Every time I see Mikey eat sushi I always remember the times he said he doesn't eat raw fish. I think John daub was the right dealer for him.

I didn't know that köd had gone international. The mash potato is actually called Brændende Kærlighed aka burning love and it's a very traditional Danish family meal 😊😊
I think I remember back in the day you didn't used to eat a lot of sushi, but now that you do I'm here for it!!
I would absolutely enjoy myself at this buffet. I love seafood and sushi.
Fun fact: In Denmark it is a must to ask foreingers to try and say "Rødgrød med fløde" because it is so difficult xD
You got the very fancy version, normally it is a strawberry puree with heavy cream or milk on top - ate it a lot as a kid, and i would always mix it up and call it "Lyserødgrød" which can be translated to pink puree. The word grød is very weird because we also use it for porridge, so everything that is kind of like a porridge, even if it is an apple puree, we will use the word grød for. We actually have a resturant named Grød in Copenhagen that serves a lot of different types c:

I can see why this place is booked up for weeks, now. For about $100 USD, that's a heck of a deal for all that seafood! Those desserts all look amazing, too. But that Danish Sunday roast had my jaw hanging. We Texans are all about our steak, as you well know by now--was it up to TX standards, is my question?
The food quality this trip is so superior to your first trip to London.
That price is an absolute steal. If I could I would put in reservations.

he says the same 5-6 phrases to describe everything he eats. his vocabulary hasn't expanded since 7th grade. everything is "uhmaaaaaazing" and every pasta dish is "cooked perfectly al dente".

Haha Didn’t know they were serving brændende kærlighed at restaurents! The potato mash and bacon is a stable when we are going on scout-trips as it is very easy to make, fills you up and is popular with the kids XD
Must be VERY heavy as a side to a steak though… it’s a very hardy dish

The Köd restaurant was just put on my go-to "A" list in London! Yes, for me the Uruguayan steak with the mashed potatoes is where I'm at. In Montevideo go to the Pulperia restaurant for the best steaks! It off the beaten track & mostly locals! The steak houses in the Mercado del Puerto are tourist rip-offs on the most part!

aye, no crispy tatties (the chips count I guess?) no yorkshire pudding, no pea's or carrots wrong kind of gravy. good steak though

One place I would recommend in London is Fellows great place with some unique items on the menu
The chances of me remembering to book are highly unlikely, but those steaks definitely caught my eye, might have to take a trip to London at some point.

The first steak is a tri-tip roast. The other ones were steaks. Which he clearly stated was a Danish twist on Sunday roast.

The food choices in London are a lot better today than in the 1970s. However in 2023 you had better be prepared to pay high prices for that food.
That buffet looked really good. Kind of weird seeing a UK roast dinner without Yorkshire pudding. Still looked great.

for those who need a reference on what an A4 cut of wagyu is, it is equivalent marbling wise to a high marbled prime cut. A5 is when you have the picturesque ones you see in media.

You need to have a roast dinner on Sunday usually but now we have it any day. Not like the fancy pricy ones totally no bells and whistles a home roast dinner with all. Not the fancy that cost you a lot if money. Specifically a home cook meal
