Ben, you are an absolute boon to us. I really want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. A month ago I was in debilitating pian with my shoulders, lower back and legs. The more Yt videos I watched the more I realised just how much I was lacking, from having piriformis syndrome to gluteal amnesia to very tight Lats and had realised that if I start doing all their exercises it would take me an entire day to just do rehab exercises so I ditched them all and started on your program. Now I am pain free, have great mobility , I feel a little athletic too ngl 😅 and eternally grateful to you. May you be bombarded with lots and lots of success in your life.
I’m 53. I have a number of buddies in my age group suffering from shoulder problems. I have avoided shoulder problems after I learned exercising the rotator cuff back in my 30s when I did exercises as Ben demonstrates to reverse out the shoulder tendinitis I had at the time. Im happy to say that my shoulders are healthy and strong, thanks to these exercises. I think people often only use weights to get muscular and avoid lifting light weights and associated lightweight exercises, such as working rotator cuffs because it doesn’t make you muscular. Having a nice physique drew me into bodybuilding, but feeling fit and physically active like a 20 something is what keeps me going; including bench, pressing heavyweight, but also working the smaller muscles and dynamic ways with lighter weights to maintain full mobility and range of motion as I “age” 💪🏼

Thanks for listening about the request to provide more information on shoulders. I played baseball for years. A few years after I stopped playing competitively I tried to swing a bat, I warmed up ahead of time and have extremely good swing form. When I swung it felt as if both of my shoulders and my left elbow all popped out of socket and back in. Any idea what that might be and how it can be fixed or if it's probably a situation where there's only a surgical solution? I have high range of motion in both shoulders. Almost too much honestly. As for my elbow, I'm a mechanic, sometimes when I have to reach under something and downward pressure is applied to my elbow while the arm is fully extended, I will get an extreme 10/10 sharp pain in my elbow and will have to stop what I'm doing. I'm 38, today was the first day of my 23e week of lifting (and I started going hard from the start) One if the things I did was use resistance bands to do shoulder rotation excersizes both inward/outwardb and up/down. Hey man! A buddy of mine told me about you and all the great things that you’ve helped him achieve with your methods of recovery, I was wondering if these methods could help me as well. For the past year and a half I’ve hard a torn shoulder cartilage and since then my shoulder has popped out at least 10 times. It happens at times when my shoulder moves in a weird motion, and it has prevented me from doing the things that I love like boxing. I’m considering doing surgery since physiotherapy hasn’t helped. Is there anything that you believe can resolve this issue? I’m 19 years old and I’d hate for my shoulder to be permanently affected by this surgery.

Hopefully you or someone can answer this. Are we supposed to do all 3 on the same day? And what, 3 times a week? Is it fine if I do these first and then upper body (push-pull exercises) or would my shoulder be already too fatigued? Thank you in advance Ben🙏🏽
Yep, this can all be on the same day and 3x a week works great! That can be a great warm-up to your upper body sessions!
Thanks for reaching out and would love to help out. This shoulder routine has helped many with similar issues and believe there is always hope here!
@@TheKneesovertoesguyIs there any other exercises that you’d recommend or would these be sufficient?
Sorry friend for this question, what workout could do an old woman (83) that suffers sciatic. Yor exercises are incredible precise perhaps you known some exercises or could refer me to other video or chanel that helps this old woman. Gracias.
Here is my approach to the back and very safe to scale: www.atgonlinecoaching.com/articles/5-basics-to-help-unscramble-the-mystery-of-the-lower-back
Even just backwards walking works well!
cant wait to try this
🙏🫡
How many times a week do you do these? I love your stuff but I also want to do my normal kettlebell and powerlifting style of workout.
Just pick the exercises that fit with your schedule and incorporate them. These exercises I do on days that involve pushing. Or it's like anything else, you can exercise a muscle group as soon as it recovers (48-72 hours on average for strength style training).
Up to 3x a week can work great!
Thanks man
You're welcome!

For someone who’s been boxing 🥊 for over 9 years and has started to feel the consequences of not taking care of my shoulders in the process … would you recommend this routine as well?
Thank you
It could be a great start!
Thank you!!!🎉
You're welcome!!
I have your book for the knee, is there anything in works for shoulder ? Or particular shoulder programmes on your membership ? Looking for my father who has had shoulder issues for years
Yep! Have Shoulder Protocols already on our app which have helped hundreds with their shoulder issues🫡
Thank you
You're welcome!
Is there a at-home substitute for the neck pull - tying two bands at neck height and pulling it the same way?
Absolutely! I think that’s great 👍
What do you think of Indian clubs/mace for shoulder health? If you get thru the skill floor, universes of strengthening / range of motion movements open up
I believe there isn’t a bad form of exercise. If you like this and it works well, awesome!
Thanks for sharing. considering using your app to send videos. Can you offer advice for chronic (mild) plantar fasciitis / achilles tendinitis relief through your app?
Appreciate the support! Have a foot and ankle protocol, which could help you with the heel and Achilles issues. Would check out this article: www.atgonlinecoaching.com/articles/article-atg-ankle-ability-exercise-routine
@@TheKneesovertoesguy that's a great article, thank you!
Can we get a trap/neck guide. Always thought my shoulders were the problem but it’s my traps and neck.
Trap-3 Raise and Neck Bridge will be great exercises🫡
@@TheKneesovertoesguy thanks a lot bro. Appreciate it. What about the front of the neck that’s tight? Every time my PT fixes my tight traps it just moves to the front of my neck
Do you find these are helpful in rehabbing labrum tears and winged scapula? What do the regressions look like if these are too painful?
Can’t guarantee results, but has helped members with this. Using less weight on each of the movements will be a safe and simple way to regress!
If you can protract you shoudlers and THEN do the movements, youll take the movement up a notch

Would this work on shoulder bursitis and impingement?
It works on impingement. The rotators kind of center your humerus-head in the shoulder joint and thus make more space for your supraspinatus-tendon.
Can’t guarantee results, but has helped hundreds with similar shoulder issues!
Do you have any "reverse out elbow pain" routine? I couldn't find anything on the channel

Hey Ben! Does any of the exercises on the ATG System stretch the Subscapularis? It is tight for me, and I´d like to increase the volume a little bit to improve Ext. Rotation range
Training the external rotation along with movements like dumbbell bench press and push-ups can help open up some range!
Should I train my rotator cuff before or after my workout?
Can be a great way to warm-up!
You guys should sell a mirror hat for backwards sled dragging. HAZARD! LOL!
Coming soon LOL!
How do u incorporate these into a bodybuilding routine?
Just do these on shoulder day once a week or do u recommend doing more often?
1-3x a week works great! Could also use as a warm-up!

At 4:44, I've seen another grip with your pinky facing the top of the rope instead of the index finger, should I be using this grip instead? I've heard that you can be injured from using the wrong form with lots of weight, I just want to be careful.
I would use the grip that feels most comfortable for you🫡
