@@NathanEndicott_Films I hunt in the Adirondacks, no bait, no dogs, and only 1.5oz of liquid attractant. The only real option is calling because of the limited sight ranges. I use a cottontail distress and fawn in distress for the most part with varying degrees of success. In my experience it depends on the bear. I’ve have some hightail it the opposite direction. And just a month ago I had one sneak up behind me and charge in to less than 5 yards when he realized what I was 🤣
This is awesome! I love your videos. I’m curious if you could give me any pointers on a fall black bear hunt in Oregon. It will be my first hunt, and as far as location, I’m not really sure where to start. I’ve only lived in Oregon for 2 years, so I’m not too familiar with the state.
Thank you! That hunt was my wife’s first bear and she used her dad’s rifle and was prego with our son. Pretty special memory and crazy hunt! Do you have an Instagram or FB? Message me and I’ll do my best.
It's is my father in-laws 270 and I am 99% bow hunter so not really sure! Shoots really flat inside 250 and perfect for us. My wife shoots it really well.
bear meats really good. predators also need to be hunted to keep their numbers in check. most bear hunters go after boars because they will eat bear cubs to mate with the sow and they also kill alot of fawns and calves. just a couple reasons to hunt them.
Bear are a predators and eat as many fawns as they can during the spring. We ate the bear meat this week - it was incredible. May you open your mind to sustainable living and become curious in your questioning and not accusing.
It would be so amazing for people to do some research before making ignorant comments. Bears are apex predators and with mountain lions are responsible for a huge number of deer fawn and elk calf kills. Shouldn’t they be kept in balance like the rest of the wild animals? Have u ever seen a bear tear a young animal apart? I am so sick of ignorant social justice warriors hiding behind the social media facade making comments with no appreciation of reality or consequences
They are not bad animals we love bears in Oregon they are nice and loving creatures they live in my back yard in Tillamook don't kill them they are beautiful animals and you sneak up on them and hurt them. You should be ashamed.
Hi Jake. I think bear are incredible animals. The ones in your backyard probably are around to eat your trash. Also, bear eat as many fawns in the spring as they can catch. Do you not love fawns too? Would you say a fawn is more or less loving than a bear? How do you know bear are loving? Did you know that a boar (male bear) will eat a sows cubs just to be able to breed her again? Please consider an open mind and please consider your words. Lack of understanding is no excuse for verbal vomit.
Wow! He came running when you called. Good job, Sami Jo!
Calling bears is by far the most fun I’ve ever had hunting. It’s an absolute rush!! Congratulations on a great bear!
The doe bleat has done wonders over the years. Where do you call at?

Pretty darn close. NE Oregon.
What did this bear ever do to you? Are you going to eat the bear meat? Why kill bears for no reason?

@@NathanEndicott_Films people are so judgmental. Even if you don't eat the meat sometimes culling saves the ecosystem when there are too many bears.
