The fang QS-4 can be easily modded to take half darts too - you can just pop put the AR, and remove the dart pegs.
Took me about 5 minutes to do - part of that was searching for one of the springs from the AR which rolled off the bench..........
Yeah, not dropping the ar springs is the hardest part of modding a Fang
That spot on the bottom left kept making me want to wipe my screen.
The contrast between the orange work surface and your PNW Pallor makes your arms look monochrome. Not just white but grayscale. It's trippy

Find a way to make the porcupine reliable, fire every time, and paint it to look mean. Strap it to your back or bag with a trigger mech around the front on the bag strap or whatever; if someone sneaks up behind you, let it fly. He's got your back.
Another neat thing for the Fang, you can remove the barrel part and take out the ARs and it makes for a very quick and simple shotgun pistol.
This Alpha Strike blaster might actually have some potential!

Eventually, yes. Most of the parts and tools for more complex mods are still not unpacked.
Most likely the reason they're able to reduce cost is the lack of screws but not really for the reason of reducing the material cost. Screws take a relatively long time to put in, which has huge effects on the amount of time your product takes to make. Seconds off of this time can save you alot of money. The all plastic design does this. It everything snaps on a worker or robot can assemble a product extremely quickly.

Fill the smart AR box with hot glue, except for the first barrel. Hard hitting single shot blaster with a 3 dart reserve.
As a broke student, im tempted to pick one of the fangs up (or the revolver one) and find some way to get k26 or equivalent in the uk to make a nice hard hitting secondary

I have a Rival Edge Jupiter and it can handle a K26 and it is A BEAST!!!! I had to cut it WAY shorter than the original spring to get enough compression, but the original spring has a lot of preload so there is no spring rattle even with a short K26 and it fires HARD and LOUD but you need to brace good and hard to your shoulder to prime it though but we'll worth the effort for the accuracy of this blaster compared to my Hades (k26'ed as well)

I really think the design of the fang is a real winner.
Compact, multiple shot, nice and simplistic, and seems to have a great grip.
It's everything I thought that zombie strike equivelant that came out not too long ago should be, if only this was hammer primed.

You may want to put screws in the back plate of that. I get the feeling that the plastic tabs wont hold too long with a spring upgrade.
Also, take out the posts for using shot darts.

I put a cut down piece of worker 25n spring. A firestrike or pink crush plunger head will fit the tube but figuring out the catch would be a job. Needs better barreling.

also.... this is a really odd thing to mention but for some reason the new table kind of...disorients me.... it's like so solid orange that my mind has no idea where I am in relation to the space, where as like the familiar scratches/stains of the old one makes me think "oh yeah, I'm definitely looking down at a table"... I'll probably get used to it....
It will also eventually get scratches and stains.
I think you are right about why it is loosing so much power as it progresses down the barrels. IT is just too much power, and due to the cheap build quality air escaped out of the other barrels Smart ARs. I bet you will be able to detect some small amount of airflow out of the upper barrels as you go.

Well the old one wasn't really wood. It was MDF. This is also MDF, it is just painted.

You could take the smart ar system out of the fang, and make it single shot.
Yup, I have explained this in many previous videos. What surprised me is how much more of a drop there is with the higher powered blaster. Stock it lost 5 fps per barrel. With k26 is was losing more like 20-30 fps per barrel.

Maybe people will reconsider some of the Alpha Strike blasters seeing that they can take K26. I know I think it'd be cool to run the 'garbage' blasters and scare everyone.

I think it's mean of them to make the Porcupine be able to take a K26 but not things like the Hammershot or Rampage

@@CaptainXavier Technically there is an example of the upgraded one shooting, but it's at an angle where you can't really tell what it's like (although it is impressive visually)

Yes it is. I don't have them anymore. In the recap not only do I say I don't have one but there is a caption stating that the modded one is already broken...
We did a test firing at the Mod party...there was a little difference but nothing impressive.
