I played guitar and ditched it and now I only play ukulele, it's a stress free instrument and I'm having more fun with it than I ever had with guitar 👍🏆.

As someone who played both instruments, I recommend playing the ukulele first. It helps you learn strumming patterns and chords much easier. After you are comfortable with it, and can do the chords without any difficulty, you can upgrade to a guitar. Yes, it is a bit more difficult, but having the base of your training already learnt, it would be worth it in the long run :)
(FYI, I played the uke for over a year, and picked up a guitar last month, and am able to pick up the pace and everything you have to learn from guitar quite easily :) )
Learning guitar is much more harder, = transition to ukelele much easier
I started with guitar a few months ago, and boy it was hard especially with zero experience and self taught on it 😂
I can now play easy songs (strumming), my small hands don't yet to agree with me when trying to play plucking or any barre chords.
Now, I want to try ukulele, so I could bring it whenever I go out 🤣
That's true though, my cousin started with a Ukulele, and can play easier plucking on guitar (I'm jelly 😭), but she get confused on how to strum.
Guitar is heavy and big, don't wanna damage it when riding bus or trains.

I've started guitar and quit because it was hard for me then i began to play ukulele and played it for like a year and started to play guitar again it was so much easier compared to my first attempt

I started playing guitar this last year August when school started, and I improved with chords n stuff by myself because most of my classmates were just starting to learn notes. So vaginally I learned a lot faster than some of my classmates.
Then we had a concert, and I sang while playing the guitar, I was really shy since it was my first time singing in front of a crowd.

Ukulele is my comfort music instrument. The instrument I can play when I'm stressed, or with an eyes close until I fall asleep.

Hey if you want to be one of the few to say the word Ukulele correctly, it’s actually pronounced like “ooh-kooh-leh-leh” haha best way I could put it 😂
But personally I like to say “you-k” (uke) for short
I learned the guitar first, then i became interested in the ukulele after seeing that brother in law had one and he let me mess around with it. I bought one on of my own and it was very easy to learn compared to the guitar.

I've been writing songs for like a year now.I'm turning 13 this july. I've always wanted to have like yk professional kinda songs but Idk how to play any instrument. So i thought about a guitar. Tried to play a lil bit off my cousin's one. It was okay but a bit big for me cuz I've TINY fingers. So after doin a bit of research I'm now thinking bout gettin an ukulele. I'll talk to my parents bout it and have saved on online(soprano) that I really like. Wish me luck!! :)

Me personally I believe you should learn the guitar first, I started playing guitar when I was about 8 and am still playing to this day, but I just decided I wanted to start ukulele and it barely took any time to learn! But I believe that guitar really helped that, and I hope that whoever is reading this will push their limits and learn both, yes it’s hard at first but if you stick it out trust me it’ll be so worth it!

If you got perfect pitch haha then yes
nothing is easy to play by ear if you are not born with listening talent. Many people have to read sheet music only.

you can just buy a guitar and a capo and turn the guittar into a ukelele.this way you will get both instrument in one. also since youre using a capo it will lessen the string tension and make it much easier for beginners

I was thinking of getting a guitar because I wanted to try to learn popular string instruments, but I decided that I was going to get a ukulele instead because if it’s small and portable size and the fact that it has less strings. I have played violin for a few months and I’ve been on piano for years, so I’ve developed interest in the string instruments again.

Beautiful voice. There's also a couple of other options, the baritone ukulele, which is tuned like the 4 top of strings of a guitar or a 4 stringed guitar called the tenor guitar both tuned DGBE, Chicago tuning.
