I messed up my knees in a martial arts workout. Watched Ben Patrick's videos, bought his book, used his techniques (ATG lunge, Nordics, slant board, sled work mainly) and now my knees do not hurt. They haven't felt this good in years actually. Really enjoy this channel and Knees over Toes.
Dane, you are a world class coach. Your instruction and clarity is great, but you're also not overly didactic and open to learning from other professionals. I've been training since I was 15 and I'm 37 now. It took a recent Achilles injury (full rupture, with surgery) for me to realize I need to evolve my training style to stay healthy and athletic into older age. Getting after it has never been the issue for me - I just go to the gym and give it 100% every time. But didn't pay much attention to periodization, technique, or recovery. Now I'm paying a lot more attention to those things and concentrating all my workouts towards reducing pain in my body and building resilience. Going to try out the peak strength app!
