This product is NOT designed to be placed on the top of the RV. I understand that a higher placement would most likely get better reception. I reviewed the product using the mounts that came with it, in the way they were intended to be used.
I think if you had placed the King on top of your RV it would have performed the same as the installed one. You make a good point though about how the the King, with extra coaxial cable could be placed in a better reception location than where the RV is parked. Good to see Amelia again.
you could put the antenna cable into the outside tv input on the camper, then use a short jumper from the wall plate to that power box and leave the electrical part in the camper
Good honest review thanks,I know for a fact that the winegard wingman is the best antenna out there i have camped buy others who have a new camper and had the King antenna and only picked up half that i have, up graded 6months ago, thanks for sharing.
Just get a king control jack antenna that installs(replaces) the one on the roof(factory antenna ) it powers up giving you more channels. It has a red indicator light that shows its amplified. I also have the wingard sensar pro (replacing the booster) to help locate the channels and bring clarity to the signal.
Sam it is very lijely the stock antena on your Zinger is likely made by King also. You were coreect the antena needs to be 12 ' in the air on your roof for best reception. Thanks for another great video !
Cool video. Our 2013 Arctic Fox came with an omni-directional antenna similar to the one you are testing, and so did our previous camper. Very disappointed in the performance of both units. Most times when camping our neighbors with the directional antenna (like on your camper) are watching TV and we have NO signal at all. The exception is if we are only 15-20 miles from a large city (transmitter) and flat ground then our round antenna will grab enough signal that we can watch tv. Love your reviews, keep the videos coming !
I grew up with three channels so the 6-7 is fine by me. I haven't paid for TV in years, not since I cut it off when I started graduate school and never missed it enough to pick it back up all these years later. I like that it is light, and I wonder if you had put it on the roof of the RV itself so it was closer to the same height, might it have picked up a couple more usable channels?
Really think they should have send it to somebody that knows at least something about antennas. That adapter is an power injector to power the antenna, the injector should be inside at the RG switch where you have power anybody that has worked with old cable systems would have know this. Poor thing.
Doesn’t your trailer have a built in amplifier for your roof antenna? If you leave that amp turned on it should assist the King antenna (same as if you plugged it’s own power unit in). Basically you could just bypass that power unit altogether and just run a coax directly to the King antenna from your RV outside plug. The built in splitter inside your trailer would still amplify the King unit (usually that’s why they say to turn that amp off when you plug a cable feed from a campsite into that outside plug). But you aren’t much of a TV watcher so really I guess it doesn’t matter to much haha
FYI, your Rv antenna is analog, not digital. Your tv is digital and can search for signals by itself. The King antenna is digital and looks for digital signals, like your tv. You screwed up somewhere.
There is no such thing as a digital antenna. Television antennas are made a specific lengths to match frequency. A rabbit ears from 1950 is an effective antenna for digital TV today.
Sorry dude. Bad review. You need to compare apples to apples. Put the Omni antenna on the roof of the 5th wheel and try again. And stop harping on how much tv you don’t watch. The company sent you the antenna to review. Stop giving them reasons to cut ties with you before you can build a relationship with them.
I think maybe you should have put the KING antenna on the roof of your Rig. but hey I don’t watch TV either. nothing but junk on anyway, unless of course your into being infiltrated by the Drug Cartels also known as the pharmaceutical industrial Complex LOL js.
Im with you forgetting about it being on top of my truck roof BUT then again i the dum a** that forgot to put the antenna down ,,,, i think this would be perfect for a bus conversion ,, & for 6 colur if that KID owned that 5th wheel and truck he ant no punk big mouth hipster just my 2 cents

height is might in antennas. So for a fair test the antenna need to be at the same height
Hey how come you cant mount the tripod magnet on top of the rv instead of the truck

the best signal you could get putting the tripon over the roof over the trailer ?
Good to see you back!
Glad to see you back to making videos. I might have missed it, but when are you going back on the road?
+Geary Durre 3ish weeks!

Lighting yourself from behind prevents the shadows and eye-squinting issues ☺
Great review and breakdown of usage.

I Understand. Not trying to be critical. It would have been nice to see under a equil situation if it actually did better or not
With an.expensive RV use OTA??? What about Directv or Dish?
I spent $1300 on the roadtrip t4 and now enjoy hd satellite even when driving!

Did u even look at the UHF channels it found?
Did he plug it in 110V Ac or was it 12V Dc?
Thank you for taking the time to review the antenna for us. The results were not very good.
If it takes 110 to run it then it's not actually a RV antenna.

First time u do a man bun I'm out... lol ha ha
what about when you’re where you can’t see skies because of all the trees

Should have tried it on the RV roof.
+krtex56 yeah, that isn't really what this particular model is designed for, so I figured I'd use it how it was meant to be used.
Yes but to be fair because of the mountain the roof would have been good. That’s what I was waiting for
Why didn't you put the King Omni Directional antenna on the roof of the RV. Height is everything in VHF UHF reception. Your entire test is void.
And as usual you don't tell us the price I want to know the God damn.. price
Higher the better. Mount it on top of your rig. Why mount it on your truck?
What about ant. on trl. like one on trl
Try in the rv
كم السعر. وهل يعمل في لبنان
You could have put it on top of your rig.

My sister has a due like that

+Lighthouse Travelers haha she is still alive and kicking!

not working better than my rooftop antenna on my 5th wheel only 12 ch compare to 13 with the rooftop. don't waste your money
👍
Oh
Little hipster kid video for little hipster kid viewers. I must be getting old, only about to turn 40 and this is so annoying. I fear for the future.
You were just as annoying at that age
