Props to Black Doom for getting that massive upgrade. Visuals, power set, but the VA work just sells it. He's a lot more bombastic than before, and you can FEEL his emotions through his tone.

No by a landslide this is better. Getting the S rank is stricter but it’s to learning the patterns and how to attack at the earliest possible moments. So it feels earned if a bit tacked on with the cinematics.
But it's power that Shadow loses as soon as Black Doom is gone. Though after getting Doom Wings, it sort of proves that he's meant to be a pseudo Super Sonic, or rather an impression of that "golden warrior" from the prophecy in Sonic 3. That's what my theory was since before this game however.
I'm actually amazed that Shadow was able to defeat black doom without using the Chaos Emeralds to go Super Shadow. Actually, I shouldn't expect anything like that. Sonic was able to be Perfect Chaos without going Super Sonic. It's possible to say the same for Shadow. 5:36 I'm not the only one who's hearing this right. I can hear All Hail Shadow in the background. I guess SEGA loves that song for Shadow.
The same could be said by the fact that he took on Overlord without braking a sweat in his base while in heroes he needed the whole squad aswell as Team Sonic in their Super forms
Kind of hope he actually keeps the Doom Powere since he does have Black Dooon DNA, influenced or not, it'd be cool even if he has to reunlock them without the Doom Influence, but I want to see them come back. Especially because it would be nice yo see Sega dive into his Black Arm DNA, and Hybrid Nature instead if just making him a Darker Sonic in terms of abilities basically.

There's an optional line of dialogue from Gerald where he says that if shadow removed his limiter rings in his current doom-powered state he would probably explode from the amount of energy.
Nah, it's a really underwhelming final boss. It's just a reskinned Metal Overlord with a pseudo Super Shadow second phase that doesn't feel nearly as grand as they want it to be.
It doesn't. Infinite's squad was alive when Eggman found The Ruby. Shadow simply doesn't fight with hatred in his heart anymore. It doesn't mean that he doesn't kill. He just doesn't really think about killing his enemies in the most brutal manner.

If he took out his inhibitor rings, people would’ve lost it. I know I would’ve. Still great they managed to make an awesome final boss that didn’t have a super form involved. The inhibitor rings are literally the only thing that could’ve made this boss fight perfect for me.

I know the game was set in a canon timeline next to Sonic Generations. But I can keep thinking of what Dr.Eggman would feel of running into his Grandfather and cousin . The best I can think of was an old comic where Batman met his parents in adulthood from an alternate reality and a single tear fall off his cowl.
Definitely struggling on this fight mostly because when I get up to him I only do just 1 kick and I’m just struggling i get more out to end the fight faster, I can’t remember what I’m doing wrong haha Still though pretty good to get it under 4 minutes

There is more that I wanna see in the new Shadow game this 2024. I feel like Shadow Generations should have 7 to 9 stages that are not dlc. Stages that are already there since day 1. I like all the stages that Sega have put in the game (Space Colony Ark, Rail Canyon, Kingdom Valley, Sunset Heights, Chaos Island and Radical Highway) but it is not enough. They should have include at least one stage from Shadow the Hedgehog 2005 so because of that, it could make sense and Shadow generations game can have at least 7 to 9 stages total that are not dlc. The perfect stage is Black Comet. When the player gets to the Shadow the Hedgehog 2005 stage in Shadow Generations, I hope they let Shadow use a gun or any weapon as an option while doing the stage. Like Sonic Generations, they should have included rival battles in the new game of Shadow. The perfect rivals are Emerl and Infinite. They should have combined the acts 1 and 2 of Dusty Dessert in the Mephiles boss fight so we can see what will the upgraded version of Dusty Dessert look like in Shadow Generations. Sad to say that Final Fortress did not have any stage on that game so because of that I wanna see Final Fortress as a dlc stage. Both Acts 1 and 2.
To be honest, Super Shadow would be nice, in Final Boss, and as all level playable ingame-transformation-move, instead of stupidly mainstream "only Sonic can goes to Super Sonic, and nobody else"-trashsystem.
Well Super Shadow already exists and so does Super Silver, but Shadow didn’t use his super form here because he’s become strong enough to the point where he didn’t need it in that moment

I feel like Sonic Generations remastered in Sonic X Shadow Generations is not even remastered at all. The new remastered game should have been remastered. What I see from the new remastered game is Sonic generations remastered is not even remastered at all. Based on my observation, it’s like rerelease game with some rewritten and adding few parts.
Not a huge fan of the emergent trend of final bosses being a glorified spectacle a braindead goldfish could defeat, but Neo Devil Doom certainly accomplishes passing the hype test with flying colors, even if he appears to be comically easy.
Tbf half of the point is also Shadow being more decisive in his own choice and stronger than back then, Doom's powers really was just the additional boost to utterly crush him, its one of the time where being comically easy despite being a big spectacle actually works

Aside from the beautifully gut-wrenching final cutscene, I'm not feeling this one at all. Such an underwhelming final boss. There's no real tension leading up to it. Phase 1 is a reskinned Metal Overlord, and Phase 2 is a bland pseudo Super Shadow section. And honestly, Kirk Thornton still failed to impress me. He sounds like a generic broody anime guy with no flavour, can't even think of one memorable line he has in this game. But Maria and Gerald are by far the highlights of this otherwise flimsy game.

Well Super Shadow already exists and so does Super Silver, but Shadow didn’t use his super form here because he’s become strong enough to the point where he didn’t need it in that moment

I feel like Sonic Generations remastered in Sonic X Shadow Generations is not even remastered at all. The new remastered game should have been remastered. What I see from the new remastered game is Sonic generations remastered is not even remastered at all. Based on my observation, it’s like rerelease game with some rewritten and adding few parts.

Not a huge fan of the emergent trend of final bosses being a glorified spectacle a braindead goldfish could defeat, but Neo Devil Doom certainly accomplishes passing the hype test with flying colors, even if he appears to be comically easy.
Tbf half of the point is also Shadow being more decisive in his own choice and stronger than back then, Doom's powers really was just the additional boost to utterly crush him, its one of the time where being comically easy despite being a big spectacle actually works

@@Freedmoon44Honestly, I'm not crazy about this final boss either. There's no sense of urgency nearly as much as there should be, the first phase is a reskinned Metal Overlord, and the pseudo Super Shadow section isn't nearly as cool as they want it to be.
Yeah to be honest I wish they didn't use the squid power thingy that much and made you actually run instead but sped up like a Mach section

Aside from the beautifully gut-wrenching final cutscene, I'm not feeling this one at all. Such an underwhelming final boss. There's no real tension leading up to it. Phase 1 is a reskinned Metal Overlord, and Phase 2 is a bland pseudo Super Shadow section. And honestly, Kirk Thornton still failed to impress me. He sounds like a generic broody anime guy with no flavour, can't even think of one memorable line he has in this game. But Maria and Gerald are by far the highlights of this otherwise flimsy game.
Well this game is straight up f cing terrible e.e they didn't even revive Maria =.= 0 out of 10
Maria is like Uncle Ben or Batman's parents. Her death is too important to the development of another character to just ignore.
