I really enjoy watching your comparison videos, and would be really keen seeing such a video for the Rivera Rock Crusher. I own that unit myself and am quite happy with it, but would be keen to understand from someone with more technical understanding on the testing if there was potential of significantly improving my guitar sound by switching to one of the other units you tested. I enjoyed the tone of the Suhr IR and the Red Seven.

Thanks for your comment. I wasn't aware that the RockCrusher is a reactive load but it looks like it is. However, the focus of the RochCrusher seems to be on attenuation. You can check if there is some room for improvements by recording a track in bypass mode (the line out should still work) and another track in the mode you normally use or in silent mode. By comparing both tracks you can find out wheather there's some room for improvements. Please don't forget to connect a speaker when using in bypass mode!

Greetings! Do you know that all load boxes have a sweet spot on line out dial? (It's affects the sound as master volume on amp)

Well, I level the output signal in the usual way using the VU meter on my audio interface. For the AmpCentral the input level was leveled as described in the manual. Please keep in mind that the loadboxes are used in silent mode, so the level of attenuation (if available) does not matter.

@@RockGuitarVibes I understand. The reason i telling is that i have almost all of that load boxes. I don't have only ox box and Waza. I found that all load boxes have a sweet spot on a dial and usually it's about 11 o'clock. I found if you push it above 11 it's start to color the sound by internal transformer. And it's start to pushing a lot of mids that are masking other frequencies. To avoid that i simply put the dial on 11 and then adjusting the gain in my RME to -6 on input. BTW my favorite load box is Red SEVEN. It has less low end but it's perfectly sits in the mix.

@@RockGuitarVibes Ohh and one more thing. Captor and ox box are digital. If you open manual there is a schematics where all signals pass through DSP. Another words there is no "'true'' analog path in that load boxes.

Thanks for the hint - sounds weird but I can confirm, on the RedSeven there is a low-shelf starting at around 400Hz of up to +5db (line out level 5 compared with level 11) and a little more top end. I've also tested the OX, the Captor X and the Suhr - on these devices there's almost no difference. The Suhr has to be carefully leveled to avoid any clipping, level 4 was the maximum possible setting for high gain - I've compared with the line out level at 1.

That's why I'm also testing the latency - no latency means analog 😎
