ marathons so much!
I think this is about as close to real magic as this world is ever going to get. This is just amazing to watch.
Incredible run and incredible commentary! Best run of the whole event, I'd say.
This is unreal, great runner and commentator! Great work!
THIS!!!!, was amazing!!
So much skill at display here. Amazing run. Thank you everyone at SGDQ
