AC Clutch is a known weak issue on all Civics & RDXs so test AC on highway after flooring the gas a few times. Power Steering Pump is another one - so a cold start and listen for creaking pump noise while sitting in driver seat. The rear wiper cover thing falls off. The driver door light cover falls off. The leather on the arm rest is too thin and rips. The front fender mud flaps connections are weak and can break. The difference in power on a cold day with high octane gas and a hot day with low octane gas is noticeable.
Very good job bud because I am actually looking at buying myself a used Acura RDX buddy and I take everything that you say to heart because it's definitely nothing but the truth
my tip to add to your list is if you have the money buy a scan tool and check the system for codes and true mileage you can buy one like the blue driver that uses Bluetooth and connects to your phone
it's a nice car and not bulky like the newer ones..here are a few things the arm rest leather in the middle is so thin it teared the logo "A" on the steering wheel, the plastic chrome has chipped off the dealer keeps stealing my front door light covers / or they fell off ?? the little cap on the rearview wiper has also vanished glad to know you are at that mileage..i think i'm at 87 with tons of nyc driving & nj highway driving as well
Excellent video! I just bought a car from Carvana & it is also a Acura RDX. It is a 2013 with only 25,000 miles. I will definitely know better how to look over the vehicle one it arrives.
Check the brake pedal cover for excessive wear compared to mileage shown. Most people/places will not swap those out for a new cover to fool a potential customer.
good information and lots of details. Do you know what that gauge is in the cluster for the turbo. Its next to the leftmost turbo one. Smaller one. Mine doesn't go up and down! The turbo one does however.
Im thinking about buying a 2007/2008 RDX, and I keep seeing good reviews, mostly around 4 out of 5 stars. I would mainly use it for daily commuting, not much highway driving. Do you think it's a good purchase option? Is it still a good choice in this year (2024)?
Why do you say that, what problem did you have? I'm thinking about buying a 2007/2008 RDX, and I keep seeing good reviews, mostly around 4 out of 5 stars, especially since I would mainly use it for daily commuting, not much highway driving

Good used car buying guide. Terrible rdx specific guide.
Can you do one for the 2016? Also is cpo a good idea?
CPO is certainly a good idea, they inspect and certify the car for you.
Struggling
