I'm SO tired of these courts dropping so many charges on people that clearly deserve them.
What's the point of the police going through all of that if there are no consequences? Might as well have let someone pick her up and saved the hassle.

Well I mean it's not like our nationwide recidivism rate suggests that even half of convicts "learn" their lesson or anything. Sure we can just clog up our prison system with addicts, but every state that's tried that has failed miserably at actually curbing drug use. One may even call it a dismal waste of money that could otherwise go to actually trying to make people's lives better.
I have NEVER heard a friend/partner hold the person getting arrested to account like the father of her kids did just now. When someones on the sidelines yelling, it's usually at the cops, trying to demonize them for arresting the person they're connected to. He's not having any of it though and told her "calm down, look how you're acting!" Love it. I hope she gets the help she needs.
I agree. Enablers only hurt the people they think they’re helping. I was addicted to pain pills after an accident years ago and my husband saw my downward spiral and forced me to detox off of them! He literally locked me in our bedroom and I thought I hated him in that moment but now that I’m clean and sober, I realize I quite literally owe him my life ❤ I too hope this woman gets the help she needs…

I was a probation officer. When I’d revoke people for incidents like this (even without the body-cams they have today) they’d go to jail.
