the biggest thing that bothered me about staff of kings is the fact that they didn't include indy's satchel for some reason (though it is in the PSP version).
So far Great Circle is a solid 10/10 for me if I'm using the same pillar grading system as you. It's hands down the definitive Indiana Jones game experience. Feels like a brand new movie you're playing through.😊
@@Pepp3777me too I was hesitant cus of the 1st person view but I tried it out on gamepass and I was hooked and loving it so far also the beginning with raiders is pretty cool shot by shot now I wish they could indy games based on each movies
@@kiillabytezopinions are subjective thankfully, personally me and what seems like many others are enjoying the gameplay aspects. Its more or less an immersive sim, and is very authentic to the films. Whip, stealth, goofy hand to hand combat, traversal, exploration, puzzles, disguises, goofy and interesting characters. Saying you don't like the gameplay is saying you don't like Indiana Jones or this game by any measure, because out of all the games its the only one to do the entire package right and within balance. Its a 10/10 for me, this studio has really surprised me because I don't give many games a perfect score.
The Emperor’s Tomb was actually my introduction to the Indiana Jones movies. An ex bf of my moms got me the trilogy with a bonus dvd and I just fell in love with the story. But it wouldn’t have happened without that gem of a game.
Great overview of Indiana Jones in gaming. Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb was my go to game back in the day. I can't wait to play The Great Circle.
@@kiillabytezexcept it is an excellent game, honestly its amazing how good it actually is and I had very low expectations for it to match up to the franchise
Lego Indy 2 was one of my first true heartbreaks as a child. Everything about it is so unpleasant and not fun. Also, I’m pretty certain that the “Play all levels in Free Play Mode” trophy on the PS3 version was straight-up broken, because I replayed every level multiple times in Free Play mode and it wouldn’t unlock.
5:55 - Why on Earth would you play that thing on N64? It was designed for PC, released on PC in November 1999, and on PC it contains all of the best audio visuals. A vastly compressed port was released on N64 only 1 year later, in December 2000, where it had to somehow fit into a 64 mb cartridge.
"9/10, I like playing a sexy fedora man" I remember playing Lego Indiana Jones 2 with my sibling and liking the open world, but upon recent replay maybe it was because the levels were so boring that's all you had to actually do in the game... coulda just made a Crystal Skull DLC for the first one, and maybe they coulda come out the crypt to make a Dial DLC too. Old Indy in Lego cutscenes would be charming, and the ending in Lego form coulda been similar to that battle chaos we get from other Lego titles (like the Star Wars ones, or maybe LOTR but I never finished that one)
“This is not going to be the best Indiana Jones game” he says about the best Indiana Jones game… Oh boy… we can only go down from here. Guess I should buckle up- we’re going for a ride.

My fav isn't here, but that's understandable. I played the 2600 version when I was twelve. It was not easy, and had a few mysteries itself with no way to solve them cuz YT was still a quarter century away. Fifty-four now, and relative to the limitations of the 2600 system, _Raiders_ was a deep game, at least as deep as the hallowed _Adventure_ , the first rpg. I am one hour and twenty four mins away from my second Indy game, _Great Circle_ . Hope they updated the graphics... 😂😂
@@kiillabytezI'm playing it on gamepass so paying 10 quid for the best game I've played this year and the best Indiana Jones game is a steal. 😂😂 you will change your tune when it has a slightly higher pixel count on a ps5 pro next year

The one thing that bothers me about Emperor's Tomb is the story. It's way too insane for an Indiana Jones story. Usually, the supernatural elements are relegated to the very end and climax of the story, giving it an air of subtlety, but here, Indy straight up fights zombies, ghosts, demons and whatnot with his stupid magical boomerang-knife-thing. It just feels way less like an Indiana Jones game at that point in my opinion. Indy's supposed to be a grounded everyman in crazy situations, he has no business fighting monsters and the like. Infernal Machine does this too, but to a much lesser degree, where you at least use your brains to deal with these kinds of enemies instead of a random superhero mcguffin. I still love these games a lot and play them occationally. To me, the three best Indy games are Fate of Atlantis followed Emperor's Tomb and Infernal Machine being about equally good, but for very different reasons. Those two games strangely compliment one another in strengths and weaknesses, as in what one does well, the other does less so.

Too bad that the most important part of a game is the gameplay, and in that aspect The Great Circle gets a 4/10 from me.

Indiana Jones Greatest Adventures is a hidden gem
It's got the feel of the Super Star Wars games with Indy

I recently just got the infernal machine for my N64
I can tell you put a lot of effort into this video, great job! I played Lego Indiana Jones 1 as a kid and it was the best
Fate of Atlantis is my favorite but Temple of Doom the arcade took a lot of my money.
The great circle stands on the shoulders of all these games.
But it also is the BEST Indiana jones game ever.
I honestly hope they make another one
Just recently got the great circle for my Xbox
Just here to say The Great Circle is my favorite. Staff of Kings on psp was my favorite.
Only game you were missing was the Indiana Jones Adventure on SNES
one of the best ones
Great video the editing was great
Top notch video mate

The Great Circle isn't an Indiana Jones game. It's an Indiana Jones Simulator.

I would have put staff of kings at Number 3 since the wii version has fate of atlantis built in
