I spent nearly 12 years working for Wayne and Lisa. I’ve heard those words from him a thousand times over the years and they never get old. He’s probably one of the best story tellers I know. They have definitely shaped more peoples lives than they could ever imagine, mine included. The environment and culture they have built in that shop has brought countless people together over the years and made lifelong friendships for many. I’ll be forever grateful for what they’ve provided for me and my family over the years and the friendship we still have.

Chris you set up my first hoyt. I drove down from Tacoma area WA desperate to find good service. I was not disappointed. I remember you cut your lunch short shoved some food in your mouth and said let’s go. We worked together even after closing and I left there feeling fully confident and ready to shoot. Can’t thank you enough man that experience keeps me motivated in Archery.

Would LOVE to have a shop like that in my neck of the woods over here on the West side. Archery World is the closest "Pro" shop. My first bow, in 1987, was a Golden Eagle. Killed my first Blacktail in 1988 with a prong style rest that was HELL to adjust and Easton 2117 with, if I can remember, was a Muzzy. It's been a LONG road getting to a Reckoning 35 and a Reign 6! Memories, it's what it's all about.

They've done a lot for archery and hunting in Oregon, and in general and everyone in their shop takes the time to help you however they can. It's very inspiring seeing them pass on their passion to their kids and grandkids. They also support American Made, First Responders, and our military!

Over the top helpful and knowledgeable - good Humans for sure. Hopefully sending another bow to tune up. Best wishes and hope they are around for a lot longer.

One thing I would check regarding the US hunting model, it is true however it is growing in Europe in form of 3D or hunting as alternative to rifles. However for now it is most shooting at 3D targets due to limitations in goverments. Only think I miss is that so much gaer I need to order from US and the 23% vat a shipping costs are killing me. Sometimes we have to pay 350usd shipping and 100usd VAT for a 229 usd sight. But one it arrives we meet and play with our bows like You do.

Met my wife nearly 30 yrs ago when I was a medic on an ambulance service. She had a government job and one morning found out that her whole career was being eliminated. We moved in together, moved to another community and tried different things for a couple years and then just decided we wanted to try being self employed. With decades of martial arts experience under my belt, no pun intended, we decided to open a martial arts supply store. Yep, even more rare than bow shops. Yep, we “bantered” back and forth just like they do, and routinely harassed our customers and surprisingly didn’t chase them away. My wife was also the “merchandising Queen”. In July of 2018 we decided to close it down after “25” years of business. As he said, you can’t put a price on that kind of experience. Little did we know what was to transpire just 6 months later. The Covid would have killed us just like it did to so many martial arts clubs. It was tough, we didn’t make a ton of money, but I probably would do it again. I came to archery 8 yrs ago as therapy after a car hit me on my motorcycle, broke my knee and ankle and ended my decades of involvement in martial arts. I’m loving it even though I have a very difficult time walking while awaiting a knee replacement. You young guys on the Elk Shape channel keep me motivated. Keep pumping out the videos Tim.

I wonder how many bows he’s setup in those 33 years!

Wish I’d followed the bowhunting lifestyle rather than the rock n roll dream cos my health is shot!
