Wonderful necklace! In Russia we call it "Mylene Farmer necklace", because it became popular after her concert, but Mylene isn't the first lady to wear it. This necklace was inspired with Art Nouveau, using motifs imitating spiders' bodies. And a spider symbolizes depression.

I am so glad that the American retailer agreed that August is the prep month for the fall prep of September. I was on a bee-line for some goods, and I encountered a stray porcelain pumpkin, which promptly came home with me. I've had enough summer for one year,
Also, I make a lot of very long chains, and I dread doing them on string. Having to knot them every couple of beads so that the necklace doesn't stretch under it's own weight is a pain. Normally, I work by making beaded chains, but there are a few projects that are going to need to be strung, and I live in fear of string breaks.
I bought some fire-line, and the special clips for it, but I still have not worked up the courage ( nor the spoons) to begin that task.
Beautiful necklace. I can see how you'd get confused -- WOW

Love the necklace your wearing, I thought like many you had made it😹😹, good for you on taking the plunge into beading it can be so much fun, I do manly seed bead designs with focal points. For a very long time. I have beads in my stash that are over 40 years old🙀, I think it’s time I revisited my stash which has grown over the years.😹😹
A trick to help with complex designs is to not lay out your beads in piles but to layout them out in set groups before you stitch them in to the order that you want them. Over time your mind will develop muscle memory of your design regardless of what is used and you can switch back to the set piles.
Size 5 is not a common size, I don’t think I have any 5mm in that shaped bead in my very extensive collection of beads.
    11/0 2mm 3mm 4mm 6mm 8mm 10mm 12mm and so on are the most common which goes up by 2mm and not 1mm.
Try Potomac Beads as they deal with the factories with their own designed beads. I use to buy from them all the time, but they don’t ship to Australia anymore 😼😼
I don’t knot my threads but rather I weave back through at least 3-4 times around the whole piece to ensure they are locked in. The fishing line that I have been using for the past 8 years has not had this issue at all. It’s Berkeley Fireline which comes in many thread weights. As I use 15/0’s and smaller so I use a size 13 needle.
The biggest problem I have found is that you do need more than one supplier of beads if you are chasing a set colour groups as well as shapes. Because of this I deal with 2 companies in the US it use to be 3 but as I said Potomac Beads has dropped shipping to Australia now, and I have 3 companies in Australia, 2 in the UK and one in Yugoslavia.
The uranium beads are safe😹😹😹 they are so low it’s like walking out in the sunshine must admit they doo look nice glowing under UV lights 😹😹
For many of my beading projects that I have designed, I have been collecting the right beads slowly as they pop up on the market.
I think it was great that you dived in and showed as you learned, this is a great way to encourage those who are sitting on the fence that it’s not that hard once you jump in.❤️❤️❤️❤️

I love all of your videos, but the beading and sequining ones are my favourites, so I would always love to see more of those. I've been researching places to affordably buy nice materials in my area because your brooches and necklaces are a huge inspiration. They are so beautiful and creative! Unfortunately (for crafting purposes, at least) I live in Australia, and it can be difficult getting nice things.... especially when you live in the even more craft store dry area that is Tasmania

I did something similar to this recently to make a fancy beaded cap for a ren-faire-themed wedding. I made some cherry blossom motifs out of gold seed beads and glass pearls, then connected them into a kind of net. :) it was fun, but super time-consuming lol. The results of beading are sooo worth it though

Very relaxing video to watch, I don’t think I’d feel so relaxed beading it 😅

🙏 Thank you for the demonstration, I've had this patterned saved for years but always became overwhelmed by the pattern image on Pinterest 😅 I'm so glad you walked though each shape ❤ I'm with you on looping my tails back through my finished pieces, I just feel it adds an extra level of stability & less chance of suddenly a knot breaks & beads start to unravel 😅

Mind successfully blown. I don't have words florid enough for this fantasy in beads.

This is absolutely stunning!! The level of sparkle and detail is amazing. With the Picasso finish you mentioned, if you made a necklace with red Picasso finish beads, would the finish make the necklace look bloodstained? Because if so, that would really fit a lot of your vampire heiress/suspicious murder mystery guest vibes with several of the outfits and costumes you've made, and that could be very fun.

In terms of "getting lost" with the pattern... my brain would be helped by colouring the pattern, (like we're seeing in the inserted pattern images) and taping labels beside the bead piles the same colour, with the size written as well, at least for a 1 or 2 colour project.
Colours "mean" something to my brain, while numbers are kind of nebulous to my memory.
I might group bead types by colour family. Warm colours are all round, blue are square, green is long... whatever feels vaguely intuitive.
