  • Deep water commercial fishing for Snowy Grouper, Vermillion Snapper, and a couple of other species. Not the most exhilarating way to catch fish, but it is a very unique style of fishing, and the fish are all very high quality table fare. Typically, our fish are packed and shipped the day after they are caught, which is an above average turn-around time, resulting in extremely fresh and high-quality seafood for restaurants to serve.

    Great video. The reels make a horrible blender like sound though

    Really enjoy your videos bro. Quick question here: on the days when you’re doing deep bottom fishing, are those days usually ‘high pressure’ days? Is that why you guys are going deep?

    How do you tell adult Snowy and Warsaw groper species apart? What are some good ways to decern juvenile Snowy and Warsaw grouper from each other.

    • @nolanminor6761
      @nolanminor6761  4 месяца назад

      They have different numbers of dorsal spines. Warsaw are also extremely uncommon here.

      @@nolanminor6761 I thought so too. Snowy grouper is supposed to be the only grouper species with ten spines. Funny thing Warsaw and Snowy may have 9,10, 11 spines in their dorsal fin according to the dozens of videos on RUclips. (Look to your video, the fish have more and less than ten spines in their dorsal fins.) For me, it's getting to the point where a DNA test is needed to tell them apart, after researching the two species of grouper.

      warsaws scales are also different and they have a huge spike on top compared to snowies

      @@issadoobie5624 Could you please elaborate on the differences between the two species scales for me?
      As I read more about the two species the more, I become confused.
      I've read claims the Warsaw and Snowy groupers each are the only species to have 10 spines in their dorsal fin, and it only gets worse from there.

      @@andrewrollins4898 kind of tough to explain. i guess i've just gutted/packed/sold enough of them to know the difference. warsaws scales do seem to be more compact i guess, longer/skinnier.
