One riot, One Ranger. yeah, it's that simple. To be a Ranger it now takes a LOT of education and Training Combined with a personality that fits the afore named items. Also, when you call in the Texas Rangers,,you immediately KNOW,,you have the best. God bless these men and women who do a job no one else can or wants to do.

One of the main reasons for Bonnie and Clyde's popularity during their time was, because they were poor. During the depression police and sheriff's deputies were used to evict people from their homes when they couldn't afford to pay their taxes, rent, or mortgage, so many people saw them not as law enforcers but as strong arm men for the rich and privileged. SO when Bonnie and Clyde began robbing banks they saw them as ( STICKING It To The MAn.) Plus as much as possible they did tend to leave the common people alone. When they did interact with people they were polite and generous with their stolen money . I've heard stories from older people here in Arkansas who have claimed to have met them themselves when they were young and people who say they're parents let them stay on their land sometimes and that even when Clyde's gang was present they where respectful of people and their property but those are just stories, some might be true but whose to know today.
Whatever their reasons were for a life of crime and I'm shure they believed they were just in their reasons it killed them early.

Claude Harrington An earlier version is Jesse James and his being labeled as the last Confederate warrior by southern sympathizers. In the end, these are rationalizations. Both B&C and JJ were highly publicized robbers and killers, and were ultimately hunted down and exterminated. Q.E.D.

    • @claudeharrington6234

      To ricco567
Jesse James and his brother where not labeled the last ,Confederate Resistors by Confederate sympathizers they got that label by northern newspapers who found out that they served in
BLOODY BILL ANDERSON'S BRIGADE during the civil war, as a means to further outrage against them and anyone else who might support their efforts in trying to stop the railroad from taking people's land by force or coercion.
None of the James or Younger gang wanted to be outlaws, but when they had no other options they fell back on the guerrilla tactics that they used during the war and the Border Campaigns.
Again they were polite to the people, mostly because they new that they would cover for them as most poor people in the region they operated in saw them as fighting corruption.

There's strong evidence I've watched that another person shot the two young motorcycle cops. He was one of the guy's Clyde busted out of prison. When Clyde said "let's take these guy's" he meant to capture them.
But the accomplice was unaware that Clyde had been doing this before and thought Clyde wanted to kill them. And this guy did that.
He later ratted out Bonnie and Clyde for leniency. The authorities even knew he was the real killer but covered it up and blamed Bonnie. There was one garrulous farmer that claimed he saw her do it from a distance. But it doesn't fit their M. O.

He was a killer. But they also loved publicity and tweaking the authorities. This was a gag they pulled before and probably planned again.
The guy that may have really killed them was the one who ratted them out for clemency. The Rangers must have known but made the deal and kept it quiet as they were desperate to get the pair.

One big reason why Bonnie and Clyde were deified was because of that slimeball Warren Beatty in 1967. Totally slandered Frank Hamer, and Hamer's family sued. Beatty and the suits settled. One of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Uhhh really? They were a bunch of criminals and murderers who just happened to get lucky and do a goofy photo shoot, and then left the film behind. They didn't do shit for the working class, the media just blew them up and a bunch of poor ignorant people going through tough times looking for someone to champion propped them up into something they weren't. In reality they were piece of shit criminals, who killed men that were just doing their jobs. Is your research an incredibly inaccurate Warren Beatty movie?
