I was completely mesmerized the entirety of this video. I originally played it out of curiosity as background noise while I put clothes away. I ended up barely able to look away, there were times I had to actively close my mouth cause it was hanging open in shock. Watching this was an experience, pure magic, something really special with this one. Incredible job, just wow.
Me 49 minutes ago: "ok, I'll watch provably 5 minutes of this and then start a productive day" Me now tearing up while listening to patreon names: "This is the coolest thing I'll ever see"
I've been rewatching this video repeatedly. I listen to it when I need something calming or to help me fall asleep. Every time I watch it, I locate new things I hadn't noticed before. It gives me a magical feeling and brings me comfort. I just wanted to say my thanks and hope that I can continue watching your videos for the rest of my life. 😊🏰🔥🌟🍳🥓
I love the combination of impressively resourceful model making, with so many pop culture references and memes. It all perfectly compliments the highly detailed, scrappy castle! Your videos never cease to amaze 🤌
It’s not everyday I watch a 52 min yt video without being bored a single moment including the credit scenes. Amazing artwork, both the build and the video.
This is an absolute masterpiece. Not just the skill and end result, but the millions of gags and snappy and stop motion edits. And all of this with only raw materials and junk. It was worth the wait for sure. Hands down the best crafting video on youtube.
There are truly no words to describe how incredible this is. The pure resourcefulness and skill put into this, and you make it look just so.. easy.. your creativity and care put into this project is just wonderful. You noticed the TINIEST details that I’ve never even seen during my many many times of watching the movie. Your series of ghibli projects have been absolutely wonderful.
I made Howl's Moving Castle in 3D for my introduction course some years ago, and it's really difficult to get it right because the castle is never drawn the same way when you look at the references from the movie. They'll add and subtract features all the time and you just have to pick one to go with.
Absolutely stunning! I was so excited to watch this and so engaged by your narration and humor that I didn't notice how long the video was until 45 minutes in!
literally same! such a good, impressive build and with the added commentary made time pass really fast! and this was the first vid i've seen from him LOL this was the fastest i've subbed to someone
The sheer amount of time you must have spent researching, designing, scavenging, building, painting, filming, editing, making a damn song out of the patreons is mind-blowing. What a legend.
Damnnnn yes, even the little details like animating Sophie’s face in the beginning aaahhhh I can’t begin to imagine how much effort this took off screen too
I can’t remember the last time I had the attention span the entirety of an hour youtube video but I some how managed to do it to a guy who makes miniature dioramas out of junk…your humor and talent and attention to detail is legendary and one of the most impressive feats ive ever seen.
I'm with you; the nods to pop culture, the Ghibli scenes, the music overlay, the random word architecture, all of it. Truly worh watching for the editing alone.
This guy builds this things for us, shows us how and with what he does it just like a tutorial, does a satisfactory editing and sings us a song with their patreons names including a Rap!! It's so satisfactory watching this, I've watched it hundreds of times since it came out
What impresses me most is the fact that Studson has the mind for this. He literally finds pieces of plastic garbage outside and is like "yes, this is what I need for a miniature Howl's Moving Castle."
Much like a can of Prangles, this project just went on and on with fun at a lengthy yet appropriate amount of msg and potato starch. I mean there's just too much to say. I'm trying to imagine the depths and lengths of time and brain it all took. How many takes did it take to blow out a candle with the push of a fire hydrant? The amount of buildings. The amount of rhinestones. The amount of saxaphone melts. The amount of child height scavenger goblin shuffles. The grillaput stop motion. The ramshackling. The... remembering where all that stuff goes and the keeping one angle of your studio clean and the supportive partner. The audio edits. The visual edits. I'm so glad this is getting the recognition of work it deserves. This is the GOOD food people. Proud of you Studson, well done.
Dude, you are brilliant. The artwork, the humor, the editing, the memes, I mean guy... you got it all. This was truly a pleasure from start to finish. You inspired that childlike joy I got the first time I watched this movie. THANK YOU Also that song was a certified banger.
I can't even figure out how to DRAW this castle because of all the details and here u are casually building it out of random junk. It looks so good, awesome job!
Can we all just appreciate how him rapping the Patreon names at the end was on par with his masterful craftsmanship and patience? Absolutely incredible from start to finish. The time to make this model is impressive enough, but the editing and energy put into the creation of one of the most entertaining artistic videos of our time, is unfathomable. Making sure you didn't do any without precisely recording with the notion that you would be making this video. I find this absolutely incredible.
Right?!?!?!!! I just watched this for the first time. My 20 year old daughter sent it to me. I raised my kids on ghibli films. The entire vid was amazing in pretty much every way. Like…rapping the shoutouts….genius!!
After I read this comment, I checked how long this vid was and I am STUNNED, i can't believe how entertained I was without realizing I've been sitting here for almost 1 hour without pausing the video or looking away from the screen. haha.
The fact that I hadn't even known that almost a hour went by watching this video just goes to show how much effort you put into making these masterpieces. This is gold
This dudes a fucken genius, creates rhymes from patreon names that he couldn't possibly have known would join, and makes a howls moving castle out of trash whilst making quirky cryptic innuendo-ic jokes . Subscribed
Forgot to mention: your humour and style ties it all together perfectly honestly, is this the perfect video? I loved every second of it. The build, the editing, the outro. I didn't even skip the patreon shoutouts because they were presented so well.
Ive watched this so many times. It’s so entertaining and it’s very educational. It’s also really inspiring for me to make my own cool stuff from trash. Thanks for this masterpiece!
Not only is this a beast build, but the amount of effort that went into the editing, voice overs, sound effects, everything is over the top effort of excellence.
The amount of work and hours that must've gone in this video is INSANE! First of all studying a LOT all the details to make sure he got it as accurate as possible, cleaning all the recipients used that had food in them (and the ones who didn't have, but needed cleaning anyways), getting the right camera shots to make the video entertaining, the work put into the voice over, the editing, placing the soundtracks where they fit best... the list goes on! Amazing, let's support by leaving a like on the video guys :D
God this came out incredible Been supporting you on patreon for a while but I’ve been avoiding checking it so I could experience this video in its entirety and it was so worth it. You’re amazing at what you do 💗
Completely agree, Studson Studio you are the most talented, and incredible sculptor I have ever seen. You've got some skills. (you too Rea, your a blooming brilliant artist)
Honestly, with a lot of build videos, I have them in the background while working on crafts of my own. For this one, I had to put down my crafts and just watch the almost hour of magic you put together. It's incredible how realistic, how accurate, how beautiful, and how detailed it was. Worth the wait!!!
So, Studson finished this masterpiece and guess what? He still needed to edit the video! The planning, execution and editing of this video was a massive undertaking. It's perfection.
I can't imagine having an eye like this. The ability to see the potential in everything, even what most would consider trash. It's a true gift. Phenomenal work.
The green thing you used on top of the nose is a rindstone tray! You can just throw crystals in there, wiggle the tray a little and the lines make it so all the crystals go facet side up. Very handy. Perfect nose roof.
😬 Hahahah, so I destroyed the one thing that could have helped me add all the rhinestone rivets. Instead, I chased them as they rolled around on a plate
@@StudsonStudio I think they sell them in kits at walmart and a lot of craft stores! they usually come with a ton of rhinestones, the brand I've seen the most is diamond dotz. The applicator pens in the kits are also great for scrap bits 👌
"And as Sophie's vision cleared, she found she could make out the castle's four looming towers, which seemed bespelled to hold together around an instant bulgogi udon bowl." For a confusing moment I thought you were really quoting the book until I saw *"That's not what the book says!" Diana Wynne Jones screamed from the grave.* 😂
I've shared this with my kids (who introduced me to Ghibli movies) and with my grandson. Between us I can't imagine how many times we've watched it (and all your other videos) I have a "makers" playlist for comfort, sleep and crafting time. Half of it is your videos. Absolutely amazing creativity and craftsmanship. Given all the hours of enjoyment its given me, I figured it was time to feed the algorithm Gods by commenting.
You could easily show this to someone and they’d think either it’s a bunch of 3D printed models put together or made from clay. This is the peak definition of improvisation.
Incredible like, incredible. The bits of humor, edits, jokes, and wittiness alongside the process really grabs your attention and doesn't want you to stop.
Yeah that blew my mind! Like, I'm sorry you're telling me this guy builds shit, makes fantastic videos, is an absolute memelord, AND can put together a cute little song made of patron names? 🤯
So true, he could have just shared still shots of this build and we would still be amazed, but nope, he made smart and witty and cute edits, thrower in a few adorable moments with his puppy, ans just when we thought the already-award worthy video is ending, he started to sing that patreon song! Incredible talents and attitude here. I am in love.
Showed up on my RUclips algorithm today 5/29/2024. In the beginning I was amused at the attempt to cut up junk to make Howl’s Castle. By the end, I was mesmerized and thoroughly impressed. Masterful execution 🙏🏻
It wasn't the detail, or the wild imagination, or even the crazy skill that made me subscribe. It was the sexy deep primer voice.. and then the sexy deep metal paint voice...
I'm as impressed with the build as much i am with using the pareons as lyrics. I mean, you had to read each and every of them, pair them in rhymes and respect the music flow. If that's not dedication to them, I don't know what is. You hot a subscriber, man.
@@lynxone9434 this man literally does not even know what 'half-assed' means. I know that for a fact and I've never in my life seen this man before today. Obviously he's going to include a rap-verse in his song made only from Patreons, AND add a cool-knight-backingvocal to the one king thats in the song  Yeah gotta say @Studson Studio, creativity knows no bounds and I'm super impressed by your work!!
"oh nice a video to have on in the backgrund while i do something else!" proceeds to barely blink for fear of missing out on any part of this masterpiece
@@emmasthus9746 that’s awesome. That hat and sword you get for graduation from school is epic looking. Wish denmark had that or maybe they do. I don’t know. I was born in USA too an Danish and French and British and polish family.but I hope norway is still going strong with this COVID-19 thing
The best thing for me is that you didn't skip a detail. You could have easily done that because there is so much to see. That shows true dedication! One of the best RUclipsrs I love watching 😃♥️
I painted Howl's castle on my bag to see how it will look and was SO HARD and taked me SO LONG to finish because it's so detailed and there's the tiny buildins... So, see someone taking care and doing such a great job on doing this MASTERPIECE makes me shocked and really happy. Congrats, man!! ☺️☺️💕
I absolutely adore the scratchbashing/trashbuilding community here. Every video I watch, there's another scratchbasher in the comments supporting the video and it makes me smile to hear familiar usernames in Patron name reads at the ends of videos. Every other video, the RUclipsr mentions a technique they specifically learned from another scratchbasher. Pretty fitting that a community composed of people who make art into recycling seems to be one of the friendliest and welcoming on YT
this made me think of a dnd session where my sister's character was a wizard's apprentice and we went to the wizard's tower one day and everything inside had pretty much collapsed and stopped working and thats where her character's first "power surge" (this was homebrew, power surges were related to our goals or morals) came from and it was sad and also awesome because the power surge made everything in the tower start working again
this is EVERYTHING I've ever wanted in a howls moving castle build. the balance between the accuracy of shape and general feel, while keeping in the spirit of using cobbled together junk, just *chefs kiss* WELL DONE!! have a like, comment, and subscribe to please the algorithm, you deserve it.
I've watched this movie about a thousand times and I can tell you this is very VERY accurate to the castle. There's too much details for me to handle! Amazing!
Why did I find this video so utterly captivating, when I have precisely zero interest in miniature models or model-building? Because, the skill of this builder and the style and content of the video production were off the charts amazing and entertaining. That's why.
I don’t understand how tf I missed it, my mind immediately went to “oh yeah probably because he’s Welsh” and I EVEN KNEW CHRISTIAN BALE DID HIS VOICE, how am I this dumb
I'm glad the reveal at the end was so long because I was thoroughly distracted by you singing your patrons' names. Jeez, your creativity shined through in *every* part of this video, huh? This is the only video of yours I've seen, but considering I told myself I would only watch part of it and was surprised to find myself at the end of this hour long video, you've gained a new subscriber. Keep up the amazing work!
This might honestly be my new favorite video on RUclips ever. You're funny, entertaining, creative, but not obnoxious. Then there's the artwork.. the talent, eye for detail, technique and let's not forget the mental patience to get through a complicated, colossal build like this can't be praised enough. If you show anyone this build, not a single soul would think this is made from trash.. just stunning. It looks like Ghibli themselves made and sold this! I could honestly go on and on, I only realised this was nearly an hour long after it ended. The video is such a smooth ride, so well structured and soothing to watch start to finish. Thank you.
That is INSANE! Back in spring, I waited for this video, but when it didn’t come out, I decided to build my own. Unfortunately, there was next to NO models made, and for some reason there were very few pictures of the lest side of it. Despite these, I went to the dollar store, got some cheap foamcore, exacto knifes, and got to work. I used garbage for most of the structure, layers and layers of very thin, flimsy soft foam for the layers of metal, and drybrushed and painted it many times. Unfortunately, unlike you I was an idiot and started building the details and face without structure, and due to its organic shape, it was occasionally frustrating to make. But, I used HOT GLUE for EVERYTHING, which turned out troublesome, because of the little inside structure, many things fell of or broke. I had to re-glue the tall tower-thingy seven times. Finally, I built the legs, which took NINE TRIES to make strong enough to hold up the entire castle. Then, after putting on the chimneys with literally a POUND of hot glue, it was finished. It was truly glorious. Unfortunately, due to some bad decisions in the inner structure, it was fragile. Fragile enough for the people staying in my house while I was on vacation to easily break it. Luckily I have pictures of it in its glory, but I should fix it eventually, or better yet, just build a second one using your techniques. EDIT: I made the flying castle from the end, but I didn’t film making it, should I make a video showing it off so others can use it as an example to make their own?
WOW, what a journey! I would love to see those pictures. There's a decent about of hot glue in mine too, so I hope the weather cooperates and doesn't melt it away.
Theres a rare papercraft of HMC from the studio Ghibli museum. You can find a copy of you internet hard enough. Its got all the bits but the instructions are in japanese
Never and never watch this kind of DIY that give me so much fun! Almost one hour watching this, and I dont feel bored at all because of your sense of humor and amazing art. That was an incredible masterpiece!
I genuinely appreciate the shout-out, but I gotta say: This is the first time I have ever been watching a hobby video and become so thoroughly *inspired.* This entire project and video reach a whole new level, a level that everyone else in this space will surely be dreaming of and striving towards for some time. 😊🏰🔥🌟🍳🥓

omg so true, i came into this ready to skip around but ended up watching it all, such a good dude
I am 73 and I find your videos fascinating and so very junk creative. May you end up in a very creative future employment.
This is an absolute masterpiece.
Not just the skill and end result, but the millions of gags and snappy and stop motion edits.
And all of this with only raw materials and junk.
It was worth the wait for sure. Hands down the best crafting video on youtube.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
There are truly no words to describe how incredible this is. The pure resourcefulness and skill put into this, and you make it look just so.. easy.. your creativity and care put into this project is just wonderful. You noticed the TINIEST details that I’ve never even seen during my many many times of watching the movie. Your series of ghibli projects have been absolutely wonderful.
yes exactly what you said. 🤩
I made Howl's Moving Castle in 3D for my introduction course some years ago, and it's really difficult to get it right because the castle is never drawn the same way when you look at the references from the movie. They'll add and subtract features all the time and you just have to pick one to go with.
See at D.A.T boi that is my boi committed and determined .
It's like when they tried to make Springfield from the Simpsons and then realised it basically changes every episode
This made me actually cry, crazy to see such beautiful craftsmanship and creativity. Cannot even believe you’re human.
I wanted to comment the same thing. Every second of it was entertaining

Unlike anything I've ever seen before. Captivating. I've literally forgotten everything about my day.
Respect to Studson. He had to make Howl's moving castle and edit the video. We should all take a moment to appreciate Studson's work.
While the build is *extraordinary* , the editing is also a work of art. I can’t even imagine how much time this took.
I'm with you; the nods to pop culture, the Ghibli scenes, the music overlay, the random word architecture, all of it. Truly worh watching for the editing alone.
I really enjoyed it as well!
I couldn't agree more. It's so satisfying and fun to watch. *whispers noodles*
This guy builds this things for us, shows us how and with what he does it just like a tutorial, does a satisfactory editing and sings us a song with their patreons names including a Rap!!
It's so satisfactory watching this, I've watched it hundreds of times since it came out
ruclips.net/video/BAn4k2eohNI/видео.html
The song he uses for the Patreon song is the theme from Howls Moving Castle.
What impresses me most is the fact that Studson has the mind for this. He literally finds pieces of plastic garbage outside and is like "yes, this is what I need for a miniature Howl's Moving Castle."
Its unbelievably impressive
I was like #600 for ur comment lol u did great
Much like a can of Prangles, this project just went on and on with fun at a lengthy yet appropriate amount of msg and potato starch.
This is absolutely incredible. Dont even have words. And im only 17min in..

Dude, you are brilliant. The artwork, the humor, the editing, the memes, I mean guy... you got it all. This was truly a pleasure from start to finish. You inspired that childlike joy I got the first time I watched this movie.
THANK YOU
Also that song was a certified banger.
There wasn’t enough rivets 😭
These kind of videos are incredible.
Dude said it

I can't even figure out how to DRAW this castle because of all the details and here u are casually building it out of random junk. It looks so good, awesome job!
if only it was random junk lol
not casually, you have to treat every drawing you do as a proper project. thats where the quality comes from. this was a big project for him.
I find this absolutely incredible.
the rapping was so epic I can't imagine how many tries it took
Yes! I am just freaking out... Because the creativity is out of the world
Yes 👍
yea why does the patreon song absolutely slap tho?????
Right?!?!?!!! I just watched this for the first time. My 20 year old daughter sent it to me. I raised my kids on ghibli films. The entire vid was amazing in pretty much every way. Like…rapping the shoutouts….genius!!
I don’t think I’ve ever watched something this long without losing interest. It’s amazing! I love how it looks 😭
Yeah man I watched like a hour without moving
I’ve watched this at least 5 times
After I read this comment, I checked how long this vid was and I am STUNNED, i can't believe how entertained I was without realizing I've been sitting here for almost 1 hour without pausing the video or looking away from the screen. haha.

Agreed
Why can't we hit the like button more than once?
Being absolutely hilarious AND geniously crafty is an illegal combo!
The fact that I hadn't even known that almost a hour went by watching this video just goes to show how much effort you put into making these masterpieces.
This is gold
This was 50mins? Whatttt.. I didn't realise either.. damn..
Bruh now u say this i just realized ive been sitting here watching this video one hour straight. Or 50mins

Right, I was so enraptured... I almost drooled
This dudes a fucken genius, creates rhymes from patreon names that he couldn't possibly have known would join, and makes a howls moving castle out of trash whilst making quirky cryptic innuendo-ic jokes . Subscribed

when the imposter is sus
I stayed just to listen to the little shoutout song! It must have taken a while
Ive watched this so many times. It’s so entertaining and it’s very educational. It’s also really inspiring for me to make my own cool stuff from trash. Thanks for this masterpiece!
Me too
Not only is this a beast build, but the amount of effort that went into the editing, voice overs, sound effects, everything is over the top effort of excellence.
the credits... hilarious1
right! the editing made it even more fun to watch as normally i wouldn’t be able to sit down and watch a near 1 hour youtube video straight

This is honestly so good I come back and rewatch every couple months.

God this came out incredible
Been supporting you on patreon for a while but I’ve been avoiding checking it so I could experience this video in its entirety and it was so worth it. You’re amazing at what you do 💗
Ahhhhh thank youuu!!

Can we just commend Studson for actually organizing his patrons so that his song rhymes during the credit roll :)))
Honestly 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Made me cry 🙏♥️
It made for such a lovely outro song. 😍😍😍
It's so catchy !
This is seriously the most impressive junk craft there's ever been. I've watched this at least 5 times and I see more in my future.
It's perfection.
and don't forget the patron's song
As an artist, this broke my brain. The level of complexity and the effort you went to to sculpt the plastic to fit the spaces.... no words! 👏👏👏👏
that was a lot of words, actually
I can't imagine having an eye like this. The ability to see the potential in everything, even what most would consider trash. It's a true gift. Phenomenal work.
The green thing you used on top of the nose is a rindstone tray! You can just throw crystals in there, wiggle the tray a little and the lines make it so all the crystals go facet side up. Very handy. Perfect nose roof.
😬 Hahahah, so I destroyed the one thing that could have helped me add all the rhinestone rivets. Instead, I chased them as they rolled around on a plate
@@StudsonStudio irony is a cruel mistress. You did great though! All the struggle definitely looks worth it.
@@StudsonStudio the case of your crystal katana works as a tray, too. Give it a try!
@@StudsonStudio I think they sell them in kits at walmart and a lot of craft stores! they usually come with a ton of rhinestones, the brand I've seen the most is diamond dotz. The applicator pens in the kits are also great for scrap bits 👌

"And as Sophie's vision cleared, she found she could make out the castle's four looming towers, which seemed bespelled to hold together around an instant bulgogi udon bowl."
For a confusing moment I thought you were really quoting the book until I saw *"That's not what the book says!" Diana Wynne Jones screamed from the grave.* 😂
Same, I thought the book was describing the shape XD
Not only did he make an absolute masterpiece of a craft, but he also made his Patrons' names into a fire beat. One of the best things I've ever seen.
In fact, it took me a second to notice it was him saying the Patreon's names and not an actual cool song
As Patreon subscriptions go... this yter's is probably the biggest bang for your dollar. Hahaha
I've shared this with my kids (who introduced me to Ghibli movies) and with my grandson. Between us I can't imagine how many times we've watched it (and all your other videos)
I have a "makers" playlist for comfort, sleep and crafting time.

This did not feel like a 52 minute video. I was entirely enthralled by it the whole time. Amazing build, and fantastic editing/banter throughout.
I'm on my third rewatch.

It was the sexy deep primer voice.. and then the sexy deep metal paint voice...
you know a RUclipsr is good at what they do when they make a 52-minute-long video feel like 10 minutes
I'm as impressed with the build as much i am with using the pareons as lyrics. I mean, you had to read each and every of them, pair them in rhymes and respect the music flow. If that's not dedication to them, I don't know what is. You hot a subscriber, man.
And the added voice at "His Majesty King Antonius the Second"
@@lynxone9434 yes, an astonishing, pleasant and hilarious amount of effort.

"wizard aesthetic is to build things that look like they'll fall apart as soon as they're released from your spells" so true!!!
this made me think of a dnd session where my sister's character was a wizard's apprentice and we went to the wizard's tower one day and everything inside had pretty much collapsed and stopped working and thats where her character's first "power surge" (this was homebrew, power surges were related to our goals or morals) came from and it was sad and also awesome because the power surge made everything in the tower start working again
this is EVERYTHING I've ever wanted in a howls moving castle build. the balance between the accuracy of shape and general feel, while keeping in the spirit of using cobbled together junk, just *chefs kiss* WELL DONE!!

Why did I find this video so utterly captivating, when I have precisely zero interest in miniature models or model-building? Because, the skill of this builder and the style and content of the video production were off the charts amazing and entertaining. That's why.

I’ve watched this at least a dozen n counting times since this was posted 😅
gosh, this video is just so comforting. i keep coming back to it, and watch it at least 50 times a month
