@Mathias Jaxson yup, have been using Instaflixxer for years myself =)
He is fantastic. I could listen to him for hours.
I have known Robert since he was 14 years old when he used to come and practice on the Compton Organ at The Plough Great Munden where I played for over 30 years. He was always at that age was enthusiastic and hasnt practice made perfect.A very nice sincere person
Robert is one of the most under-rated organists and here is another superb performance.
he is not underrated. for being a homosexual he is what he is.
There are only 3 words that can describe this... JUST INCREDIBLE PLAYING!!
Theatre organ music played by a genius like you will keep us all optimistic whatever the future holds- theatre organ is just a cheerful sound.

Hi, My name is Kevin, I play organ and am still taking lessons, I live about 2 miles from a Movie theater in Col. Heights Mn. This family owned Movie house has an organ that does just that, and yes it is still operable They bring it out every weekend and let any competent organist to play, I do not know all the specifics about this organ, but I am going to try to find out as much as I can and maybe even play it. God Bless. Kevin
Id love to see that. I live in Connecticut so I think It's very unlikely it would ever happen. Any pictures of it?.
@@kevlutu do you play theater organ music now? I love this genre of music!
@@ggolds5 i live here in Staten Island...I just discovered this dynamite organist last nite. I love to take lessons!
@@michaelciccone2194 Funny, I was born in Staten Island lived there until age 3. :)
A brilliant organist, he's a very good person to know as a friend too.
These wonderfully appealing songs, reflect happiness in their appeal to us years after their original popularity. Heard on this fine Wurlitzer, in Robert's arrangements, and by his skills of registration and sympathetic performance, we are rich for their hearing. It is a delight to have this video for ongoing uplifting, as these songs had effect in their earlier unhappy days. Robert, thank you for your contribution to the enjoyment you bring to others. Bless you and those you love.
Robert is a natural, I was spellbound when I first heard at Thursford.
Blackpool revivified. brings a tear to the eye, the magnificent old queen of instruments and the estimable player. reminds me of sidney torch.
Always a pleasure to hear Robert - what a gift he has.
I love 42nd Street! Excellent music
A simple word, JOY! Pure joy! Whenever I need a quick pick-me-up I watch this video. Simply devine!
Never heard a theatre organist playing with such brilliance!!
Rich intensive registrations, never tending to sound overloaded, clean dedicated play with masses of charm in it making those old songs ( and this old instrument ) sound like reborn. Really great work and a pleasure to listen to!!!

outstanding performance, fantastic style control.
Must take a lot of work to learn what all those buttons and valves are for! And to play with your FEET at the same time as your hands! Fantastic job. Thoroughly enjoyed this!!
It sure is!
Absolutely love seeing Robert again. My partner and I had the great privilege to see Robert many times at the Casa Loma concerts over the years. Sadly we don't live in the area anymore.
+Don The old radio guy I'm glad you can at least see him once again on RUclips.
Sweet!! Always had a kink for this... I once saw a Farmall Cub Commerical from the 40s and the Intro music was fabulous!! I had to track down the instrumental music that made the sound.
O M G....how AMAZING!!!!!
I had forgotten how moving this sound is. Many many thanks for playing this wonderful music.
Bet the organ is happy!
Happy music played with flair. Loved this.

Wow - not only music from 42ND STREET, but from DAMES. GO INTO YOUR DANCE and GOLDDIGGERS OF 1933 & 1935. Pure magic!

Whoosh! And off we go! What a ride! Thank you, Mr. Wolfe!
Not quite old enough to have witnessed these kinds of concerts in person, but they indubitably take me to an era of stupendous music and fantastic art! Fabulous!
+Sam Antley These videos are fairly recent. Robert is only in his 50s and still playing at venues far and wide, as well as playing twice daily, 6 times a week at the Thursford Collection for half the year. He will be playing at Blackpool Opera House on November the 18th.
Stupendous! A great trip down memory land. Bravo!

Awesome playing!
This music is wonderfully cheerful and in this case, understood and played for others in an endearing way to pull them into the happiness. Happiness twice shared. Thank you. DJ
Great theater style playing, registrations, and don't forget the wonderful camera work! Thanks
Great sound
ASTONISHINGLY FABULOUS!!!
My goodness, this organ and the organist looks alike......the one an extension of the other...together they produce soul firing harmonica. ThX Robert. Keep the vids flowing....we really appreciate your grandiose talent.
Robert has been playing this particular instrument for decades. He knows the instrument inside and out. As you say, one is an extension of the other. He's the sound of that instrument now, others have played it, recorded it and coaxed very different sounds from it to superb effect, but Roberts style of playing and registration has become part of it.
thank you Bob for playing the organ.
What a great job!
Wow what playing Robert, I presumed that it was at Thursford.Thank goodness this was rescued to keep it being played how it should be played.
Long gone some of the cinema organs a great loss. I have to admit that I did not like 42 street but had this been played at the time what a difference. Thanks.
Feeling a bit low? Just listen to this... Thank you Robert!
He is great!!!
Wow! I,m speechless!
Fantastic, hoping to see Robert at Thursford some time over the summer.

If you've never watched the movie 42nd street you are missing one of Hollywood's greatest triumphs. It show cases one of Busby Berkeley's most outstanding stage production masterpieces never to be seen again.I have it on DVD. Great songs, dancing, and cast from Hollywood's golden era.
