i love the honesty of this video. so often, relationships between youtubers are put on a pedestal as if they are all huge dramatic instances of romance and conflict. i liked how open you both are to each other and us as viewers (not saying you have to reveal all your secrets) but it was very refreshing to see how chill you both now are with each other :))
exactly! you shouldn't of had to mention it to your audiences if you didn't want to :) i think sometimes once you involve your audience with personal stuff like relationships it can become really intense and there is a lot of pressure to maintain that image with viewers!

I don't normally comment, but this video really got me thinking - you two are such amazing examples of good communication, we spend a lot of time bottling things up and keeping things to ourselves, but really this type of friendship/relationship is what I believe we should strive for. Honesty and openness.

this was a cheap video concept to get views that you turned into a genuine, real life actual conversation, not only between each other as friends/ex's but also with the viewers to be open and honest about past relationships and keep the lines of communications open. I've not really stayed friends with any of my ex's. It's sad, because I'd like to in some cases. So seeing that some people have become friends after dating (even though they have clear attraction to each other) is both inspiring and wonderful to see. x

+Dazai Osamu I wouldn't worry too much.. you probably had an official relationship and loved or in love with each other. Hannah and Tim said they were 1 long distance, never were bf and gf (only dating) and it was only 3months. Most people that have a serious relationship and were together for a longer time are NOT friends right away or sometimes are never friends. And once you no longer have feelings you won't even think, worry about or even wish u were friends. Being civil and aquantences is more likely than actual friends especially when u both date again your partners might not feel comfortable which can cause awful fights in your new relationship. 😕 Wish it were different but it's hard and rare.. we r only human..can't help some emotions.

The way you two talk reminds me a lot of how me and my boyfriend talk. I love this video. Its so positive and makes me feel as if every issue is able to be talked about as long as you're both willing to.
This video is exactly the kind of thing that needs to be more common practice in the world. I know I would have been able to salvage a few more friendships out of relationships if we had just had better communication skills at the time to discuss our needs during and outside of the relationship. I actually loved this. Openness and honesty goals. I really want to have that with someone but I'm like the most closed in person imaginable, I can't ever ever ever reveal my feelings even when I really need to. Did you guys always have this level of honesty or was it something you've matured into?
I wish Dodie's questions were with either subtitles or the video had been louder. It was difficult to hear at times.
But other than that, I loved this! I'm good friends with a few of my exes, I like to see other people who get along with theirs too.

This was such an interesting video to watch. It's so refreshing to see you two being to open and comfortable talking about your past and it shows that you can still be friends after dating. I think far too often people talk about how you should cut off all ties with exes, but I'm glad that this kinda changes that.

Your friendship reminds me a little the one i have with one of my best friends. I asked her out and she said no (and why she wouldn't go out with me). We stopped to talk to each other for like 10 days, then we met a month later after that episode and now we are best friend again in the same way (except for the fact that i'm not interested in her anymore).

Hannah, in future you should display the question on the video as due to the position of the camera the microphone doesn't pick up the person asking the question as well which therefore means I have to raise the volume and that there creates points which are too loud, too low
