My first trip to Singapore, the taxi driver from the airport said "There are 3 things to remember about Singapore. It is VERY, VERY, VERY safe" :) been back about 8 or 9 times since and he was not wrong at all! MRT is fantastic, the F1 is brilliant and the people are super friendly. I love Singapore
Hey Chris, I lived in SG for more than 13 years and just want to say you have done this city island Justice - you hit all the right notes on what to advise people on. Singapore should be the 8th wonder of the world - Dubai and other city states while nice don't compare. Singapore holds the line between old and new world is the most unique and authentic way I've ever witnessed, it's an absolute gem and recommend everyone going to visit to watch this episode! Great job!
We appreciate your thorough condensed coverage of all Singapore has to offer. Your coverage was detailed enough to give first time Singapore travelers a full understanding of what to expect, encounter, how to navigate the different neighborhoods and options to have an enjoyable experience. You covered an enormous amount of information quite well, and with well spoken clarity. Top notch video! Thank you. With your professionalism and easy going demeanor you should have millions of subscribers.
Best city in the world. Going back in August. Thanks for sharing your experience. Also a very clever country/city. Many other countries could learn from what they do there.
I'm a Singaporean and I really enjoyed your video and found it informative. It's interesting to hear a different perspective of how others find and understand your own country.
Was in Singapore in 2000 and fell in love. Returning in December of 2023 and couldn't be more excited. Showing my family this video so they can see all of the many things they will experience this trip!! Subscribed!
Wow, what an outstanding little country so pretty, clean, developed the right way and it is just a marvelous place now I really want to go there. Thank you for taking us there with you.
The Most Comprehensive Guide in the shortest possible time By Far , and I have seen hundreds of guide about Singapore. Very Smoothly done without any lost of the ‘human element.
Just a small correction regarding riding bicycles: Its not really out culture to cycle to work or as a major form of transportation, because well, it can get so damn hot here sometimes. However, there are tons of leisure cyclist and serious pro bikers in Singapore. We have a very extensive and somewhat "hidden" network of bikelanes called Park Connector Network. It literally links the whole country together through various small and large bike lanes that go through interesting places like the park or east coast beach. You wont see these lanes in the major tourist areas in singapore, these lanes are usually situated on the outer rim of the island with small lanes running across to connect them all together.
Also - Riding on sidewalk is legal in Singapore. If you ride on the road you need a helmet, not on the sidewalk. I have ridded extensively around Singapore on sidewalks, I never ride on the road and there are hundreds of cyclists on the sidewalk - just saying not criticism - Great vid! I hope to see oy checking out Serangoon, Sambewang, Yishun etc away from the city
I have visited Singapore 3 times myself and loved the place. I did all the main attractions in 3 days easily. I've used the Metro to get to certain places which is cheaper and quicker.
Incredible video! We've never considered going to Singapore, but we want to go after watching this video. It looks so clean and safe. Thanks for another fabulous video!
Chris, I have to say that your production values are really improved in this video. The elevated views, the slow motion over the venues, the transitioning between segments. Maybe soon you will be producing videos for the Travel Channel! I'm a foodie so I really enjoy your food features of your videos. Singapore shines in its food offerings as you say. I just wanted to add that with so many Muslim Malays living on the island, there are many delicious Halal restaurants. I remember having BBQ baby octopus at a Halal restaurant. It was very tasty! Another favorite type of destination of mine is all the Christian churches. Many of them were built over 100 years ago. One such favorite is Chijmes, which used to be a Catholic convent. Now it's a food center with many delicious restaurants. The wedding scene from "Crazy Rich Asians" was filmed in the chapel there. For those wanting cheap shopping, you can take a 60 minute ferry ride from Harbourfront to Batam Island, Indonesia. Many Singaporeans shop there. Lastly, since it's a former British colony, don't forget to look both ways when you cross the street since they drive on the left side of the road there.
I appreciate the lighter content on food. Too many youtubers spend too much time on a single dish at a single restaurant in an entire city. Keep up the great content.
I had a one night stand in 'Singapore' by ways of 'Melacca, Malaysia' via bus back in 2019. Best solo adventure I never dreamed of experiencing. Walked from 'Hotel Boss' to 'Marina Bay Sands'. Extravagant city, citizens, tourists and that shawarma I ate at two o'clock in the morning. The next day my 'pork pie hat' was swiped while I was dining at 'Buddy's Thai Food' on 'Bugis Street'... It did not bother me; it's all part of the journey. The 'Death For Drug Traffickers Under Singapore Law' card they handed out during border crossing was a nice subtle warning.
Thank you so much for this video. We're going to be in Singapore on July 17th. This is so helpful as it's the first time I travel w/ just my teen daughter.
Been following your travel vlogs for years and in 2019 I planned my 10 day Singaporean holiday based on the wonderful accurate info you gave in your Singapore series videos. My mum and I had the best holiday ❤ We just love Singapore & feel we saw & travelled Singapore quite extensively, thanks to all your travel tips 👌🙌⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤
All of your videos that you have posted so far have been really useful btw, espically the ICA tip. Getting into singapore was as easy as scanning my passport/face and I was in (took legit 10 sec). I'm here for 13 days and have not been bored for one second lol, there really is so much to see.
I visited Singapore end of 2019 and I found this place to be quite cheap. Even the 5 star hotel I stayed in at Marina Bay I found to be priced very reasonable. And yes, Singapore is great!
Taking the family to Singapore in two weeks! This video really helped me with planning things to do, and thank you for mentioning the rain. We will be bringing umbrellas. And thank you Sir!
I really need to check out Singapore one of these days although I feel like I would not even want to leave the airport with how awesome it is, lol! This is such a great comprehensive guide! I really like all the food options there!
Hello, Sir. I derived my SG itinerary after your Singapore playlist last year. And I found this video to comparative to my actual SG experience. This is very informative for first time travellers going to Singapore. I’ve been there a lot of times while staying in Malaysia and it’s one of my favourite places to visit. My colleague is visiting there for the first time with her friend and she is excited to go.

I had personal space invaded by Thai lady boys who solicited near my hotel, Novotel Clarke Quay. Fullerton Hotel high tea and architecture are iconic, as is Raffles Hotel Long bar's Singapore Sling drink. Skip Marina Bay Sands.
@@patrickphuong2609 The Long Bar may be iconic but the drink is a frozen slush that is poured out of a tube. It's not made fresh there anymore (at least when I was there last in 2007).
