Hi everyone! Let me know how you feel about Twinmotion so far! Also, if you haven't downloaded it yet, make sure to check it out at www.thesketchupessentials.com/twinmotionbeginners !
I’ve been using it and I find it to be a very fast renderer. I also like the look of the renders and the real-time ability. Just wowed a client with it in showing them their material choices. It’s not perfect but pretty good! Thanks for all your tutorials on it!
I've been watching tutorials my whole life, this is without no doubt THE BEST tutorial video I've ever seen! got to the point quickly and with an easy explanation!
Thanks man, by watching I learned TwinMotion in less than 2 hours with an existing sketch up project. An awesome easy software with an awesome and easy tutorial!
Great training video Justin and very much appreciated here in the UK. Very direct and to the point with consistently clear explanations of process. Thank you!
Another great video Justin! I know you are working your ass off on these things and I and a lot of others appreciate it! I have signed up to support you on Patreon. Thanks!
Hi Justin, I'm learning so much from you. Thank you very much. I am wondering if I can hook up my 3D connection SpaceMouse to Twinmotion. There doesn't seem to be a driver for it. Could you help me on my way?
Thanks so much for your tutorial, they are awesome and so useful. I have a quick question though! I am a landscape architect and I have a project with more than 150 trees, I imported them from CAD to SU and then to TM... however my first mistake was that they were 3D trees in SU and when I replaced the component in TM it replaced all the instance of the component with the tree (i.e then branches, the leaves...), then the model became impossible to work on. In your workflow do you have a trick to slim down the process... do you just import blck from cad (a line perhaps) to represent the tree trunk and then replace the block on TM or ???? I really would love your feedback and direction! Thanks a ton!
I’m getting familiar with Twinmotion, but finding that the glass windows always leave something to be desired. The reflections are too hazy or not there at all. This tutorials image has the same ‘glass looks frosted’ look to it too. I know you can help the situation with the reflection volumes - but I’m having trouble with that. Could you please give a tutorial on how to make windows look better. At the moment I’m either using photoshop in post (or Enscape instead of TM)
I'm noticing weird geometry and material behavior when I modify the factory defaults in the SU exporter. I'd recommend using the factory defaults unless you have a specific need to change something.
I like the Lumion like approach to the render process. But I am faced with constant updates and changes done by clients to my models in the design process and that always creates a lot of work when I have to update all my new or changed surfaces in the render software to create a new render. I have been using Vray up till now and I like that my material options remain constant as a sketchup material and I can make my changes to my model without a lot of material updating for my final rendering... must I redo all my material selections every time I update my sketchup model? Otherwise, the tool seems very intuitive and practical for a quick render. Will be watching your tutorial videos on the matter. Thanks!
I don't quite understand why you would want to explode your groups and components... I see no benefit. I prefer to have all my groups and components organized in the scenegraph and if I'm importing a model that I want to be just one solid object, I import with the "collapse all" option.
sometimes you have materials that are in same group that in sketchup you don't really need to worry about actual materials ie, a efis frieze board and a wood frieze board. when i do SU renderings/elevations they look the same, so you might group it as same "trim" or etc....but in twinmotion, since ray tracing and lighting effects are part of the realism, efis doesn't have the reflective characteristics of a painted frieze. i didn't say do it always, i'm saying that there are times when you may shortcut in sketchup, just for the simplicity of it, but if you're going to maybe charge for a really good rendering and you need more detail.....
I’m an interior designer.... I can’t figure out how to navigate inside a model that I created... I only do interior renderings... Thanks.... I downloaded it last week...
Navigating in Twinmotion is like navigating in a first-person PC video game. WASD or arrow keys to move around, Q and E to move up and down, and M toggles between walking and flying. Note that you should hold the right mouse button in the 3D rendering window to move your camera around.
When you first open Twinmotion, does it pop up a welcome screen? That screen should include a keyboard and mouse diagram showing you what everything does :) If not, I think up in the help menu you can click "Welcome" to see that screen
Hi! Great tutorials you have here. I’m trying to import a 3D model I created on sketchup but once I try to import it , if shows absolutely nothing. Do you have any idea why this could be happening? Thank you’
Hi Justin, great work as usual, i'm givina a go to Twinmotion (I'm a sketchup - enscape user), i wonder why liniking my model directly from sketchup the gizmo for the objects is kind of greyed out, if i import the model directly in twinmotion the gizmos show as they should...any idea?
Hi Justin your tutorials are great. I can input a sketchup model from Warehouse and edit it in Twinmotion. However when I input my sketchup models they are greyed out and I cannot edit the materials. What am I doing wrong
I'm not sure if I'd do that as a texture - likely I'd bring it in as a model with the texture applied (the ideal would be as a decal, but I don't think you can create custom decals)
Hallo there. Very helpfull tutorial... thank you so much. I would like to ask this: I have a model in sketchup with 4 layers. i disable the 3 layers in sketchup because i want to see only one layer. When i import this model in twinmotion then i see all 4 layers together. is there a way to solve this so as in twinmotion to see only the one selected layer of sketchup. It would be very helpfull if you know the answer Thanks Sofoklis
I don't understand the issue you're having - do you mean it's fuzzy when you export it? Models are only "crisp" in a program like this, but you might have a changed visibility setting that makes it look fuzzy somewhere...
It's not really the same thing - everything you import in Twinmotion comes in as a "group" of some sort - there's no clicking into groups to get down to raw faces. This seems fairly typical of most rendering programs
I clicked your link and it asked me to sign up at Epic Games. When I tried to sign up it told me I am already signed up. I never signed up to this site. Has anyone else had that happen?
Wow. It turned out my daughter 10 years ago signed up to the site. I was able to download. I look forward to trying this program out. Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention. As always, your channel has brought a wealth of information. You are the only channel that I have the notification bell set for.

Hi, I tried twinmotion and I really liked it. To all the designers in my company too. Thank you!
Awesome - glad they're liking it! :)

I have tried for so many times to install the Twinmotion after downloading... always giving error when updating.
Thanks for the vedio

Downloaded Twinmotion last november, but only just got around to trying it out. The video is very helpful, especially on landscaping, Thanks!
This is amazing. My mind is blown.

I talked about those a bit here - ruclips.net/video/8tIq0xW5AD4/видео.html - don't know if that helps or not

Nice Sir for best Rending and this is new Software for me Twinmotion
Glad you liked it!
another good thing to do is explode everything prior to export or in SU, make a copy of your project and explode it, then export into twinmotion.
Why?
I don't quite understand why you would want to explode your groups and components... I see no benefit.

Very nice tutorial how to create a link direct in 3ds max to twinmotion
When isolating grass group, why not have grass on a layer?

TheSketchUpEssentials It does open....I was moving around.....but could not go inside the model...
Hi, sir, i am big fan of ur work. I would like to know as which one would u recommend to us as ur viewers twin motion, vray , or enscape for sketchup.
Hi! Great tutorials you have here. I’m trying to import a 3D model I created on sketchup but once I try to import it , if shows absolutely nothing. Do you have any idea why this could be happening? Thank you’
#TheSketchUpEssentials will it work with intel 4gb graphics card and Ram 8gb
Is it okay to have twinmotion and vray on my laptop. I have vray already and i was thinking if installing twinmotion will replace my vray.
Do you know how you can make a green wall with plants in twinmotion?
Can you import 2D textures (brick, stone, etc.)?
what is this song name? Thank you twin team!!!
Hi thanks for always creating useful tutorials! i was wondering if you’d know how can i use the scenes that i took in sketchup into twinmotion?
I don't believe there's a way to do that, but you could recreate them with different still images when you set up your camera views...
Does it support 2D cut-outs?
Hi Justin your tutorials are great. I can input a sketchup model from Warehouse and edit it in Twinmotion. However when I input my sketchup models they are greyed out and I cannot edit the materials. What am I doing wrong
Are you using the direct link extension? Maybe try importing directly instead?
question, i have entire furniture pieces not showing in tm, also is there a way to separate the walls or somethn on tm
Are they turned on? And I don't really understand your second question - you'd want to group them in SketchUp and import not collapsed by material
Hi is there materils/texture for winterlandscape inside twinmotion (snow, wintertree etc)
Yes - you just change the weather settings in the "Nature" section
SketchUp file not support twinmotion why sir
Hi can you please assist when I import a sketch unit into Twinmotion all the furniture have black triangles on...
Not sure what this is, sorry
Good tutorial.....
Thank you! :)
@@Thesketchupessentials sir one doubt...actually in cera settings....lighting tab is not coming up for me
Also how does TM handle bespoke textures like a poster for example?
I'm not sure if I'd do that as a texture - likely I'd bring it in as a model with the texture applied (the ideal would be as a decal, but I don't think you can create custom decals)

You can turn objects on and off with the outliner in Twinmotion - maybe try that?
Where can I find someone that can create these renderings?
🙋🏻♀️
can we do this with sketchup free online? is it the same step? thanks
You might be able to download the file as a .skp file and import it manually
Justin, how do you get a crisp SketchUp model back into twin motion I found model goes fuzzy not sharp edges between planes /corners
I don't understand the issue you're having - do you mean it's fuzzy when you export it? Models are only "crisp" in a program like this, but you might have a changed visibility setting that makes it look fuzzy somewhere...
TheSketchUpEssentials I send. Model through sketchup and then twin motion?
In sketch up I paint textures to faces inside a group, not paint the group. However in TM, you seem to paint the group?!
It's not really the same thing - everything you import in Twinmotion comes in as a "group" of some sort - there's no clicking into groups to get down to raw faces. This seems fairly typical of most rendering programs
Bro imported files is not showing in twinmotion
I clicked your link and it asked me to sign up at Epic Games. When I tried to sign up it told me I am already signed up. I never signed up to this site. Has anyone else had that happen?
Interesting - you've never done anything with Unreal Engine, or purchased games through their store or anything like that?
