Amazing comparison series! Thank you for the effort in putting this together! I was going back and forth between the video about the Suhr and this one here. Somehow the sound examples in this video are louder than the ones in the Suhr video. Is that due to video editing or is it really a difference between the loadboxes?
I think it's caused by video editing cause all track levels in the DAW have been normalized. Anyway, in the final video I'll directly compare all tracks - so stay tuned...
Good point - I simply haven't seen this option because I usually use the device in stereo mode and this bypass button isn't visible then. However, I've just verified that the sound is identical - and it is 😅
It looks like it is a resistive load with an EQ - resistive load boxes don't sound and feel as good as reactive load boxes. It's the simple approach...
Loving your series here. Thank you. Can't wait for the Freyette which I already own. Hope it's the winner! :)
Thanks mate 🙏😎🎸

@@RockGuitarVibes Thanks for the reply! Can't wait for the final video!
Great series, many thanks. Do you think the standard Captor will sound similar?
Thanks a lot - even if I haven't actually tried, I would expect that the line out sounds as good as the Captor X.
why didnt you use the bypass mode to get the dry signal ?

@@RockGuitarVibes I wonder if not using the bypass mode affected the latency test though.
@@v3n0mm3n0 I've checked this - the latency also remains the same.
hey i was jw why the @radialengineering Radial Engineering Prodigy isnt relevant?

simple approach should always be relevant - especially when they use jensen transformers - PS thanks for the reply!
