It only helps partially, but I've tied a folded bandana around my head to cover my eyes from light and it also helps a bit to keep ear plugs in. In the middle of the night, the bandana seems to slip a bit, though, so I have to readjust it.
You should NEVER shape the wax into a cone as it cane break off and stay in your ear. The proper way to use Oropax is to roll it into a ball and then squish it into your ear
mt problem with earplugs is that they always have been very uncomfortable and they keep me awake. ive tried many different variations from foam, to puddy silicone and resuable silicone. foam they always make them too big. i guess they arent as effective unless they are sqooshing your ear, silicone is way too rough, i guess my ears are just way too sensitive to its plastic feel. and puddy always falls off in the morning and is very expensive. its not recommended that you reuse puddy, but they are apparently intended to. i on the other hand value my sleep greatly so i just fork over the cash.

I only use Mack’s earplugs and they are yellowish green color. It’s the only kind that works the best. They are foam but they are like really good foam. I pinch mine and stuff them deep in my ear. I know they say don’t do that but I have to. They fit perfect. I sleep like a baby and they sell them for 5 bucks at Walmart
Hi, those sound like some really good earplugs, and they're cheap too which is even better. You said that, when you use your earplugs, you pinch them. By pinching them I assume that you mean, like, making one end of your earplugs smaller to go inside of your ears? You also said that, when you are inserting your earplugs into your ears, that you stuff your earplugs deep inside of your ears. Stuffing your earplugs inside of your ears sounds like you force them inside of your ears. Do you actually force your earplugs to go into your ears? Also when you said you stuff your earplugs deep inside of your ears, it makes me curious about how deeply you stuff your earplugs into your ear canals. Do you know how deep that your earplugs on the insides of your ears? Like are they deep down your canals far enough to be close to your eardrums? Honestly, I don't think that you should listen to the people who are telling you not to use your earplugs inside of your ears so deeply. You should keeping using them deep inside of your canals to protect them. I'm glad they help you to sleep well. I'm also curious about a few other things based on your comment. Like, do you know if your ears produce a large amount of earwax or only a little bit of earwax? I ask that because I'm just wondering if you know if you are pushing some of your earwax deeper inside of your canals when you are inserting your earplugs into your ears? Also, I just wanted to know, do you clean out your earwax from inside of your ears? If you do that, what do you use for cleaning your earwax out of your ears? Is it, like, qtips or something like that? And, how often are you cleaning out your ears? Whatever it is that you use for cleaning out your ears, do you know how deep inside of your ears that it goes when you're cleaning your ears? Like, is it deep down enough to be close to your eardrums? And, also, do you know how deep that your ears are? Like from the openings of your ear canals until your eardrums? One last thing I'd like to ask is, how do your ears feel when you have your ear cleaning things inside of them to clean them out? Thank you for reading this and responding to it once you do
Terrific video. Love the way you presented text...easy to read. These options just reduce the dB up to 32. Are there any that can give us near silence? Maybe with a dB rreduction rating of 50dB? I had to pop in my iPhone et buds to sleep this morning. Did the job... reduced the sound from the condo unit below (machinery running...reno machine left on...). Hardly heard the sound. Don't know how many dB they suppressed...
Thanks so much for watching! I think you'll probably like foam or wax because they'll compress as you lay down and put pressure on your ear and they'll be less noticeable. I often wear Mack's soft foam ones and sleep on my side with no issue.
I am in need of Plugs to block out my upstairs neighbors kids stomping and banging on the floor/ceilings. I have the regular foam ones but I can still hear it pretty loud. Any Recommendations? Something to block out Low

What she doesnt tell you about the wax ones is the mess it leaves I your hands afterwards. Maybe I'm just special like that but it was a pain in the ass to wash my hands afterwards
The only thing that worries me about using these things is not hearing things like smoke alarms. Good to use for short periods, but I don’t think it’s a safe thing to do longterm.

you can go to the doctor from time to time to get it checked. my doctor could easily clean it using a simple pump and some hot water, the procedure should not be painful.
Are there any other earplugs that have a higher DB than 32? I live close by to a hospital and everyday get woken up 1 to 3 times with an ambulance siren blaring by
Hi. I was wondering the same thing and this is what I found out: "The highest NRR rating for earplugs is 33, and the highest available NRR rating for earmuffs is 31. These values reflect the level of noise protection available for each device when worn alone. Combining earplugs with earmuffs can offer a NRR protection level of 36." I hope this helps. Honestly, I'm disappointed because I'm currently using earplugs with that NRR but I need something more to block out my husband's snoring.
I'm using similar earplugs to the Bose. The design is longer and more simple, however I'm having an issue getting a proper seal with them in my ears. Does anyone have a tip for getting a good seal? And yes, I do pull ears before inserting, as you should.
Muffles wax earplugs from Boots are the very best and around £2.69 p for 5 pairs . I really should know as been wearing earplugs every night since 1983 ....addicted ....yes 😅
Hi, since you've been using earplugs for your ears I just wanted to ask you some questions about it. Thanks in advance. So, you said you use wax earplugs, how do you insert the wax earplugs into your ears? Do you, like, roll them into a cylinder and then insert them into your ear canals longways so that they sit deep inside your ears? Has using your wax earplugs for so many years caused any problems with your ears? Like, did your hearing get worse at all? Or do your ears produce more earwax than they used to? Also, what is the reason that you've been using them every night for so many years? I've also got a few questions that aren't about your earplugs exactly but just about your ears instead, if that's okay. I touched on it briefly before but, do you know if your ears produce a lot of earwax or only a little bit of earwax? Another thing I'd like to ask is, do you clean out your earwax from inside of your ears? If you do, what do you use inside of your ears to clean your earwax out of them? Do you use qtips or something like that for your earwax? Whatever it is that you use for cleaning your earwax out of your ears, do you stick them deep inside of your ears when you're cleaning your earwax out of them? If you do go deep inside with them, do you know how deep inside of your ears that you go? And, also, do you know how deep that your ears actually are? Like from the openings of your ear canals until your eardrums? The last thing I'd like to ask is, how do your ears feel when you have your ear cleaning things inside of them and you've moving them around to clean out your earwax? Do you enjoy the feeling of it? Thank you for reading this and responding when you do so
@@laura-sandy1492 Also, sorry, I missed this with my last comment. Yes you can reuse your wax earplugs for a while. When you feel like they've gotten too dirty and you don't want to stick them inside of your ears anymore, then you can throw them away if you'd like to.
I've used standard supermarket foam earplugs for sleeping and reading for years now. I don't know if you're meant to use them multiple times but I'll wear each pair until they smell bad.
Same lol. I don’t want those things you have to stick up in your ear. I want something like the bose earplugs but that’s just way too expensive. Might just sleep with my apple airpods lol
Yes, but the only real possible problem that sleeping with earplugs inside of your ears every night is that your ears will start to produce more earwax in your ears. You can help with this by making sure that you go and clean out your earwax from your ears as deep inside as you can with qtips before you insert your earplugs into your ears. Also, once you take your earplugs out, remember to clean out your ear canals as deep inside them as possible with qtips again. This way you should never build up too much earwax inside of your ears.
Thank you for this video it was very helpful. I have a question on the Bose Sleepbuds though, if no sound is playing from them how much noise do they block compared to other earplugs with a NRR of let's say 32db ?
I use the silicon one. But when I put my ear in the pillow I may be feel pain in it 😢 In the other way, as for me the silicon one is more efficient than foam concerning blocking the sounds

And there we can feel the vibration from soil, ground, floor in our hous, and vibrates the chair and the bed. Hi there, thank you for that information. With every night use, have you come into issues with ear wax build up?
WARNING: do NOT make a cone shape for any ear plugs before placing in your ears, healthcare experts strictly advise against this as you are significantly increasing risk to your ears!
How are we supposed to get them to stay in our ears? They always fall out.
@@brat4summer I would go with disposable gel earplugs they stick better.... from everyone that has used them around me.... downside is the are one time use... different countries will have different names, but much more effective and stick better than the cone shaped ones, the look like little putty cubes inside retail packing... about 20 cubes per pack
risk of what
@@yasmine2556 i’m just joking but i’m pretty sure they meant that it can pack the ear wax in your ears causing you to go deaf till you get it cleaned out. They could also be talking about it going in too deep and touching your ear drums which is bad too.
Kati what are you doing sleeping or what wake up
Great info. Thanks. But is the Mack's reusable?
You're not supposed to mold wax eraplugs into cones. If they warm up and break off into your ear, you risk ear damage
Foams ones can irritate your ears, i find wax ones the best for comfort but they can fall out of your ear during the night if they get too warm. Still searching for the illusive ear plugs that can block most sound and not irritate my ears. Best one for blocking sound is Sleeep Pro but they really hurt my ears, amazing at blocking sound though
It only helps partially, but I've tied a folded bandana around my head to cover my eyes from light and it also helps a bit to keep ear plugs in. In the middle of the night, the bandana seems to slip a bit, though, so I have to readjust it.
Wax are great
You should NEVER shape the wax into a cone as it cane break off and stay in your ear.
You should try custom fitted ear plugs. They can cost around $200 but the last 5-7 years so they may be a good option for you
I've been using earplugs for sleeping for well over 20 years. I've always been a light sleeper, even as a kid. My favorites are the industrial Howard Leight Max (NRR 33), but I'm thinking of maybe dishing out for Amazfit ZenBuds when they come out this year, as not even these plugs can drown out the noise of a snorer next to you :)
Did you try the zenbuds? Any review
@@iihas_burrito9149 Yes, I bought them, but too late to try with the snorer next to me 😃 (we broke up). They are great otherwise. Just don't turn on sleep tracking and they will last the 12 hrs the company claims they should. Some ppl have complained they don't if you turn on sleep tracking...
Is it okay if I use it regularly?

Hi, I am using this foam earplugs and my ear got itchy. Any recommendations on this? I’m afraid I’m having the infection. 😭
My home mate is torturing me with his talking after midnight and I can't sleep. When I used earplugs it hurt me on my attempt to change sides. They went off or didn't stick right to work well. I want to learn how to use them properly.
My street has 20+ dogs and this is gonna help alot
Love dogs, hate their fucking owners.
I use AirPods pro to fall asleep when partner is snoring, and pop them out later. Will try some foam ones.
Very helpful video. Thank you for sharing xx
Im watching an earplug review video, for my sea sickness during rough seas.
if you're sea sick just pretend you own the boat
Thank you for reading this and responding to it once you do
Nothing worked for me until I got Peltor X5A earmuffs.
Around 33 is the maximum.
My dad is talking on phone in 3am, literally...

Thanks so much for your review! I usually sleep on my side, are any of these earplugs more/less comfortable for side sleepers?
Thanks so much for watching! I think you'll probably like foam or wax because they'll compress as you lay down and put pressure on your ear and they'll be less noticeable. I often wear Mack's soft foam ones and sleep on my side with no issue.
They're all uncomfortable
Search Dohm sound machine.
What do you think about the other types of PQ earplugs (foam and wax)?
Search Dohm sound machine.
I am in need of Plugs to block out my upstairs neighbors kids stomping and banging on the floor/ceilings. I have the regular foam ones but I can still hear it pretty loud. Any Recommendations? Something to block out Low
Have you tried speaking to the family about how its affecting your sleep? I have a noisy teenager who shouts on his computer games at night - I shout out to "shut up", it seems to work at the time. Fir some reason people are oblivious if how they can be heard and need to be aware of this.
I have small ear canals. I need something to block fireworks. Im also terrified foam earplugs will get stuck in my ear canal.
How many days would u use the same pair of earplugs?
I have tried every ear plug I could find and the ones I personally found are the best are from 3M. I found them at Ace hardware.
What she doesnt tell you about the wax ones is the mess it leaves I your hands afterwards. Maybe I'm just special like that but it was a pain in the ass to wash my hands afterwards
Thanks for the additional info. I was just thinking about trying those wax ones.
The only thing that worries me about using these things is not hearing things like smoke alarms. Good to use for short periods, but I don’t think it’s a safe thing to do longterm.

3M E-A-R Classic is the best for me.
What about wax build up? Ear plugs won't allow it to drain during the night...right?
you can go to the doctor from time to time to get it checked. my doctor could easily clean it using a simple pump and some hot water, the procedure should not be painful.
I tried foam earplugs. But they cause pain in ear. Please suggest earplugs that doesnot cause pain and mask around 30 decibles
Tjqnk you for this video😃❤️

Any recommendations for the best type of earplugs from snoring?
I want to know too please!
Are there any other earplugs that have a higher DB than 32? I live close by to a hospital and everyday get woken up 1 to 3 times with an ambulance siren blaring by
Hi. I was wondering the same thing and this is what I found out:
"The highest NRR rating for earplugs is 33, and the highest available NRR rating for earmuffs is 31. These values reflect the level of noise protection available for each device when worn alone. Combining earplugs with earmuffs can offer a NRR protection level of 36."
I hope this helps. Honestly, I'm disappointed because I'm currently using earplugs with that NRR but I need something more to block out my husband's snoring.
Yes, I use foam marks 34.
what is the best for noise canceling
Thank you for sharing 🥰
Nice work.. Thanks :)
I just want to ask if the mack's earplug is disposable after 1 use?
I'm using similar earplugs to the Bose. The design is longer and more simple, however I'm having an issue getting a proper seal with them in my ears. Does anyone have a tip for getting a good seal?
And yes, I do pull ears before inserting, as you should.
hello, can u plz provide me with a link where i can get that PQ variety pack?? thanks 🙂

Muffles wax earplugs from Boots are the very best and around £2.69 p for 5 pairs . I really should know as been wearing earplugs every night since 1983 ....addicted ....yes 😅
Is wax reusable?

Also, sorry, I missed this with my last comment.
Yes you can reuse your wax earplugs for a while. When you feel like they've gotten too dirty and you don't want to stick them inside of your ears anymore, then you can throw them away if you'd like to.
I've used standard supermarket foam earplugs for sleeping and reading for years now. I don't know if you're meant to use them multiple times but I'll wear each pair until they smell bad.
yeah I always do
can you also say the bad parts about them?...
Useful!
I have two French bulldogs so I really NEED earplugs for sleep! Thx for the review!

I just do not like sticking things in my ear.... But any noise keeps me up
Same lol. I don’t want those things you have to stick up in your ear. I want something like the bose earplugs but that’s just way too expensive. Might just sleep with my apple airpods lol
Is there a bad effect of always using earplug during sleeping?
Caroline Aleley Diaz no they are perfectly safe but only to wear when you don’t want to be disturbed
Krysuna u could just clean ure ear?
Yes, but the only real possible problem that sleeping with earplugs inside of your ears every night is that your ears will start to produce more earwax in your ears. You can help with this by making sure that you go and clean out your earwax from your ears as deep inside as you can with qtips before you insert your earplugs into your ears. Also, once you take your earplugs out, remember to clean out your ear canals as deep inside them as possible with qtips again. This way you should never build up too much earwax inside of your ears.
Why didnt mention loops?
Thank you for this video it was very helpful. I have a question on the Bose Sleepbuds though, if no sound is playing from them how much noise do they block compared to other earplugs with a NRR of let's say 32db ?
did you end up getting Bose or another pair? silicone ones just don't do enough for me and aren't comfy when sleeping on my side
I use the silicon one. But when I put my ear in the pillow I may be feel pain in it 😢
In the other way, as for me the silicon one is more efficient than foam concerning blocking the sounds
hey do you test prototype of earplugs ?
