I went to your channel and viewed the walk through... Y'all did good! Appears to also have a long outside shade and something else on top...what is that? Maybe a Thule type storage box? Both easily visible on the passenger side. Trying to visualize the top made me wonder whether there was any solar? Thanks! Lynn
@@sxtn102 you're quite observant, yes there is a rooftop cargo box that is accessible from inside. Pop open the skylight in the hallway and use the bunk bed ladder to climb up top. The rest of the rooftop space is used up by an AC unit, Maxxair ventilation fan, a second larger skylight, and the winch mechanism for raising and lowering the back deck. No solar on this rig but it is off grid capable with generator and water tanks. you can check out lots of photos from the build here.. instagram.com/vanlifeconversions
I would love to know how the rear deck changes the mpg...is it worth it would be my only concern. I love it though!! I would only add a pull up extension beside the stove for Xtra prep space
yeah, ur right, but in another bus life channel they did this same family and we were told he had autism. So while I’m sure a separate little room would be nice for him I think his moms want easy access to him should something ever happen like a seizure or another symptom like that
When she said “my wife and I” my eyes went 😳 okay but that is pretty surprising and I’m happy that women are doing bus life van life on there own with no “man” because you don’t see that as much anymore and I’m glad there are more
Wow we definitely crossed paths with them in big bend!! I recognized that pink bus the minute I saw it. From what I remember we got to chat with them shortly in the hot spring. Beautiful family and a beautiful little home. Hope you guys are still traveling safe😊
This is an AMAZING family adventure....and the pandemic came after they were already on the road. Thank you for sharing your home and enthusiasm for life.
channel He alluded in another comment thread that it was because he’s felt that children would be better off in a family with heterosexual parents even if one was unhappy/uninvolved/abusive rather than having loving/involved/nurturing lesbian parents. You can see the logic, right? 🙄
It's so nice to see 'family' out there! I often wonder how embracing (or phobic) the nomad culture is, as well as how classist. These seem to be prevalent in the area I'm currently in and can affect life quality a great deal...so, often wonder about the nomad culture. Great bus! Really feels like home! Does schoolie living tend to keep you more rural? It would seem so just due to the physical logistics of the rig... Lynn
I think you would find that the RV, Schoolie, 5th wheel whatever choice are very open and friendly twords all people were a community of very like minded people. My husband and I have never had a negative encounter of any type with anyone.
You dont need to put quotes around family but I think that a lot of van lifers/ people with unusual living situations are pretty open about stuff because they are already doing things that a lot of people think is weird. Idk I dont live on the road (yet) but from what I've seen and heard many are very welcoming.
Hi Seven! Wow! This bus is amazing, very well thought out designs that fit their needs, and I love the brilliant color of the bus and the decor! Just beautiful, the colors just inspire you! Thank you for sharing this, and all the best to them and their family in their journey! Maybe we'll see them on the road someday! God bless!
12:08 "I'm really happy we decided to add these doors for privacy." Yeah I think even in a tiny house a door to the bathroom is necessary. Like what if you have people over and they need to use your bathroom? Are you just gonna continue your meal while staring in the face of the person who is taking a dump? Maybe I misunderstood, someone please explain this to me because I can't imagine having no door...
Wow wow you know I just got a bus is the same size as their bus but mine is a 97 , but that back deck idea I love it but it also just gave me an idea because of my handicap I have a hard time lifting the hood of the bus I'm going to put a winch on my front bumper and put a hook on top of the hood by the windshield and use the winch to open the front engine hood. Thank you for this video can't wait to meet you on the road out West I'll be out there next year at this time. Stay safe stay strong stay healthy god bless enjoy life any would be at honor to me for you to do a tour of my bus when we meet, ✌❤. 👨🍳🎅🥩🚌🚌
I love this and the same sex marriage with beautiful family. I'm all here for the WOMAN POWER!! Excellent buid, excellent color schemes, and such a organized and warm ambiance. Edited: if only I wasn't single, found someone who shared my passion and life for this, and loved me unconditionally. I'm so inspired. I've accomplished all my goals outside of finding a life partner. I wish them a lifetime of happiness.
@@itsmecathyw2503 I am really confident you will. There's trillions of people on this Earth but none will love u like or more than u love u. So make sure to spoil yourself rotten!

Fabulous, well done. This should be a great experience for the children while they are young. The bus is beautiful and I love pink too. 👍🏻 Maybe a pet for the kids to learn to love?
Thanks for sharing this. This bus is attractive, BUT...I think they REALLY needed a roof raise and a full sized bus! This seems so cramped for 4 people. This was shot in January of last year - just as the pandemic was gaining steam. I wonder how things worked out for them. I'm going to have to check out their channel.
Totally in love with the van & all the work you guys put into it ✨ .. also I love the vibes !! Hopefully I’m blessed enough to do this with a wife one day ✨ new Subbie for sure 🥳
This bus has a 33gal fresh tank, 33 gal grey tank, and 200AH AGM battery bank. It was primarily designed for camp ground use so it has city water and shore power hookup too. The owners wanted the ability to boondock for short periods of time so the tanks are pretty small for most full timers, but that was a necessity to get all of the interior and exterior storage. You can check out pictures from the build on our IG instagram.com/vanlifeconversions
I'm trying to figure out a simple way to put a small deck on the back of my bus. I don't have a door and don't need a large deck like this. I'm wondering if I can bolt hinges on the bumper and chain supports through the fiberglass if I reinforce it inside.
where is the working class/poor folks bus tours? i know the ingenuity rivals many of these money builds. no diss on this lovely couple and fam, just that there are thousands of folks out there who have been doing this for many decades and longer with much less money.
I've been trying to convert a short but I would really love a swivel chair cause it's the only chair I can fit in there but I'm not sure what would work for that... is there anyway you remember the brand or have a link for me? 😁 your bus is absolutely beautiful an homey 🤞🏻 mine turns out the way I dream!
This is how I want my life to be later. Me, my wife and kids touring around in a bus. This is amazing.
Do you accept applications on that wife position?
Jennifer and Kaitlyn were great to work with! We are so happy to see them and their children living their dreams of adventure.

Would you build a folding rear deck like that for a 2006 Fleetwood Pioneer?
That is gorgeous! The rear deck is sweet
That is until the winch breaks and sooner or later all winches break.
