Thank you so much for clarifying about the MSG. I'm so sick of good foods/ingredients getting a bad reputation based on silly rumours. Using MSG can cause you to actually consume less sodium overall, compared to using just salt.

Hi Sarah!! I wanted to let you know I watched this video a few days ago and have made a blended coffee drink 3 times so far!! I am so happy you shared your coffee recipe. I used dark chocolate almond milk, instant coffee, ice, and drizzled Torani dark chocolate syrup, yummmm... I will have to get some xanthum gum and try that. THANKS FOR SHARING < 3

Soy curls/soy chunks/tvp are just the top lockdown protein right? Same for me XD
My local stores haven't had much plant-based protein in stock but I found a bunch of Gardein Asian inspired faux meats (I'm pretty sure it's just because no one knows what they are). I'm currently eating the sweet and sour porkless bites with rice, pineapple, and lightly pickled red onions and it's pretty bomb.
My soy curls should be coming in the mail soon...do you have any videos or blog posts where you use them? Much appreciated!

They use MSG to induce obesity in rats. So that’s why I don’t eat it. And it may not cause headaches, but if you’re someone who already gets headaches it could exacerbate them (anecdotal, but worth considering).

I think I develop taste aversions all the time? Right now I cannot stand bananas, and I usually love them. But when I try to eat them lately I can’t even stomach taking a bite.

I understand the food aversions. Right now, for absolutely no reason, I don't like cucumbers.
However, usually mine last years.. I really liked cucumbers I hope I can eat them again soon without my brain saying "ew gross spit it out".

Great video and food. Eric's MSG joke wasn't that funny and seriously it does cause headaches because I get one if I consume foods that contain it. Because of the headaches I try my best to avoid foods that contain it and MSG is supposed to increase your appetite meaning you want to eat more so that's another reason to avoid it. I don't want to increase my food budget it's expensive enough without adding to it by eating a ingredient that increases your appetite.
People also say it decreases your appetite. Theres not definitive evidence for either position and most human testing has shown theres no real effect

Edit: I listened to the podcast. You rehomed him. It doesn't really sound like you guys tried to adjust him to his new reality...it sounds more like you gave up. Sighs. Pet adoption is one of those things that I don't think people take seriously enough.
