I know and I want that legend fire, I'll put a k26 in it and brass the cylinder and put in a better air seal. It might be hitting almost 200fps after that.
Something tells me Dart Zone was started by Nerf modders. Beefy mechanisms, slamfire capable of taking a K26, no air restrictors, and the new LED blaster they're coming out with has separate circuits for the LEDs and the flywheels! Also, yay for chainable belts.
Actually Dart Zone just keep using older designs as plastic/resin/injection molding was quite as good back then and Nerf pretty much launch themselves to the front of it ~10 years ago with the Stampede; while Dart Zone (and BuzzBee) just not take the left turn that Nerf had after the failure of the Vortex line, which was dead on arrival as Nerf had no commitment to it unlike the rival line; but that is rather ominous to the rival line.
+Captain Xavier any ideas on how you would go about that because I was thinking of putting the prime underneath and connecting two on each side of a blaster because they are fairly cheap, sort of similar to walcom's hellsender (the double magnus blaster in case I got the integration name wrong)
What I did was to cut out the plastic along the priming rod, and 3D print a piece that hooked onto it and primed at the top. I then cut off most the barrel so that the cylinder still stayed on and took of the handle
I love you! Thanks for the Magnum segment! This episode alone makes watching your entire catalogue worth the time. Thanks for all you do & your humor as you do it. I don't even care that this makes me sound all fanboy. You rock!
Just a heads up, regarding the tri-fire and its adventure force counterpart, the air restrictors can be removed by taking out 3 screws in the barrels, and taking off the back cap. They fall out easily, and is probably the easiest, and cheapest, blaster to upgrade. I use it as my backup blaster, and it performs much better than my old triad
The Magnum can take a k26, but I can't prime it easily with one. Worth a try, but I ended up putting back the stock spring. I did take off the silly arm thing and the flapper that stops you putting stuff down the barrel and into the drum.
That Legendfire does paint up very nicely. I don't use mine, but it looks sweet hanging on the wall as a display item. After sanding and priming, I dry brushed the main body slowly... into a nice metal, then did a wood style of paint on the handle and pump grip thing. (Never take it outside kids.. or adults.)
I feel like you could flip the legendfire upside down to mount it to something turning it into a top prime reverse break where it breaks up instead of down
Now that i see the magnum drum, and since walcom gave you a fearless fire, i was wondering, would it be possible to replace the fearless fire's puny 20ish dart drum and replace it with the magnums 40 round drum?
seeing the quality of these new "off" brands it makes me really question if nerf is still at the top... like nerf seems to not care anymore like they did in the early 2000's
Nerf does seem to be slipping. I suspect part of it is running out of good ideas. At the same time their competitors are REALLY upping their game lately. BuzzBee plastic is still cheap but as a result so are their blasters and their designs are vastly superior to many Nerf blasters at this point. DartZone has also surprised everyone with the stock power of their blasters. Competition is good! It breeds innovation! Nerf will have to step up their game and I look forward to the results!
I love nerf, but I haven't wanted to ever buy anything new from them (well maybe the regulator... but im holding out) for over 5 years. I wished nerf made their accessories easier to get. Like stocks, barrels, masterkeys, stuff from regulators. went to the store one time to buy a stock and barrel kit and it was over $40. for a couple of peice of plastic and NO BLASTER??? yeah no. I went home and looked online for someone selling nerf stuff, for $40 I got :- Hyperfire , that big blue starwars special one (came with the barrel, stock and scope!), the Recon Mk 2, a rampage, a rhino fire and a centurion. yeah, screw your brand new prices nerf
I go to the Magnum almost a year ago and I put a 12kg nerfturf spring in it and used some epoxy putty to reinforce everything. consistently shoots almost 100 feet. it's amazing
Hey Captain Xavier, A fun thing I did with my Legend Fire was putting a Sharpfire stock on the back for stability, you should totaly try it if you ever buy a new one.
i had a modified maverick, I put a night finder spring (or the n-strike version if I've got the names confused) but the metal rod snapped in 2 or 3 and it only catched half the time, but it hit like a beast
You could have the LegendFire break backwards (the bit with the plunger tube goes down instead of the barrel). It might take some adjusting of the break switch, but it should be possible. Protip: You can ditch the wrist-rest on the Magnum and flip its stalk around to make a nifty hand guard. Also, it looks like you have a removable Magnum drum; it requires an Allen wrench (shove it into the hole in the back).
Oh Captain my captain, have you considered making a 2-shot absolver? For example, taking an 8 round cylinder and making it fire the 4 darts in the top, bottom, left and right position, and then have it be rotated to place the remaining 4 darts in these positions so it can immediately be fired again. No reload or switching necessary.
any ideas on how to make the trigger still work on the superdrum? I don't know enough on the mechanism to attempt adjustment without probably ruining it.
My legendfire (completely stock) lasted me about a week, I shot it about for about 3 magazines and the connector for the barrel to the main assembly blew up and it just stopped working from then on no fixing it just gone
the little triad blaster I forgot the name of has a very unreliable rotation mech (at least the one walcolm had was). you could manually rotate it but then you might as well use a tri blast
I realize this is an earlier video, but I am currently binge watching CITAK26, and I have a theory as to how to masterkey the legendfire: the pump is unnecessary, as I see it. It could be minimized by removing the barrel and pump, and putting a priming rod on the side of the plunger rod. At that point, you could take the grip off and epoxy the faux trigger's place and place it under a recon barrel or whatever you choose with the front of the cylinder being left open without the barrel, effectively leaving it as a front-loader which you could change out if desired. I realize I have done an atrocious job of describing this, but I really believe this would make for an effective underbarrel blaster.
7:56 Recently, I found a dart zone legend fire , it was so fun to shoot until 1 day after it turned out to be a lemon, from what you say , it's exactly what mine is suffering from , I finally got the answer I was looking for , I saw many reviews before finding this video , now I'm afraid to buy another from where I got it because what if it's another lemon, I wish you could've fix it so that I could use that to fix mine , but , alas, 10$ down the drain.
I wonder how turning a legend Fire into a shoulder cannon would go, I mean even if it wasn't that good functionally having that huge rifle on your shoulder would look cool as heck
So not only does the magnum super drum have slam fire and a 40 round turret, but it can take K26 and goes up to 130 fps. This is like a superblaster...
What if you mounted a legendfire as an undermount sideways? I get taking it apart again would be rather tricky, but, would it be practical enough to work?
Hey Cap. For the legend Fire master key what would you think would be the best way to mount. My wife likes her demolisher but she did not like the hamp.i trimmed the hamp off. She saw this video and was wanting me to do this for her. We went to local Wal-Mart and found the lengendfire on clearance for 3 dallors.i bought all 6 of them they had figured would be great for our local kids wars for our loaners. She loves the idea of the master key any thoughts. I also found out that the 12 kg retaliator worker spring works great the Legendfire but it makes the plastic warp. Sorry if this is so long. Needing help thanks
Also cap have you gotten your self another legend fire. Going try and send you the deadpool Blasters along with the A legend Fire if you are needing one.
I think that you should try making a mix of the blitzstrike and legend fire. Then you could make a great revolver rifle with that cool lever cylinder loader. What do you think?
Great video! I love this series. I'm working on an interesting integration with a magnum right now and, based on your results, ought to put a bit of K26 in it. It has been a few months now, but do you remember how long the piece you put in there was? The same length?
For the sake of making a Legend Fire masterkey, why not secure the front of the blaster and have it open and load from the back? Less plastic to get in the way of opening and a bit more practical with a rear reload.
hey cap, i was wondering; you use kilo's for draw weight, (as anyone should) but you use imperial measurements for everything else. isn't it time to switch tp fully metric?
Hey captain I have a question for QNA Cam you have a titan tank in a magstrike while still having the pump functional Ps love the videos keep up the amazing work
Not sure if anyone will reply since this is old, but will the magnum internals hold up with the k26 over time? I’d like to put one in but I want to know if it’s gonna hold up
I tried putting a k26 in a magnum superdrum and ended up having to take the catch spring out of my other one and use it to double up the catch because it wasn't strong enough.
Hey Xavier. I was trying to acquire K26 to ship to Australia but McMaster don't ship here. I was wondering if there was a way I could do it through you (although shipping will be very high).
Captain Xavier, you don't need to put tape or anything on the rod for the Magnum Superdrum's drum. You have the newer one so you just need to poke an allen wrench through the hole in the blaster that goes into the rod and it depresses the catch so it can be removed. They show it on their own video here: dartzoneblasters.com/magnum-drum-install/
i have been binge watching your channel since yesterday, and you got me wondering... have you ever made a Co2 rocket/grenade launcher? i remember seen a kid (back in 2010, he is probably older than me nowadays) that made one with those emergency bike pumps that work with co2 canisters, a pvc tube and hotglue. sadly, he deletes lot of his videos :(
"I'd rather have no trigger than a faux trigger" I felt the same way when I took mine apart. Brilliant phrasing 🤣
This video makes me want to go out and buy a bunch of dart zone blasters. They're all so cool
You mean adventure force lol
@@baconlord9062 Adventure force is a subline created by DartZone.
I know and I want that legend fire, I'll put a k26 in it and brass the cylinder and put in a better air seal. It might be hitting almost 200fps after that.
This aged beautifully
Some of them are easy to mod too
It seems like these Dart Zone blasters are better than NERF even stock, the off brands seem to be getting better and take mods better as well.
ShinKyuubi the Magnum is like the cheapest and farthest shooting dart blaster you can get. I have two and they are beautiful
nerf is too afraid of getting sued
Something tells me Dart Zone was started by Nerf modders. Beefy mechanisms, slamfire capable of taking a K26, no air restrictors, and the new LED blaster they're coming out with has separate circuits for the LEDs and the flywheels! Also, yay for chainable belts.

Weird, right?
legend fire master key... I like the sounds of that
It does have a lovely ring to it...
+Captain Xavier any ideas on how you would go about that because I was thinking of putting the prime underneath and connecting two on each side of a blaster because they are fairly cheap, sort of similar to walcom's hellsender (the double magnus blaster in case I got the integration name wrong)
Nope...no idea
Joshua sardinas just connect the front barrel to the bigger gun and allow the back to swivel down
What I did was to cut out the plastic along the priming rod, and 3D print a piece that hooked onto it and primed at the top.
You rock!
You are welcome! And thank you!
Probably my favorite K26 episode yet. Glad to see this. Thanks for sharing.

They fall out easily, and is probably the easiest, and cheapest, blaster to upgrade. I use it as my backup blaster, and it performs much better than my old triad
I kind of want to see the front pump of the new quatro blast and put it on the magnum.
Oh my god yes, the Quatroshot's front grip is amazing. (I got one just yesterday.)
That trifire becomes much easier to prime with a leather lanyard strung through it.
That is a much better idea than a keyring. Oh! Someone sent me a paracord key fob! That might work!
The magnum super drum is my current secondary (modded of course), and I absolutely love it, but I'm for sure upgrading the spring now.
Rex Cristallo Spada CT- 3981 I'm curious as to how you holster that thing. Wasn't even aware that was reasonably possible.
*I WANT to see a forty round absolver.* push the limits of what's possible captain.
The Magnum can take a k26, but I can't prime it easily with one. Worth a try, but I ended up putting back the stock spring. I did take off the silly arm thing and the flapper that stops you putting stuff down the barrel and into the drum.
Also, production goof!! When you bring up the 'After' stats on the Superdrum, the 'Before' stats are the ones from the Legendfire.
Dang it! I was so careful! Oh well. Thanks for pointing it out.
That Legendfire does paint up very nicely. I don't use mine, but it looks sweet hanging on the wall as a display item. Will you try making a 40 shot absolver out of a magnum cilinder?
OH MY GOD YES
I would need something like a pumpkin cannon to power it...but it would be fun.
Come on Cap, if anyone could do it, it would be you.
Just picked up a magnum at goodwill for 5 dollars. Never even heard of it before but, damn this thing is fun.
Turbo advance would be better for that :)
The Legendfire can be intergraded sideways with a bold-like bar mechanism attached to the priming handle. That way it can still reload.
I find it hilarious that the Legendfire's internals are green, too.
Happy St. Patty's Day (in 2018).
Now that i see the magnum drum, and since walcom gave you a fearless fire, i was wondering, would it be possible to replace the fearless fire's puny 20ish dart drum and replace it with the magnums 40 round drum?
We have spaceships...so yes, obviously it is possible. Easily? With the tools and skills I have. No.

A possible name for your X-strike Superdrum: ThunderFist
A possible name for a TEK-3 modded beyond all belief: Backlash
For HvZ The Magnum would be a beast because you can top off the drum as you are moving
the little triad blaster I forgot the name of has a very unreliable rotation mech (at least the one walcolm had was). you could manually rotate it but then you might as well use a tri blast
That first blaster reminds me of a Dardick. Almost a Dardick, Liberator, Luger kind of vibe.
*evil giggles* yes the magnum super drum can’t take a k26
The LegendFire is kinda weird, but the way it opens is cool, and looks GREAT with a paint job.
The old Buzzbee Double-Shot? (I'm not sure of the actual name, I just know it's an old break-barrel double barreled shottie.)
I realize this is an earlier video, but I am currently binge watching CITAK26, and I have a theory as to how to masterkey the legendfire: the pump is unnecessary, as I see it. Captain Xavier true, but my idea is to keep it in the traditional orientation of am underbarrel launcher.
the legend fire would be the perfect boom stick
You could mount the legendfire sideways , so it could break to the side.

Isn't the little tri-revolver with k26 an nerf compatible m6 handcannon?
What if you mounted a legendfire as an undermount sideways? I get taking it apart again would be rather tricky, but, would it be practical enough to work?
I don't think this would work well. However, you could also just forget the whole breaking action and reload it like a normal non-breaking revolver.
True, but I am a big fan of the break action style. Tempted to make a loadout around one.
Hey Cap. For the legend Fire master key what would you think would be the best way to mount. My wife likes her demolisher but she did not like the hamp.i trimmed the hamp off. Merging the rotation mechs would be a beast...but possible. I think you should try it.
Hello caption x you could cut down the barrel on the legend fire make it shorter and add a stock that could be fixed or modular
I feel like the legendfire will be an excellent masterkey
Are you going to buy the blaster by them coming out that shoots rival balls? I know drac has one.
Probably not.
I like trains. There should be more trains
I asked and you delivered. Good stuff
Hey have you ever thought of making a Nite-Mav out of that Blitzefire revolver? I think I'm gonna try that soon.

Neat!
Question: what’s the length of the spring you used for the magnum and will I have to upgrade the catch spring
No idea, and no.
@@CaptainXavier alright then thanks
So is it too complicated to be worth modding a trigger into the Legendfire? It's a sexy blaster but damned if I hate slamfire-only.
I would say, yes. Very much so.
How hard would it be to add a trigger system to the legendfire? Cause having a trigger on the legendfire would make it so much better.
Very. Not worth the effort.
That's too bad. I really like the shell and pump action. Just really needs a working trigger
For the sake of making a Legend Fire masterkey, why not secure the front of the blaster and have it open and load from the back? Less plastic to get in the way of opening and a bit more practical with a rear reload.
Very true. You should do that and send me pictures. :P

hey cap, i was wondering; you use kilo's for draw weight, (as anyone should) but you use imperial measurements for everything else. isn't it time to switch tp fully metric?
Certainly! Send me a Metric measuring tape and a metric Chrono and I will get right on that. ;P
Hey captain x you could make the legend fire side primed so you could remove the priming mech and shorten it to the start of the barrel
A three shot.... revolver?
God I want that
Sergeant Serendipity Check Dollar General. $10 for 3 of them.
I just got the boomco double rushes, sent you a etsy message, but the old one accidentally got deleted. Sorry about that.
Cool...I need to mod mine!!
Do you need to rewire your blaster if you are planning on using imrs like 2 of them
No. Stock wires and motors can take 2 IMRs just fine. 3 will eventually burn them out. $...don't do it...
Nice work! How many coils did you use for the magnum? When I tried I ran into major compression issues.
I'm not sure. It is the same length as the stock spring.
Good to know!
+CaptainXavier How do you determine the weight of a spring?
I use a bow scale
I don’t know if this was asked yet, too many comments to go through. Haha. But how long of a spring did you cut for the magnum?
I do not know exactly. Generally I go with the minimum amount that avoids spring rattle.
What happened to the stats on the magnum superdrum when the K26ed stats appeared?
Typo
Add a key ring to the bottom of the 3 shot pistol.
Did you ever get the legend fire to work
Does anyone know where I can get one of these springs? And what length the one used for the Magnum is? I really wanna stick one in my Magnum!
Solstice mallory-mccarty k26 can be gotten at McMaster-Carr's website (google it) and I cut it the same length as the stock spring.
Thanks Cap! Awesome Vid, thanks for posting it!
Hey captain I have a question for QNA
Cam you have a titan tank in a magstrike while still having the pump functional
Ps love the videos keep up the amazing work
Captain, did you ever get a chance to chrono the pump-grip Havok I sent you? I'm intensely curious.
Not sure if anyone will reply since this is old, but will the magnum internals hold up with the k26 over time? I’d like to put one in but I want to know if it’s gonna hold up
I doubt it.
And it makes the prime so heavy it is not worth it.
I have got a new job I shall be sending out the scout shortly captain x
I AM SO HAPPY HOLY SHIT
:D
I tried putting a k26 in a magnum superdrum and ended up having to take the catch spring out of my other one and use it to double up the catch because it wasn't strong enough.
Yeah, I think I need to do this in mine now too. It caught for a while but now won't.
try and make the legendfire use a trigger

Hey Xavier. I was trying to acquire K26 to ship to Australia but McMaster don't ship here. I was wondering if there was a way I could do it through you (although shipping will be very high).
Big Poo does out of Darts Etsy shop ship to you? He has k26.
Rory Stevens I hope he does. His shipping price is pretty good
what spring did you use to upgrade the blitzfire
Random spring from the bin #135, I call him Steve.
ill keep that name in mind thanks captain
Captain Xavier, you don't need to put tape or anything on the rod for the Magnum Superdrum's drum. You have the newer one so you just need to poke an allen wrench through the hole in the blaster that goes into the rod and it depresses the catch so it can be removed. They show it on their own video here: dartzoneblasters.com/magnum-drum-install/
Good to know! Thanks!
