Long ago I used to work the graveyard shift at a gas station and convenience store. We didn't have too many incidents of crime there except the occasional grab and dash with teens and drunks grabbing a case of beer and running out the door. Of course, we were told not to chase them since it was not worth losing our lives or getting hurt for something so small. One night two patrol cars stopped by and got some coffee and snacks, and even though I was never told to do so, I let the cops take the coffee for free. Later that next morning when the manager came in, I told him I gave some cops free coffee because I noticed that whenever they were there, we never had grab and dashers in the store. Weird, huh? The manager thought about it a minute and told me that they could have coffee, but that was it. So I asked him what about the donuts? Once again he thought about it, and said, just the daily baked donuts but not the packaged ones....and just one donut. So for the rest of time I worked there, every night I would have 5 or 6 patrol cars come in and get their free coffee and donut, hang around and talk. I never had another grab and dash again. This officer could come in and get her beef jerky anytime. I'd buy it myself.
I am guessing, Officer Roscoe, that all your gear probably adds 25% to your body weight. Honestly, I would think that your being petite could actually be an advantage to SWAT; you fit places that the larger guys don't, I can see that as valuable in some cases.
I hope she can be an inspiration to young girls & boys even we need more like her that kids & look up too unlike most of the idiots kids look up to on tik tok or hollywood or music....thank you Bailey & all officers in all cities that work hard & risk so much to protect us regular people especially these days with so much hate towards police & first responders. You & your families all risk so much every day protecting us & our own families & pets from the big bad evil world.
Thats a very narrow view, officers need equipment at hand and due to the evolving violence they have to be equipped to do their job efficiently and as for" public friendly " it's not supposed to be. You would also say that the military has too many weapons and equipment with that ideology!! Silly statement to make.
Pony tail and earrings are not a good thing if you have to fight or take down a suspect. They can be used against you and you end up in a disadvantage.
