Poor kid handled that like an actual adult. Makes me think he’s used to witnessing chaos, in fact I’m almost positive he has, a lot.

whats sad to me is that she didnt have someone serve the papers. Its so cheap my buddy is a process server and its under 100 dollars much safer
She clearly sees her kid as a paycheck and wants to use him as a cudgel against the father, who probably would be the healthy environment for the lad. I cant imagine what gaslighting and mental abuse the kid endures.

She will refuse therapy until a court forces it on her. I grew up with a “mom” like this woman. It’s not pleasant for anyone involved and my heart truly goes out to her son.
Also, props to the officer for how he handled this situation. He was great and his FIRST priority was to make sure the boy was safe. I also loved how he did not let her try and run the show. He was fair to her but he wasn’t playing her games at all. Good for him.
Nice of the cop how he checked and explained to the kid, kid is way more mature than mom
Disagree. That was just copsplaining 101. Cop asks, but in his head it's a command. People do it all the time with, "You wanna pick that up?" Translated means, "Pick that up." One of the many vagaries of the English language that they rely on.

I don’t know how these officers deal w these nuts day in and day out. Would drive me bananas. 🤯
I don't understand why on Earth anyone would divorce her, she's so sweet and soft spoken...
You noticed that too? What a lovely person
She reminds me a bit of those squeaky chicken chew toys. Those things lull me to sleep!
