Doing very well here, my job has really taken off and I am needed more than ever right now. My son just graduated from high school. I really hate that I haven't been able to make any videos lately but I can't wait to get back to it. Thanks for checking on me. Really nice to know I am missed.

Brilliant idea. If you want to want lights on with your remote control, just buy a push button switch like in a fridge and in cars.

Any updates to your houseboat you were working on a couple of years ago?

For anyone wondering which wires he tapped into on the bus for that remote, “open switch” and “close switch”. Took me forever to realize not to tap into open door and close door.
Big fan of your videos. My bus is now iron man 2 Lol.

Have consistently enjoyed your DIY ingenuity as I am an avid DIYer and retired IT guy. I have two children living in Lawrenceville and would like to treat you to a coffee (or beer) on one of my visits.

Sounds like fun. Let me know if you are ever in Griffin. I know a great coffee shop and or beer/pizza place.

I just bought an f250 with a 7.3 gasser. Was just looking at a front mount hitch but the hang so low

For the remote control lights, what you need is a circuit using a flip-flop IC like this one:www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/cd4013b.pdf. It will even operate directly up to 20 volts dc.
The momentary trunk 12 volt output from your door remote would tell the flip flop to change states. The output of the IC would turn on a transistor to drive a relay that feeds 12 volts to the lighting circuit. I searched but couldn't find a ready made accessory that would do this. It wouldn't be difficult to build a small circuit to perform this. You could build it on a small perf board.
They make dedicated circuits to do this but you would need two remotes (one for the door and one for the lights). The standalone remote is designed to power winches or heavy duty truck accessories like pumps. Here is one on ebay: www.ebay.com/itm/FIMCO-12-Volt-On-Off-Wireless-Remote-Control-7771938-Extended-Range-Quick/133710471379?epid=2287018567&hash=item1f21c3e0d3:g:9IwAAOSw5XRfQ71u
Hope this helps. Keep building, don't buy it!

@@JYDOG , watch this video. ruclips.net/video/tkhUR_30o0s/видео.html If your door remote works on 433 MHz, then the circuit in the video may do what you want to control the lights in the rv.
