Love the bounce! Planning to build this exact board and switches. I really hope Finalkey/Cidoo release a v3 with 2.4ghz dongle which 1st appeared in qk75, the first aluminum board with 2.4ghz wireless feature. hmmm
the flex looks non existent. looks like it was bouncing more from being pushed into the mousepad hard. just watch the distance from the top of a corner keycap. seems like it doesn't flex at all
@@TheCodyK the flex is very evident. It’s an aluminum case so it’s harder for it to be the board bouncing form pushing it down because it’s harder and heavier. You can tell he wasn’t pushing that hard
@@ra3.33 yes, if you push hard enough everything can have flex 🤣. it was literally being pushed into the mouse pad. when he was pushing it down you notice the whole board went down, not the keys themselves. it's gasket mounted, which in turn would not bring the whole frame down as opposed to just the keys. and to the point of "he's not pushing that hard" he was using 2 hands. just cause he's not slamming his hands down on the keys doesn't mean he's not using a decent amount of force to push the whole board down into the pad (which he's clearly doing)
@@TheCodyK if you actually cared enough to watch the video you would see in the bit after he put the switches on and was putting the pcb and plate in the case itself it bounces.😒
@@TheCodyK and you can obviously see it bounce when he’s pressing the space bar.

Do you think you could compare this with the Xinmeng A66? You can get the cidoo v65 for 5.2k with vouchers, and Xinmeng A66 for 4.4k with vouchers.
Is cidoo a better pick than the sugar65? I've been eyeing on these two. Too bad they're not restocking this color sa v65

I have ordered the R1 before realising R2 was even a thing. Board is on the way now. I wanted to cancel but seller said stg around the lines of I will additionnally give you the R2 upgrade kit and an additional knob. I said fine. Though I searched a bit, I didn't find how R1 and R2 differed. Do you know by any luck know what changed? Great video btw!

I personally like the V65 better. But like with everything else in this hobby, it's all about preference.
I just like the overall acoustics of the V65 better. Typing feel wise, they're pretty close.
Wait so would I have the same experience if I bought the board from shoppee as if I bought it from epomaker? Is it the same case pcb plate?
what size knob does it have? where can i get other knob options for the v65?
do know if the fr4 plate scratches the inside at all? I see a review mentioning it and I planned on using the fr4 plate.

You'll need to load up the .JSON file and under the design tab, check enable V2 definitions
Should detect fine after that
Sounds great i have tofu65 and modded k12 but might buy it as 3rd keyboard 👍🏼
I have a question so between the finalkey and qk65 which one would you prefer more between these keyboards? :oo I was curious what would your opinion and choice would be
Qk65 is the better one, but it costs double the price
Is the only difference between the r1 and r2 the keycaps and the colors available?

they just have the fr4 and pc plate unfortunatly

Idk which to choose between Monsgeek, Kbd67 lite or this board
Kbd67 lite is a plastic keyboard so you can't compare it with a metal keyboard

They all have their strengths and weaknesses, but i think that KBd67 is a bit overpriced for the plastic case but i prefer its cleaner look the most, moonsgeek i think its a safe choice since i believe akko is a more reputable brand, i have a few keyboards from them and they all feel quality, but in the end I went with v65 r2, first of all, i prefer the 65% layout, second it offers Bluetooth, and m1 doesn't and i also happen to not like the design off the m1, but that is subjective. in the end no one can decide which is better other the yourself.
I might just downgrade to this from my q75
