@@matthewharris-davies8368Funny-it all made complete sense to me! It was actually VERY simple. The hotel wanted her off the property-they can make that decision for any reason. In her case, it wasn’t hard to determine why they were making the decision to trespass her, and we didn’t even see what all happened before the police arrived. We can only imagine!

I’ve gotten kicked off planes, out of restaurants and out of hotels. There is no rhyme or reason to BPD behavior, but alcohol doesn’t usually help.

Satisfying arrest….Are you nuts? The way those cops were forcing her to the ground by her neck, they were in danger of breaking her neck or killing her. For what? She was just drunk. It happens. They escalated a situation unnecessarily. The easiest and most effective way to manage the situation was to wait for her boyfriend to get back. That was not easy to watch.

Im impressed with the hotel manager. He was very professional and the police let him talk.
I worked in a hotel downtown for 6+ years as a desk clerk. It's poison to your business to have even 1 cop car outside the property let alone several with their lights on coupled with dragging off a drunk and abusive patron. Good hotel managers have dealt with situations that would seem hard to believe from suicides to abusive spouses threatening staff, guests, and spouses with weapons and violence. Working at a hotel is very hard work sometimes; not selling or cleaning rooms but handling people.
Because he was getting shit done. He told her to go outside and she went, he told her to go cross the street and she was going. Sometimes I feel like police aren't doing enough, when they first approached they didn't seem interested at all. How did she went back inside being surrounded by cops and security. I bet the manager couldn't believe it as well when he saw her back inside screaming and followed by 10 cops and security.

Kudos to the hotel manager here - he didn't delegate this to his staff, but was there in person. When she was making a scene outside the main door, he had her moved, and overall he didn't pander to her antics, but had her leave the hotel. Very professional.
I was just about to point this out. The police should have taken the initiative and move her away from the main door. They did it when the manager asked them, no, TOLD them to move her away. The police were to focused on trying to prevent any escalation. The manager had all of his other paying customers to think of and he did a very fine job.

There is no way should have been allowed back in the hotel at 1:22 she should have been arrested then. The poor hotel manager was trying to keep her out of the hotel, off the property and away from other guests with no help from the police.
That’s what I was thinking, it took way longer than it should have to arrest her. When she went inside I was like, cops? Hello? The manager clearly doesn’t want her so why let her back in…
Not sure if they had cause to arrest/detain her at that point. But, the officer's casualness and non-response to her obviously disruptive behavior was strange.

At a place like that the cops are usually told to work with the people. That hotel charges $600+ a night for their cheap rooms. Places like that do not like people seeing others walking off in handcuffs. They would rather have a disturbance as people will just think it was a drunk. Cuffs can make people think violent crimes are bing committed there.
