While it doesn’t shoot well, I personally think the Deploy looks pretty cool. I really like how you described the many uses it has in the form of harvesting it’s parts.
Here's a joke. I jammed a Titan tank into the back of a Deploy and hid it in the stock. I modified the pump grip to be an old Raider grip, and made it able to pump the Titan tank. Let's just say it confused a lot of people... until it broke the skin of someone I fired at and shredded itself to bits when the tank kind of.. failed.
I'm no noob, not by a longshot (ha!) But I did put an OMW spring into my Deploy and was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. Was it a beast, no, but it was a lot better. And for grins I took it to Thunderdome after last NVZ and had a blast! Plenty of hits and nobody expected it. But by no means will I make it a primary in anything other than a small backyard war like that. Sometimes you just have to be silly and have fun.
Exactly! Sometime the real fun is handicapping yourself for the challenge. A truly skilled Nerfer can get tags with any weapon. Far too many Nerfers are entirely dependent on their souped up primaries and have no actual skills. :P

I use the Deploy when playing with my kids because we love it no matter what people think. Yea it's crappy but we have fun with it and it's the 1 that I got 1st.
Hmm...maybe one day I might try and do a FULL rework of a deploy, remove all the internals and replace them with stryfe internals, get rid of the 'deploy' functionality, extend the carry handle out to the front of the gun (kinda like the battle rifle from halo) and I think I'd have the mag well where the priming grip is. Idk I think it'd look cool XD
If you have more then one longstrike it would be awesome to see if you could put tristrike internals into it as it seems like a simple enough mechanism that it might be possible. Also I'm pretty sure a sentinel could take a k26 if you could get your hands on one.
Captain Xavier the deploy is amazing if your a moder like you,Walcom, drac, and a lot of Others like you and me who actually like it I really want on to because it has a lot of good parts in it
"You could replace the internals with a normal plunger tube quite easily." Hahaha just imagining Captain X hiding in a corner with a black and orange k26 Longstrike is HILARIOUS.
I loved my Deploy. I always wanted to keep the deploying feature and make a large holster to use it as a backup blaster. I know it wouldn't be that great but I just liked the idea. Sadly I was made fun of for it and I ended up scrapping it for parts.
Captain Xavier I know. Let people play how they want to play. Now that I am older and couldn't care less about what others think and am starting to mod blasters I would love to get another one.
Also that dart holder in the Deploy's priming handle comes in handy if you use a single shot blaster like a Jolt. Just wrap some tape around the dart holder to keep the two sides together and you can keep a dart in your pocket without the dart getting crushed.
I'm not clicking the thumbs downing on you. I'm clicking the thumbs down on how you were treated. bullies suck and have no right to treat you like that.
Captain Xavier exactly it was just fun. If you get time or run out of video idea you should totally try to make a deploy stryf that can still fold and deploy. It'd end up being a pretty interesting video I think even people who hate the deploy would find it interesting I think and it'd be funny as hell if you went to a war with an unpainted stock looking deploy only to pop it open and start shooting like a fully upgraded stryf
I have only ever seen the deploy as a parts blaster, but you have shown me that there are even more parts salvageable from it than I thought. thank you
I absolutely love the idea of putting stryfe internals in a deploy that sounds fantastic. I made a mag stock out of a demolisher stock and deploy magwell and I'm honestly really happy with it. One thing to note though is if you do that the mag release for it winds up being on the right side of the stock and at the very back corner so its kind of weird to release it but I have very large hands so i dont mind just simply a thing of note
Best use for a Deploy I've ever seen. Also, I agree with Coop about it being bad, but the Modulus Battlescout is far worse. Honestly, some noobs are bad, and some are okay. But no noob should be insulted like that, even the painfully clueless ones.
I like the distinction between a "Newbie" and a "Noob." A Newbie is someone who is genuinely new to a hobby and has no idea what they are doing because they have not had time to learn but who wants to learn. Such people should be taken in and taught and molded to be good additions to the community. A Noob is someone who is not new but still has no idea what they are doing and refuses to accept advice or to improve. Such people should be ridden out on a rail because they harm the community with their willful ignorance.
Idea: the auto stryfe internals added in a deploy, question is could you keep the deploy function. Now people will say I'm insane or stupid (probably both) for wanting such a thing but if you aren't having to prime, the pistol grip, in my opinion, is much less of an issue... now if I could just find a damn deploy i can test this myself but alas... no such luck.
I think you could actually. You would have to mount the flywheels in from of the mag well rotation part and the pusher behind. The question would be if the pusher arm is long enough.
Captain Xavier Seeing as I don't have one do you think there's enough space for the flywheel cage or do you think a increase in shell length would be necessary? (ps: was not expecting a response at 12:50 am)
That Destroyer looks really nice, and as a lefty I love seeing lefty guns. I was wondering if it would be possible or even smart to make it modular with the upgrades in this video and to model it a little bit more like a P90 and if so, I might be willing to commission it. (That is, if you have another one or if there is an easy way to get them) Another interesting idea is to model it like a P90 and somehow recreate it to use the rival mags because that would be the closest to the actual P90 mags possible. I would love to know if either of these is possible and a ballpark commission cost just for the labor and parts (for both if either is possible), I'll do some research on finding the gun and the prices on that, and hopefully if it's possible, we'll be in business.
I have the Sonic deploy. I found that the only real problem (other than the fact that I'm a lefty) is that it occasionally shreds darts. It functions like a normal N Strike gun, otherwise
As it should. The Deploy, Recon, Alpha Trooper, Raider, and LongStrike all had basically the exact same internals, just a different shell. They all performed about the same and none could be easily modded. The Longshot was the only one that was fundamentally different. It could be modded which is why it has stood the test of time.
Stampede's with a 11kg Everbilt spring (which is known for shredding gearboxes) have only gotten about 100 FPS. A full K26 is about 14kg, and if it doesn't have a sealed breech (which is really hard to get reliably functioning in a Stampede), then I would be surprised if it gets much more than 120 FPS.
The short answer is, as these fine fellows have stated, no. The amount of mods you would have to do for it to support a K26 would almost certainly not be worth the effort. You would need metal gears and probably a new motor and even then it might not work.
It's still got potential for only those who are evil geniuses enough to take on the task. Also, I scared the crap out of people for using one, ….and duel wielding Centurions too. Probably because they overrate me as a player but I think it's good, just gotta know how to use it is all.
The longstrike had a reverse plunger because those were cheaper to make than direct plunger setups and the longstrike, raider, alpha trooper, and deploy were all recon clones. Same basic internals, different externals.
I liked the deploy for the size it shrank to when it's collapsed... me and my friend used to just shrink em and throw them in a backpack as an emergency gun
I just realized that a deploy has sum potential FG42 build. might not be an effective blaster, but with some paint and added parts, it could look pretty cool
@@CaptainXavier I was thinking you could make it a Bullpup so from the front it just looks like a regular jolt. People would be like " HA! that guy's only got a jolt! Let's take him down!"BANG! BANG! But if any Nerf RUclipsr is going to be able to do this it would probably be you.
My unpopular nerf opinions: Rapidstrike sucks Centurion is great The Hyperfire is comfortable Vortex was terrible Ravager is good Breach loading is fine Rebelle is ok Magnus > Cycloneshot
How is Vortex being terrible unpopular? There's a small niche that actually uses them, me being one of them. Like Rival, their power is in CQB, not long range, and since they are incredibly complex, my Revonix probably will never see an upgrade(Yes I've taken mine apart, it took me 3 hours to figure out how to put it back together). Objectively, yes they are terrible, but I don't shy away from the challenge. Also, I love the Centurion and Magnus, just need to find a way of giving them a little bit of an upgrade. I literally posted my war footage of me using both over the last 2 months.
lol...i have 3 deploys, 2 yellow and 1 clear. I also got them for the parts. Apparently the stock makes a good holster. You have me excited (enough) too work on them now. thx bro.
my Nana's Neighbor has a Tri-Stike. I seen it in action before. I been thinking the Tri-Strike could be pump action, it would make since. the lefty rifle blaster looks cool for Cosplays like Sci-fi or Post Apoc. Scavenging parts is always fun.
The Deploy is awesome, my friend had one and it was perfect for basement wars cause of it's size. Now that we are older, we realize it was crap. However it is still fun to use and i have two ready to be stripped for parts.
I LOVE my Whiteout Deploy!!! Just looks cool to me. My main blaster is the EAT tho, love the EAT for battles. The Deploy just looks great to me with my Whitout Longstrike barrel attached :)
The destroyer XL actually looks awesome, wish the longshot was like that but except if it was ambidextrous I would but 10 but there is so much wrong with it but the shell is absolutely amazing
The longstrike was my second blaster and the first blaster I modded, however as my first I completely failed at reassembling the dang thing and as such I have a lavishly painted longstrike in a bin with other spare parts
My first ever nerf gun was a deploy, but i just cut of the top handle/iron sights for a really weird recon mod, and when i took it apart i thought it had a better spring
Captain Xavier you said something about shoving a stryfe inside a deploy. how would that work? i dont see a place for the flywheels. unless im just not looking in the right place
Thank you so much for making this video! I personally think the deploy is awesome and misunderstood plus it would make a really good prank gun if you could make it full Auto
as for the tri strike pump grip I have been talking to someone on Etsy about modifying a Retaliator pump grip kit to fit onto the tri strike he has told me that they are continuing to look into it but hopefully by March I will let you know
Now I want a Destroyer XL. I was actually impressed with plunger size. Oh goodness.... Edit: I generally despise the Deploy. Last I used it, it fired twice and jammed 5 times. I NEVER should've taken that challenge. However you did make a good point with the salvage it's worth. The flywheel mods are hilarious in everyway.
The Destroyer XL is actually right-handed when used with its stock and barrel. With the stock on, you simply brace it against your shoulder to operate the bolt and feed ammo with your right hand while stabilizing the blaster with your left hand under the barrel. Without the stock, of course, it's really wonky and, as you noted, works better for lefties.

it would be hilarious if you somehow miraculously made a full auto jolt!
Technically the Jolt is full-auto. If you hold down the trigger it will fire until it is out of ammo. :P
good point
@@CaptainXavier I was thinking you could make it a Bullpup so from the front it just looks like a regular jolt. People would be like " HA! that guy's only got a jolt! Let's take him down!"BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! "Oh no! we were so wrong to have thought he was a noob!" BANG! Thump!
The tricky part would be getting all the electronics as compact as possible. But if any Nerf RUclipsr is going to be able to do this it would probably be you.
Someone made one
My unpopular nerf opinions:
Rapidstrike sucks
Centurion is great
The Hyperfire is comfortable
Vortex was terrible
Ravager is good
Breach loading is fine
Rebelle is ok
Magnus > Cycloneshot
really dude? I have a rapidstrike and it is good
I've actually had better experience with some rebelles than some "manly" blasters
Rebelle has to have some of the best looking shells nerf has made, have you seen the Combow? It makes a really good gunblade hahaha
I LOVE the Magnus dude. The Cycloneshock is just a too big Strongarm, but the Magnus has STYLE.
4:37 i like that shade of blue on the tri strike over the green
It actually is the green. The lighting just does strange things to some colors.
I love my deploy. Gave it a 5kg spring till it blows and I’m going to try and put a direct plunger system in somehow.
The deploy is an absurd blaster but I still love it theres something about a spring loaded transforming toy that just makes me happy.
Right?
lol...i have 3 deploys, 2 yellow and 1 clear. I also got them for the parts. Apparently the stock makes a good holster. You have me excited (enough) too work on them now. thx bro.
Yeah, someone commented that the Deploy stock makes a great Hammershot holster. I have GOT to try that!
Wow; Chaylo Laurino is such a class act he can find beauty and value in a normally pathetic thrift store blaster, AND the notorious Deploy!
Man I love my deploy, just such a fun blaster the mess with
my Nana's Neighbor has a Tri-Stike.
Nice. There is nothing wrong with having liked it when you had nothing better and there is nothing wrong with retiring it now that you do.
Deploys are great for painting and showing
You are smart for buying it for parts.
lol I like how you use the screwdriver for the first screw and then you use the drill
I LOVE my Whiteout Deploy!!! Just looks cool to me. My main blaster is the EAT tho, love the EAT for battles. The Deploy just looks great to me with my Whitout Longstrike barrel attached :)
Nice. The whole Whiteout line does, indeed, have a very elegant look to it.
The deploy handle would be a nice foldable foregrip. it is made for it.
it would be so funny to see someone charging at you with a deploy only for it to be a super heavily modded full auto stryfe that hits like 150fps
Captain. Would it be possible to put elite alpha trooper internals in a deploy and keep the deploying gimmick
With enough epoxy, anything is possible.
Captain Xavier sounds lik I’ve got to get another deploy
i picked up a deploy because it had a 25 round drum for 1.99...and now i know i can strip it for parts its a double bonus!
My first ever nerf gun was a deploy, but i just cut of the top handle/iron sights for a really weird recon mod, and when i took it apart i thought it had a better spring
love your vids, an inspiration for all young nerfers! thank you for doing what you do🙂
Thanks!
Captain Xavier you said something about shoving a stryfe inside a deploy. how would that work? i dont see a place for the flywheels. unless im just not looking in the right place
side loading master race!
Thank you for saying those words those very nice that's what I do I'm a nice person and I let people borrow my Recon
Thank you so much for making this video! I personally think the deploy is awesome and misunderstood plus it would make a really good prank gun if you could make it full Auto
as for the tri strike pump grip I have been talking to someone on Etsy about modifying a Retaliator pump grip kit to fit onto the tri strike he has told me that they are continuing to look into it but hopefully by March I will let you know
I love the idea of an inverted Autimatico mag for the Deploy tbh.
btw the carry handle from the deploy is also cool to integrate into stuff
Indeed. :)
The third blaster is actually a knock off of a buzzbee gun. But it was mag fed and the bolt was on both sides
I'm going to run a deploy at ragnarocktoberfest
The Destroyer XL is actually right-handed when used with its stock and barrel. With the stock on, you simply brace it against your shoulder to operate the bolt and feed ammo with your right hand while stabilizing the blaster with your left hand under the barrel.
Without the stock, of course, it's really wonky and, as you noted, works better for lefties.
Syed-Ali Jafri I had not considered that. Good to know. :)
I've always wanted a deploy, it seems cool (as a concept)!
