I once on a slightly milder incline sat for 5 minutes straight just to see if it could figure itself out of being stuck and to my surprise it did! Pretty cool. Of course I had to test it as I've watched the Toyota video of these digging all the way down to the frame and the CC got it out, pretty cool stuff
@Taco_ truck I'm sure Mike and Matt will be up to trying this out again...maybe more in depth on the crawl control and its workings. It's hard to see in the video...this hill is pretty steep! It sorta freaked me out a little being my first time..lol. I should be more confident next round...😉
I definitely think we should experiment a bit more with the crawl control!
Is the guy in the TRD intentionally trying to get stuck?
What did you film this with
Yep, a Hero 7
can a Trd sport handle this?
The TRD Sport will be equally capable as the SR5, so yes!
@@DrivenCompanion ahh thank u now to get my truck modded out 😎
@@DrivenCompanion plus the sport handles like a dream on the asphalt snd even handles corners great. However, the stiffer suspension makes it ride a bit bumpy.
A 2wd sr5 can do it. That sr5 needs to turn off traction control so the auto lsd can be activated
Aren't sr5 only have open dif?
@@sunstyle52 it has auto lsd
@@sunstyle52 but it is an open diff. From what I've read up on it so far its like multi terrain management but only for the rear diff the way it will brake a spinning tire to send power to other side.
The TRD cheated compared to the SR5 making it by gassing it hard.
Trd off road don’t make difference , i have SR5 lifted and fox suspencion and is a monster
Why does TRD have a hood scoop?
purchased aftermarket
1:20 is where you messed up. Should have never stopped.
Well that crawl mode sucks. So SR5 are 4x4?
not all but yes you can get an SR5 with 4x4
Need air down tires make easy to go up
Whoever driving the SR5 is embarrassing.. I own a sr5 4x4 and it’s very capable. Hit the gas.. you were driving like no balls.
well dang dont wanna chip the shiny paint :)
@@Ed-lz4jv the white is probably already chipping with all the issues with that paint color on the Tacoma's
So the crawl control makes the truck climb by itself? Where is the driver abilities and professional, plus i didn’t see any difference between both honestly both of them needed 2 attempts , i might be an old fashion and like to be in control when it comes to driving
I think with the SR5 Matt had to choose a better line and maintain more momentum while Richard could go a little slower and take a more challenging route because of the locking rear diff. Crawl control automatically adjusts the throttle and will allow the truck to climb itself.
I could make that with my TRD 2011 Tacoma prerunner 4x2 with a rear locker.
I guarantee you couldn't. If you're ever in Central Oregon I'd love to film you trying!
I wish I was near there .. I would show you what a locked 2wd will do.
Too bad. Figured it was unlikely
