      @@epmanualphysicaltherapy It seems like your exercises are the exact opposite of what others are suggesting. The whole cat thing -- moving your shoulders FORWARD -- they all say this is what causes impingement issues, because of the way people sit at the computer all day long, their shoulders 'rounded' forward towards the keyboard, the head and neck leaning forward as well. Are they all wrong...or what am I missing?

    Update on my 4th shoulder impingement, the first time it took 3 years to heal because I had no idea what to do, the second time it was 2 years for the same reason, 3rd time it was a year, I was starting to get some knowledge, this time I had impingement on both shoulders and I was looking for lots of ideas, this doctor has some very effective exercises and with his help and some others, I was able to be completely pain free in 2 months, needless to say, I'm thrilled, thank you doctor, you know your stuff !!

      My advice is to do what this guy says, the exercises are really effective if you do them a lot !! The first one is my favorite, I do both sides at the same time, I was doing this every hour and now I only have to do it once a day. You can Google shoulder impingement and see a lot of different videos but I think that this guy is probably the best that I saw.

    • @RebeccaMurrayUK
      @RebeccaMurrayUK 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@Nomihchello I am recovering 6 months in. This video helped me a lot. I’d say start a shoulder diary and take it day by day. If you’re in a lot of pain, slow and controlled moving is good. Moving is recommended even when there’s pain. It’s a trial and error process to each person. Start with this dude and when pain gets 3/10 start adding resistance bands and lightest cables. Regular massages and cupping helped mine. The best thing to do is train and strengthen the muscles around the injured rotator cuff muscle. Treat your injury like a donut.

    Hi I'm from Pakistan and I started feeling a pain in top back of my shoulder. I guess it was because of wide grip bench press and over head military press, with my hand going back and neck moving forward. Thanks for this video. I always did a dead hanging exercise 2-3 days a week and then I stopped a couple of months back. It used to relax all my upper body joints. Thanks. God bless.

    Holy wow. These worked like a charm. I had an AC separation like 20 year ago, mostly fully healed. Started weight lifting in earnest 2 months ago and should have taken it easier. Dumbell military presses messed up the bad shoulder. Thankfully it seems to have just been impingement, but doing these 3 exercise has me feeling great in just 2 days. This was after 2 weeks off, wearing a shoulder brace, trouble sleeping etc etc. Many thanks Doc!

It's amazing how targeted exercises can make such a difference, especially after dealing with the aftermath of an AC separation and the recent shoulder impingement.
      Taking it easier during weightlifting is always a wise decision, and we're glad these exercises have provided you with relief and a positive outcome. It's great to see that you're back on track and feeling better after just a short period of time.

We know how painful it can be to deal with and we hope you can feel some relief soon. Just in case you are interested we have a playlist for shoulder impingements that you might also find helpful. You can access it here:
      “Shoulder Impingement Pain Help”
      ruclips.net/p/PLJVIPiFvv1mYGRrMuW9YtI9XIkxvxAgkb
      Start with one or two exercises, beginning with the smallest range of motion and the lowest intensity. As you feel stronger, you can gradually increase both the range of motion and intensity. It’s best to do these exercises every day throughout the day. Aim to tire out the muscle without losing form or control. Consistency is key. Always avoid working through pain; soreness and mild discomfort are normal, but pain is not.
