You can use a nylon stocking over your vacuum hose, to catch grass or sand. This will let you recover your grass and sand. Just let some of the stocking go up your hose, and pull the hose off when done. Then empty the stocking into your container.
I knew this day would come when Overcrag City would be done. I'm glad the Utube algorithm sent you my way. Looking forward to the next project.
Or use a small portable car vacuum that is then only used for this purpose. They have canisters instead of bags to catch the debris. I've never seen it but I think there is an even smaller one for computers, but both would have to be checked for strength of suction (don't want a car vac that sucks up what you don't want sucked up😢)
The last houses!!! O no, what will happen when we have no more Undercrag City?? Great buildings, it was good to have a reminder on how to build both types.
Can't wait to see what fills that last little space, but then ...........
Marvelous as always and overcrag is looking quite beautiful. I'm sad it's so near the end, it's been a wonderful journey.
It is no small thing to say that, watching you build this ha been wonderful. I still envision those early morning walks through the city. Having watched it grow has been an inspiration. While watching this series, I can not help but think of lines from historical movies or journals. You think of those moments where characters, or people, would come across an empty patch of land. They look at it, and can see a vision in their heads, and say to themselves " This is good ground." I feel that is what the founders of this city thought to themselves when they first looked at this spot. Memories that have come to fruition, but somehow lost, worth preserving.
It has been a wonderful journey❤! Watching these cities, upper and lower Undercrag, come together, Amazing😊!!!
But I imagine it didn't start the way you proposed, since the first inhabitants were on the run & found caves that were convenient if not comfortable. From necessity of not knowing how long they would be in hiding, they made it a comfortable place to live. Then when it was safe to come back to the surface, they didn't want to leave because some of the people stayed below ground. So they worked with what there was available to them above the caves & made the land work for them😂!
I would love to find an actual city just like this❤!!! I also wish I had the colonials vision/imagination & talent (patience would help too🤭)
@marshawargo7238 I think you're right, definitely seems more correct lol.
Those "last" houses really were something.
Everything looks fantastic.
I am…amazed, delighted, sad & full of anticipation for the last building here and for where we’ll go next. I hope that before we leave you will give us a slow tour of the wonder that is Undercrag City at night when all the lights are shining. ❤
I'm getting emotional. This has been an amazing journey. I can't wait to see whats coming in the future
Oh Colonel…another fabulous set of buildings. What will we do when you’re finished? Cry, of course.
G'day to you again my Friend, All good things ,sadly ,come to an End, but what a Magic Journey its been, but it aint over yet, thanks again for a Smidgen of Sanity in our lives, till next time! Armadale West Aust.
Oh. My. Word!! These houses are so cute, but Scraps began to panic when you said they were almost the last buildings........Aaaargh!! You tease us with your amazing builds, then torture us with hints of final builds......Oh Woe!! What will we do on Sundays if we can't visit Undercrag City? I guess we'll have to wait for you to begin another project, but please don't make us wait for too long, pretty please? Scraps said she'll give up the extra pine nuts if you promise to continue with your world building! 😂😂😂 We're looking forward to the next installment of Undercrag City, so we'll see you then 😊😊😊😊
He's probably already started on it🤫! I imagine The Colonial doesn't allow any grass to grow under his feet😂! I'm wondering just where this monster is going to live & how much she weighs🤭! I hope they have more than one guest room or a large dry finished basement, so she doesn't have to be dismantled & put in the attic😢!!! That would be a travesty🥺!!!
@@marshawargo7238There were a few glimpses of a different project visible during this episode. Something that looked like an Ogre, two figures on a plank and something golden. And as they were not in 10 mm scale they have to be something different…
My Sunday morning ritual is waking up and watching your videos. It’s been quite a journey and though Undercrag City is nearing completion I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
I can’t believe the project is almost complete. It’s been wonderful riding alongside your diligent work. Can’t wait to see the finale!!
Finding out how cheap those flickering LEDs used in electronic tea lights are was a real game changer or me. Always nice to see others use them, especially to such great effect.
Uncanny timing I have just shared your videos
with a friend who was looking for a tutorial on
how to scratch build half timber buildings and
could not think of a better teacher.
I look forward to seeing your videos on my Sunday mornings
Hi Colonel, yet another highly enjoyable episode. The Overcrag looks so idyllic despite the mild and sometimes forgotten menace of the green glow! Thank you and see you in a fortnight 😊
Sprachlos einfach sprachlos mit Worten nicht zu beschreiben mehr als Wahnsinn danke dafür ❤❤❤
Brilliant as expected. I have enjoyed watching
over your shoulder for this entire journey
from the start and truly hope its not the finish
just yet.
Another beautiful start to Sunday. Those look wonderful. It's bittersweet, approaching the end of this phase, but the journey has been magnificent. See you for the final patch of ground
It’s almost done?!!! Really beautiful additions to the overcrag 😊😊😊
Colonel, you have inspired me to try my hand at this; I have taken up a mission to build a jungle village in my houseplants. I've even started pruning one plant to prepare for a treehouse in a few months. The links to your preferred supplies will prove very useful, so thanks for those addition to all of the wonder and style!
Another fantastic job well done, I think there might be one last spot in OverCrag City. I lost count, see you next time.
Quite suspenseful as to where we are headed! Brilliant work so far!
Another absolutely splendid build, Colonel! There seemed to be a hint of sadness in your voice, when you said it was the last of the house for The Overcrag. That sadness, I feel, is contagious. When the camera began panning around the build, at 0:27, it was like a travel promotion to a fantasy escape. We need, at least, a one-hour tour of the entire build, once it is completed, along with your narration of the stories of Undercrag City and The Overcrag. A book could be written, as well as a movie made, of tales and lore of Undercrag City and The Overcrag. It is a truly remarkable build! I really liked the tying together of these houses with the brave, (or quite mad), Craggers, of Undercrag City. The details you've incorporated, in The Overcrag, that link the two, have made this build extraordinarily cohesive. I'm looking forward to the next build! Since these were the last of the houses, I'm quite intrigued as to what the last build will be. Whatever it will be, I've no doubt it will be extraordinary.
G’Day, from Sunny Outback QLD, I have loved watching Undercrag City grow with little snippets of the storyline, it will be missed that’s for sure. Looking forward to the next and final instalment to the city.
But the thought of a brand new adventure after this is something worth looking forward to as well. You have such a great imagination.🤗🤗🤗
I admit I am quite taken with curiosity about what the final structure will be. I look forward to your videos very much, and it's always a pleasure when one shows up in my subs.
Congratulations on completing this incredible project! It looks fabulous and I look forward to seeing your next ideas.
Wow, it's looking amazing! How weird to be this close to the end of the project!
Wow looks incredible 😊 have a wonderful week.
An amazing and fascinating project.
Admirable how you've carried it through.
Fantastic episode again! Perfect start of the Sunday
Fabulous work 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💕
As always, superb.
Genial!!el poblado superior cada vez mejor. Espero con impaciencia el desarrollo que culmina tu gran proyecto 👏👏👏
Another fantastic build… It’s gonna be sad seeing this come to an end. I’m looking forward to seeing your next video. Do you have plans to start a completely different city or town? Where do your future projects lie?
Mind blowing as always! if i remember correctly the city is in about 1:160 scale, are You planing to add some people to the City? to add another level of "lived in" to the whole piece?
This is amazing! What was your inspiration for undercrag city? And what will you do with it when done? Absolutely amazing to watch it all come together
Excellent, as usual. It looks as if your houses have a frontage size of 40mm, is this right?
Just think how many hundreds of people could move in!!😉
Could I please ask where you bought the lights from, look amazing and I would light some for my build.
Oh goodness... as much as I'd love to live in Undercrag City, I could not live in those houses. I have such a terrible fear of heights. I would enjoy having a little shop down in the main centre with a living quarters either above or behind it. Maybe a book store... or crafting place. It's what I'd love in real life as well... not living in this old motorhome in the dead of winter. I'd be... let's see... probably a hobbit type... or perhaps a dwarf. Someone small... er... short. I'm used to short. LOL
One more part. It makes me feel a bit sad inside. You, more than I, are going to miss this wonderful project, I think. I'm sure you'll have another project of some sort... and I wonder if you already have a plan... or if you need a rest... or what? You've grown and learned a lot making this beautiful place. The stories... the houses... the other buildings... the statues... and, yes, the underground caves... they have taught you... and me... much. I appreciate the work you have done... the hours and years of work. Thank you for sharing this journey with me. ♥ I can't wait to see what the last part is. ♥
I've been watching for a couple months now I'm trying to catch up on all your old videos but those individual tiles those probably take the longest right? I know when I build projects that have them it takes the longest and it's always never ending feeling it's like the soul sucking of the project😂
Loving your work so far! Question: Is there ever any problems with painting the DAS before it dries? Like cracking or shifting?
He uses a lot of PVA to smooth out the DAS and the PVA prevents the cracking. He used a different brand clay once, but it cracked.
Overcrag seems to have come together so fast.. I'm not sure I'm ready to see it finished.
Imagine using that in a DND campaign
Have you thought about what you will do once Undercrag is done? Other than maybe take a break 😂.
Here first but sad to hear the word last in the first few seconds
Hey CoT!!! Thank you for all this inspiration! Been watching Undercrag develop for a long time!! Loooove it all!!!
