Most of the hawker centers you mention are located downtown, or at least close to. Traveling around Singapore is cheap and efficient, so I would recommend visiting the following ones: East Coast Lagoon Food Village Old Airport Road Chomp Chomp ABC Brickworks Pasir Panjang Food Centre Fengshan Market and Food Centre Bukit Timah Market and Food Centre ...just to mention a few
Yellow Productions My pleasure! I’ve only been in Singapore since October (plus total 4 months in -16 and -17), but I love trying out food all over the island. If you like roti prata, I can also recommend I Mohamed Ismail Food Stall, #01-104 at Boon Lay Place Market and Food Village. Far away in the west, but definitely worth the trip!
I love satays I don,t have chickens only ask for beef is the best love my hometown I was Singaporean now living in Spain don,y like it here sad to said I came here because my husband like is he love the sun and warm weather because. U, K, always rain or snow thank you for sharing your beautiful story very good enjoy your holiday
We were there in early February 2019 and were lucky enough to find a short line (30 minute wait) for Hawker Chan's one Michelin Star Chicken Rice. The chicken and the soya sauce made all the difference and set it apart.
Best BBQ seafood.....Chomp Chomp. Not easy to get to, but worth it Best satay.....Old Airport Road. Pretty close to the Dakota MRT Station (Circle Line) Best chicken rice.....Wee Nam Kee (restaurant, so not a hawker center).....Close to Novena MRT Station (red line) Best laksa.....Sungei Road Laksa. Near Jalan Besar MRT Station (blue line) Best char kuay Teow.....Outram Park Fried Kuay teow in the Hong Lim Food Centre. Near Chinatown MRT Station (blue and purple lines) Best Bak Kuh Teh.....Song Fa Bak Kuh Teh. My favorite outlet is at the Chinatown Point Shopping Center in (not surprisingly) Chinatown Best Pooh pia....Old Long House Pooh pia. Near Lorong 7 in Toa Payoh, Kim Keat Market (go to Toa Payoh MRT and take the 238 directly there) Best to stay away from Newton. Touristy and more expensive than other hawker areas.
Best foods in the world very good healthy foods thank you for sharing your beautiful healthy foods spices and not spicy thank you. Chris you go to the right place for your healthy foods
I love your video is very good friendly video thank you for sharing your beautiful video love the beautiful place in. Singapore I love satays enjoy your holiday
The Satay looks delicious! I probably could eat them every day. If I get a chance to visit Singapore someday, I will definitely have to try them. Awesome video!
I love satays any time enjoy them don,t ask for prawns is not worth the moneys satays is the best thank you for sharing your beautiful foods enjoy your holiday there thank you
To eat the Chee Kueh we usually use the stick and press down on the rice cake to divide it into smaller pieces. That makes it easier to lift and put into your mouth. Saying that, most of the time the store would give a small plastic fork to eat the chee kueh with. Eating with a stick is quite archaic and not many places do that anymore.
Hainanese chicken was actually invented by a Chinese Man before the Second World War in the 1920s to 1930s called Wang Yiyuan, although at the time it was just called Chicken Rice. He came from Hainan to Singapore during the Chinese Civil War and sold his rice in the streets, eventually opening a restaurant called 琼林园.
thanks for the fantastic video presentation. Really miss the food there. Also a great way to describe how our food is like in Singapore to my Friends in spain
You definitely know Singapore well! You have covered every single famous hawker centres! Some of them like Tiong Bahru Market only locals will go. They serve very authentic local dishes.
awesome man...i lived there for 3 years and went to high school at SAS...beautiful country i hope to visit again...im going to watch more of your videos lol
Dudeeeee, you have to include old airport road and Adam road Hawker centre and chomp chomp is really good (supersized sugar cane juice!!) - the changi one is great but you need to pair it with a trip to Pulau Ubin. Respect for going into such detail to many of my fave eateries; proud to be a Singaporean!
I love all the food you eat I miss them all I,m Singaporean now livening in Spain missing all the food in Singapore that I cannot get it here very sad hope you enjoy as much as you can thank you for sharing your beautiful video love your video.
Hi Chris! Thanks so much for the tips! 🤗 We watched your video before going to Singapore, and then re-watched it once we arrived to see which hawker center close to our hotel was the best according to you. Turns out we’re right next to Tiong Bahru! We just came back from eating shui kueh, which was DE-li-Ci-Ous! We would’ve never thought to go there if it wasn’t for you and we’re so excited to try the chicken rice next! 😄👌🤗🤩 thanks so much!
I love the hawker food they very good food and cheap they cook in front of you don,t like to go to the restaurant love hawker food any time thank you for sharing very good video .
Maxwell Road & Amoy Street hawker centres cater mainly to office workers so they're fully opened during weekdays lunchtime. Very crowded at that time though.
the one I like the most is bt Timah hawker Centre, near beauty world. the worst is bt Panjang hawker Centre. in bt Panjang, only one stall I like and frequent, the rest of the stalls I hate it
Love to watch your video beautiful foods enjoy your holiday there and enjoy your foods thank you for sharing your beautiful foods thank you for sharing your beautiful healthy foods. very good thank you
Hi there, How are you? Its sooo greeat to see your New Videos on Singapore? Your just amazing!!! If you are in or if you visit again could you make videos on Waterworld, Universal Studios, Little India, Clarke Quay and also could you see if the Grand Imperial Hotel is still open in Little India. Sorry for the list. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Thanks. Marshal.
Thanks JC! I have a whole video just to show the tourist attractions that were featured in the movie.. check it out here: ruclips.net/video/dgTn2MlTR9E/видео.html
I've got a couple more videos from Singapore coming up... but then that's it for awhile... because I only shot a couple more on my last 2 day trip to Singapore :)
This one is extremely old. It's really good and cheap as well. However, it's in the middle of nowhere. Expats and tourist don't go anywhere near that area, that's a place for locals who live around that area.
These 9 hawker centres are no doubt popular, should have above average quality Singapore food. But if you ask a local, most likely they will tell you their favourite hawker centres are the ones in the residential neighbourhood. Few to name; Redhill Hawker Centre, Bedok 85, Chomp Chomp Hawker Centre, Old Airport Road Hawker Centre, Hong Lim Hawker Centre, ABC Hawker Centre etc etc etc. And we are not yet talking about coffeeshops in the HDB void-decks. 😅 So basically the trick is getting your food where the locals stay. Of course thats if you are looking to try local food.
You have not tasted the real Satay until you tried the one at Haig road hawker centre. Lau par sat and satay by the bay are nowhere close to it. Most of these shops get their satays from the same supplier. Go and try "Sudi Mampir Satay ". Haig road hawker centre. Opens everyday except Wednesdays and Thursdays. Opens at about 11am till 8pm. Its so good sometimes the satays are sold out by 5pm. The best in Singapore in my honest opinion. Its a must try if you are a satay lover
Hey Chris nice video. I would like to add on Zion hawker centre recommending the prawn noodles, duck rice and char kuei teow. Btw you use the bamboo skewer to cut the chwee kuei up into bite sized portions lol.

I live in Spain cannot get food like in Singapore , thank you for sharing .you should keep your fork and spoon from your chicken rice so you can used again better then a stick,
Hi Trinh: You best bet for a food court is at the VivoCity shopping center -- that's where you take the train in to Sentosa Island from -- they have a food court (Food Republic) right next to the Sentosa train station. Or if you want a Hawker Centre, there is one across the street from VivoCity -- it's called "Seah Im Food Centre"
Hi Chris, your video is amazing! By the way you can try out the curry rice and duck noodle at Redhill market , it is one of the best curry rice i have ever tasted especially their pork cutlet, there's also a stall that sells chicken wing and our Prime Minster even queue up for it! you can google that =).Keep up the Good work .
I really wish you would feature the chilli crab (in Singapore, it's spelled with 2 "L"s) a little more. It's a Singaporean delicacy. Pig's organ soup may sound kind of funny to Westerners, but the Singaporeans really like it.
Great video as always...Lol..i want to see their reaction if they eat at Malaysia..which is alwayd better. As evident in the fact that Singaporeans always travel to Malaysia to eat Their food
Love your content, but quick creative tip, remember to look at the camera lenses not the screen! I like folks to make eye contact when they’re talking to me 😂😂 Thanks for the great tips on Hawker centres
