Did my microphone decide not to participate this week? Yes. Did my eyes still hurt from wearing makeup the first time so I couldn't re-record things? Also yes. Please forgive the sad audio bits!! It's just for the intro and goodbye that my mic decided not to join in 🙄
I start to wonder what they put in makeup today becouse I herd several youtubers have problems and well other must as well but if you not speak about it you kinda don't hear about it from them. Some just mention issues here and there bot say to much and some just been forced to stop mostly have make up on. It's wierd it seem to cause eye issues all as well. Me to lazy to use more then sometimes mascara nowdays (live with pain)so like follow make up tutorials to compensate my lack of my own.
Every time I watch you make one of these I'm tempted to go drop hundreds of dollars on beads and sequins. The only thing that stops me is that my craft/sewing hoard is already out of hand. Your insect brooches are just divine.
We need “Order of the beaded beetle” merch!!! Also, now I absolutely have to make a shield-shield beetle so I can be part of the order #orderofthebeadedbettle
I think your beetle pins with beaded strands in between are a beautiful power statement! I always enjoy my visits to your site. Your studio is a warm and welcoming place ✨️ 💕
Yet another stunning project! Your beetle sash looks great on the black jacket. It would be lovely on a dark green, very dark merlot, etc. My mind is just spinning with ideas. I am retired, disabled and really have no where to wear such a gorgeous ensemble. Sigh.... well - there is always the produce aisle of the local grocery store. 🥰. I love your work, your personality and your thoughtful, generous heart. 👍 Edit: I think a beaded sea horse or a beaded jelly fish would be lovely. I don't know about seahorses, but jellyfish can be deadly. So they would be in theme.
As a fellow disabled crafter with nowhere really to wear anything at this level, Ive been trying to embrace some advice I saw online which was that dressing up to create can help inspire you as can decorating with creations. I currently have some earings I made and love hanging off my blinds so I can look at them and enjoy and be inspired. I have a fear of ruining things I love so wearing such just to sit around making is hard on me but Ive heard others swear by it.
@@krose6451 Interesting. I shall have a try. I do have a color wheel made of all my distress inks that I have on the wall next to my chair. I love looking at it and it does make me smile and want to create.
I think that dressing up for yourself is important! I heard from a student who dropped off something at her teacher's house that she was greeted at the door by her well-dressed teacher. She was invited to come in and sit down while Miss X got some materials that the student needed. The dining room table was set with a lit candle. There was a lovely set of china and tableware on a nice table cloth. When she asked her teacher who was coming over, she said no one! She liked to do that at least once a week because she thought she deserved it! Why not!?! Same with clothes. Why not?!?
Love all your beaded projects! I'm a felter and have fallen in love with bead embroidery,I'm working on a white ghost cicada brooch Inspired by the cicada you made 💖
What a beautiful project! I love the heraldic style and the sash that joined them. For some reason, they reminded me of The Order Of The Honeybee, a group of Sir Terry Pratchett’s friends who were all given a honeybee pin after he passed away.
Your brooches are always so beautiful, I wish I'd have as much patience as you, because having such pretty thing would be so worth all the time spent on making it.
Love, love, love your beetle brooches - and any of your beaded/sequined insects & arachnids. Now to make the requirement to be eligible for the Order of the Beaded Beetle!
A friend sent me a "hey look at this cool praying mantis" text and I thought it was going to be an orchid mantis, but I'd been sent a spiny flower mantis! Beautiful bugs are cool!
I love the punny! This is a great collaboration of thought. I shall mightily resist temptation to join the order of the beaded beetle. Friends wedding planning, and classes steadily eating my time. Thank you for sharing ❤
OH MY❗️I cannot emphasize enough how much I enjoyed this❗️❗️❗️I am in absolute awe of this GORGEOUS, SUPER-CREATIVE PROJECT❗️ (and you are an amazing instructor… wow!!!) I cannot wait to watch you create more… create ANYTHING❗️im hooked🤘😍♥️
Ooooo, I love this! I think I'll have to join the Order and start working on my first beetle soon. I have tons of felt and tons of beads, tons of needles, too. The only thing is, I think I'll use nylon beading thread because some beads like bugles and charlottes can have sharp edges at the holes and easily cut regular sewing thread. If I didn't have tons of nylon beading thread, I'd probably use sewing thread, too, though. The diamond shaped bead in the center is called DiamonDuo and is just one of SO many cool two-hole beads you can get. They have a nice selection at Fire Mountain Gems. There's a half-round domed two-hole bead called a candy bead and a very neat paisley shaped one called a zoliduo. There are chevron and v-shapes, even a ginko bead! They come out with new shapes all the time. All the ones I've seen have flat bottoms, so they'll work for this kind of application just as well as bead weaving. Also, they make single rhinestones in metal pronged settings that are sewable and weavable called montees that come in all different colors and sizes.
Ooooh I love it! I think the two brooches with beads between of the Viking apron dress particularly lovely and the diagonal across is gorgeous too. There are some stunning crustaceans that would translate into your beading so well! I'm excited for all the beading!
I've binged all your brooch videos and it really made me want to get into embroidery/beading myself, though my friend was able to convince me to start small with a cross stitching kit first 😅 but have you ever considered making a bat brooch? I know you've tended to stick to bugs and I love your moth ones dearly, but a beaded black fluffy bat seems right up your alley
Wonderful work!! I love your beading videos because not only do you make beautiful items, you also give me great ideas of what I can do with beads and sequins. My job has me away from home every week. I really need to bring my beading supplies with me so I can make a beetle and join the order!
I love that modern crafting ilets you mix art forms. Unabashedly. I resisted crafting as it existed in my childhood but now it's called being a maker and it seems to not come with any ties to things like ceramics that you just paint by number or those little kids that cover their eyes in the corner in doll form which I never understood... And don't you dare worry about whether it's too punny it's like mixing the sacred with the profane but an away cooler way.
I so love these beadles and bugs, but I absolutely want to recreate this for a costume I have coming up. I knew it needed something, but this would just take it over the top! Thank you for the inspiration!
I'm several weeks behind on videos because i finally fixed a bracelet my ex made for me (just needed a new clasp) and naturally that led to me making a whole bunch of similar bracelets for friends... finally remembered RUclips exists (ADHD hyperfocus powers activate!) and first thing i do is come to check your channel and now you're just making the jewelry obsession stronger... 😮
Ive just finished making some crochet poppy broaches, red ones for the humans we remember and purple for all the animals used in wars. I also have a large butterfly broach nearly finished, just waiting for more of the pin things. I think i will try adding some beading to it. X
I really one try doing one, been enjoying all your videos as i hunt along my city for all the beads, felt and wires. Thank you for sharing this lovely work, keep it up. Black and green sounds gorgeous.
I would have totally made that shield beetle pun myself. It’s pretty puntastic. Your beadwork is so beautiful and I love these (even though actual bugs are still creepy) lol
I love it when I am watching someone else's video and they reference you as an inspiration. Videos like this one are why. Thanks for sharing your talent and love of fashion and all things dramatic!🖤🤍🖤🤍
Love, love, love your beetle project❤❤❤ going soon to watch any of your other videos! Lol I have made beaded lady bugs, alligators and a giraffe to name a few.that was a long time ago to but you have inspired me to make another stab ( haha) at it.thank you!
Dang! I've been itching to try one of these beaded insect brooches since the first video you made about them. Now I'm really going to have to do it. Those are gorgeous!
I LOVE these beetles! I immediately wanted to make some for my very own. However, the bee is my heraldic insect. Our last name means 'the place of the bee-keeper' in old Anglo-Saxon. I'm going to work on a bee shield and see what I can do. See how you've inspired me!
Lol I have no idea if it did or not my hearing aids decided because I was getting new ones next week they were not going to hang around for another week🙄🙄just as well I can watch without sound at times😹😹loved the beetles they looked cute🤗
Lol Bianca, you’ve read a little on heraldry……”punny” IS heraldry. I mean I guess it started out as a way for rich folks to tell who’s who and their background in the great breeding book that is the aristocracy, or who’s side one was currently on in battle, but in its latter days it was really a way for them to indulge a serious pun addiction….they thought it was “punny”(so sorry, I had to)
I might join the Order of the Beaded Beetle and debut my regalia at my wedding.... I deeply want to wear a tux with corset and cape, and I just think that an Order of the Beaded Beetle sash from one shoulder to the other would be so fitting. And it reminds me of the Irish saying "Aithníonn ciaraóg, ciaraóg eile"/"A beetle recognizes another", which more or less means "it takes one to know one." Since my husband and I are the perfect weirdos for one another, it would be perfect.... (also yes we are already courthouse-married, just haven't had the party yet!)
I loved these! I'm a sucker for anything fantasy, and these gave me massive fantasy vibes. Maybe the magically crafted familiars of a royal mage? Spies for the knights? Who knows. There are so many possibilities! On a side note though, I might just be missing it, but I can't find the link for the seed beads? They were a very pretty sparkly bead, and I would love to get my hands on them, or other similar ones

Ah, life always loves to throw us something unexpected. I'm sure we'll all recover from the "shock" of it all!😳😄
Dont worry. We all get betrayed by equipment sometimes. It isnt a big.
I really wish you could find some products that don't hurt! Unfortunately, there are so many manufacturers that the search could be very expensive 😟
I start to wonder what they put in makeup today becouse I herd several youtubers have problems and well other must as well but if you not speak about it you kinda don't hear about it from them. As I once said to a dear friend who does not swear, "Compost happens!" I have been saying that a lot lately!🫖📚🐈⬛🦢🌙🍅
Every time I watch you make one of these I'm tempted to go drop hundreds of dollars on beads and sequins. The only thing that stops me is that my craft/sewing hoard is already out of hand. Your insect brooches are just divine.
Thank you Tracia! Trust me I need to be BANNED from bead shopping ❤🤣
We need “Order of the beaded beetle” merch!!!
Also, now I absolutely have to make a shield-shield beetle so I can be part of the order #orderofthebeadedbettle
🛡️🪲😃
Let me think on that one 🧐🐞✨ And do ittt!
100% will purchase
We need to have The Order of the Shield Beetle. An heraldic representation of Queen Bianca's dark & shadowy realm.
I think your beetle pins with beaded strands in between are a beautiful power statement!

This teacher is my idol and is goals 🤩
Yeah we definitely need an order of the beaded beetle! Not sure how it would work but I'm game!
👍👍 a perfect truism; both Shield Beetle, and also Beetle Shield 😊👌 And they came out great 😃!
Thank you!! 🐞
Love all your beaded projects! I'm a felter and have fallen in love with bead embroidery,I'm working on a white ghost cicada brooch Inspired by the cicada you made 💖
Thank you Jessica! A ghost cicada is always a good idea!
What a beautiful project! I love the heraldic style and the sash that joined them. For some reason, they reminded me of The Order Of The Honeybee, a group of Sir Terry Pratchett’s friends who were all given a honeybee pin after he passed away.
I literally gasped at the final result, the brooch pinned onto your jacket. Stunning. Incredible handiwork.
Thank you!!
Now that sash is a bit of me, j'adore! There's something so majestically sparkly about it, with a touch of whimsy from the beetles
Must be majestically sparkly as often as possible! ❤
The stitches at the back of your beetle looks a hell of a lot neater than a lot of my stuff ever does!
I agree. I tried to sew up a hole in a pair of jeans that the back pocket had ripped off; not a good look!
Same. I've learned to just accept my backs for what they are, which is a mess! lol
The sequinning results in nice lines, the rest gets messy fast ha!
@@TheClosetHistorian I think maybe your "messy" and my messy are two very different creatures!
The hair! The makeup! The jewelry!! You looks stunning!!
I agree that dress in the movie is amazing. Beetles turned out great.
Thank you! I love all the costumes in that film 🤩
Another fabulous wow, I don't have words for how fantastic these are!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Robin!
A little this +a little that+ a splash of awesomeness = 100% TheClosetHistorian!😊
Your brooches are always so beautiful, I wish I'd have as much patience as you, because having such pretty thing would be so worth all the time spent on making it.

omg Bianca, I CANNOT WAIT for this next lookbook. I am always amazed at your creativity.
I can't wait to see the entire outfit these shield beetles are going to decorate! This part is looking good.
Thank you!!
A friend sent me a "hey look at this cool praying mantis" text and I thought it was going to be an orchid mantis, but I'd been sent a spiny flower mantis! Beautiful bugs are cool!
This was very vintage feeling. Also I'm in love with your make up!!
🤩 I love this idea! And gorgeous as always! I didn't even notice mic problems lol.
Thank you Reina!
I didn't either.
I love the punny! This is a great collaboration of thought. I shall mightily resist temptation to join the order of the beaded beetle. Friends wedding planning, and classes steadily eating my time. Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you Tiffany! I hope the classes and wedding both go well!
Love it! Can't wait to see the whole look book!
Thank you!

Thank you Suzanne! ❤️
*screams* These are stunning. Omg. I love them so much. They look so nice separately and connected. I love it!
Thank you! 😊✨
The textiles in Klimt paintings are my very favorite thing. Love how you’ve used that look in the beetle!
Thank you!!

Don't give me more ideas😇
Oooooh! Order of the Beadle! This is wonderful. Good job.

They turned out so great! I'm gonna need to bring out my beetle making stuff now. I really love the beaded strands connecting them.
Thank you Jen!

I didnt know about the purple poppy, that is very kind 💜
At least 8 million horses, mules and donkeys died during WW1, and many more dogs, pigeons and dolphins have died during wars.
I really one try doing one, been enjoying all your videos as i hunt along my city for all the beads, felt and wires. Thank you for sharing this lovely work, keep it up. Black and green sounds gorgeous.
Thank you! I wish I had a few more days in the week to make more of these!
This is great timing, I needed a kick to finish up my own beaded broach project!
Fun!
Thank you Ryan!
Thank you! 💝
It reminds me of Gustav Klimt. Beautiful!
I dont think i could ever make this my fingers will not let me anymore but i love watching you make them please keep doing it❤❤❤
Thank you Carol! I can report that my fingers get angry after a few hours of this nonsense as well 😅
i love them! they are soo round!

Thank you Dawn! Bee-keeper is a pretty excellent heritage!
Clever and beautiful!
Thank you!
Love this ❤❤
A beaded cicada just may need to be added to my project list😊
Thank you Amy! Got to love a beaded cicada!
So special! Heirlooms, I think you should embroider your initials on the under side.
Thank you! I need to get tiny labels made for the backs of these 😂
Very pretty 😀
Absolutely love these! Thank you for sharing. I think an obsession is forming ... :D
These look so pretty! I really do need to pull my finger out and get some beads and give it a go!
Thank you!
So gorgeous!!!
Thank you Emily!
Gorgeous as always!!❤❤❤
Thank you!
Incredible!
Thank you Lisa!
Love love love!!! 🪲
Thank you!
Wonderful.
Thank you!
Wow, those look stunning. There's a Gustav Klimt look about them...maybe the colors? In any case, like them a lot!
Thank you Rara!!
These are amazing
Thank you!
Lol I have no idea if it did or not my hearing aids decided because I was getting new ones next week they were not going to hang around for another week🙄🙄just as well I can watch without sound at times😹😹loved the beetles they looked cute🤗
Thank you! Hope the new ones arrive soon ✨
In a perfect world, where time and deadlines are irrelevant, a Patreon exclusive beaded bug kit for purchase would be so so so amazing. 🤟🏻
The amount of different beads needed would make things a bit difficult! Perhaps one day if I could find an excellent supplier!
So pretty ❤
Thank you!
Gorgeous!
Thank you!
I love these !
Thank you Blaise!
I am learning from watching you. I rarely used sequins though my mom did. I mostly use beads and ribbons.
i loveeee your beadwork so much, its so inspiring for me!!!
Thank you Ares!
Gorgeous ❤
Thank you Caroline!
If you start doing beaded sea life, I bet a jellyfish would be really cool.
Love the beading! so good just so good:) and yeah! I'm in!
Thank you Anthony!
Excellent
Thank you!
Magnificent
Thank you!
ORDER OF THE BEADED BEATLE 😍😍😍
❤️❤️❤️ Looooooove! ❤️❤️❤️
Lol Bianca, you’ve read a little on heraldry……”punny” IS heraldry. I mean I guess it started out as a way for rich folks to tell who’s who and their background in the great breeding book that is the aristocracy, or who’s side one was currently on in battle, but in its latter days it was really a way for them to indulge a serious pun addiction….they thought it was “punny”(so sorry, I had to)
Amazing
Thank you Debbie!
They would also work instead of tortoise brooches for a Viking-style apron dress!
Thank you! I always forget at least one link 😅 The charlotte cut seed beads were from this shop www.etsy.com/shop/SHEENBeads?ref=yr_purchases
Thank you for the link! Having a quick look the store really does have many beautiful beads. And don't worry about missing it, we're all human (or not, aliens and cryptids might like beading too), and part of that is sometimes forgetting things.
Love the Beatles....must give it a try
Thank you! Do ittt!
Very Anglo Saxon/Viking . Except they had turtle brooches ;-D This is quite fun and really transforms the garment.
Thank you!
Before I commit to the order, is there going to be a secret handshake? I'm not learning any silly handshake.
The new beetle is another stunning piece!
No handshakes, just accessories 😂🐞
Thank you!
So cool I wanna try and make a lil spider thanks for the inspiration I’m gunna go find your spider video you said you made tytyty
I am voicing my support for a crab pin. Im sure it would be just as amazing as all the rest. I still rather desperately want to make a spider pin myself. And a bat.
I need a bat too, love a bat buddy 🦇
