"becuase after making a full garment out of these same filigree connectors recently." EXCUSE ME, we don't get to just gloss over THIS very important information!!!! Can not WAIT for your look book!!!!!!!!!!
As others have also pointed out, I actually really enjoy your style of explaining things! I totally understand the desire to be “better”, but I think we all love that you’re not just a sterile how-to voiceover :)
Why have you on mute when I can hear descriptions as prefect as 'dangley dodads' ? I actually really enjoy your play by play and chatter on projects. I talk much the same way and love hearing it from sometime else.
Oh my goodness. Thank you for the inspiration. I have collected a lot of filigree and beads over the years, usually using just 1-3 pieces of filigree in my pieces, but getting packs of many so I have a lot in my craft room. These are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for another stunning video. I am 66 years of age and am so inspired, by you, to be more daring in my creativity. I, totally, love your style!💕
Totally of topic, but this weekend I made a dress and I completely changed the pattern and shifted the darts. I knew I had to that and how to do that thanks to your videos! I felt like a proper seamstress 🤗. So thank you!
Love these! Now I feel like getting out my 47 boxes of bead supplies and making some dangly doo-dads… Can’t wait to see your look book. Thanks, Bianca.
1. You so badly need a one step looper for things like this! I know you are clearly very practiced at making loops, but it just makes things so much easier! 2. I think it's adorable how much you say 'I don't really know why I am trying to explain this to you, you can see what I'm doing' 🥰 Please stop putting yourself down though - it's really helpful to have the voiceover to know what size jumprings you are using and how you are attaching the bits together. Also those necklaces look absolutely stunning on you, and I shall definitely be making a version for myself, so thank you 💜
And this is the point where I turn deep green with envy at all of you who do not have the nutso metal allergies I do. Those are gorgeous! I will again live vicariously--thank you for sharing and allowing me to do so! 😃
Titanium might not ping your allergies ... it's more expensive and hard to work with, but if it's ok for you it might be worth it. Most chain mail suppliers will carry titanium rings ... my favorite but completely non-affiliated supplier is The Ring Lord. There might also be plastic filigree pieces, or you could 3D print them.
Assuming that you are allergic to every metal in the world: have you heard of tatting? It's a way to make lace by tying knots. It's really labor intensive, but is really sturdy. I bet you could incorporate beads into that as well. In addition, you could make a friendship bracelet style choker in all sorts of patterns. (Same type of knots as tatting, actually.) You could also crochet and make cool things with that.
@@alisa9040 I've not tested every thing in the world, but basically high quality white gold is about the only thing that will not cause my special snowflake skin to freak out. So I'm expensive. 😂 I do know what tatting is and I knit (and, yes, sometimes the needles make my hands angry) and weave bands, so, yes I could stop whining and do something about it. 😉
@@lizcademy4809 I haven't tried titanium. Is that the metal that they basically need the jaws of life to break if you need to have a ring or something removed in an emergency?
@@VeretenoVids I don't know about that ... titanium is very hard and brittle, so I don't think it would make a good safety ring. When my daughter was in her high school Goth phase, and I taught her how to make chainmail, she made a "permie" choker for herself. I insisted (and she understood why) that she close it with a single red ring, the only one on the choker. It was aluminum, could be twisted off by strong hands if necessary, and the rest of her work would not be ruined. She did not have metal allergies to worry about.
The Chain Mail Lady of Arisia approves. For about 10 years I taught chainmail at the SF con Arisia. [I also have a self-published book out there, though I don't mean this post to be a plug.] My classes focused on the basics ... using the techniques with beads and filigree. is a wonderful extension of the techniques.
Gosh, you really know how to build up the interest before the grand reveal! I can't WAIT to see the final look book, all the details that you've shown us are so beautiful and interesting!!
The necklaces are so gorgeous, they both have such immaculate goth vibes!! I absolutely love the red squares you made for the second necklace : 0 I recently started learning jewelry making (to add to my one trillion crafts) to justify collecting shiny sparkly beads and findings! xp
IMO and this just may be my ADD but honestly your tutorials are some of the best here on YT. To me everything is very clearly explained and makes sense, you show as well as described what you were doing and the little bit of chatter just makes it feel more natural as if I happen to be in the studio with you verses the other side of a screen. Okay now to the pretty shiny things, I just love that brass and green combo and that gunmetal and red screams goth. I personally would have played with resin on the dangles as they remind me of stained glass windows. I so cannot wait for this look book. And don’t feel bad about the hair, I haven’t had a hair cut other than the dead trim I give myself for about a year now lol.
Very attractive, and a must for the Goth about town! The metal colours and overall structures of the pieces are really cool. It looks so good! The flashes of red from the garnet coloured beads in the quatrefoil necklace sets it off effectively
Lemme tell you, I scrolled back like a solid 8-10 times to see "sure you will kid" :D When I read chainmail, I thought you will put together the necklace from those circular small metal pieces 1 by 1
You continue to become more beautiful and sophisticated over time. Your look and style are never an issue. Loving the necklaces. The brass and black gives me vineyard vibes....??? 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I follow several jewelry makers, and I think the narration is most of what I love about it. It's fascinating to hear the creator's thought processes as they work. These turned out beautifully! New subscriber.
Your explanation makes sense to me. I even got the battleship reference! one of my kids did the goth look for a few years. He grew out of it. I was a kid before goth but mostly wore dark colours. Still do. I'm melting in this heat dome! The necklaces are amazing! I love your designs!
definitely catching my now inner vampire/goth lol...i used to love making these, well similar style in the 80's...yours are very beautiful, i like the colours glass...tfs:)
Oooh, the diamond motif reminds me of an old-timey clown or a joker, that kind of makes me want to design a high-fashion jester/clown masquerade outfit featuring a necklace like this….
This comes just as I was thinking about making chailmail jewelry again (like thinking again, not making again ^^) because I have actually finished all the things I said I should before buying new supplies 🙃 Now I just have to do it. I love all your lookbooks but after the two lasts videos, I think this will be my absolute favorite, because gothy-medieval things 🖤
I was also a kid who made beaded jewelry, so this was very satisfying to watch :) Also, my sister just finished making herself full-on chainmail armor, and it's so cool! And heavy. Extremely heavy 😂
Agreed, please keep talking through the videos. Quite a few of us (I think) watch these as entertainment while working on our own projects - not necessarily as tutorials. Probably, because it feels a bit like being part of a group of like-minded people that way. Although I'm sorely tempted to make something like this as a belt now...😎
This may become obvious later in the vid but why 2 of the big rings at once? Function or just aesthetic? Im curious as id love to use some of my bead stash for something like this 😊
Who knew chainmail could be so decorative? Trust you to dream of such things! 😊 Did you plan out your design first or just go where the findings led you?
I really want to make a bunch of these! How do you keep them from tarnishing when they aren't fine metal? I have lost a lot of beautiful pieces that I have made because they have turned black/green/brown.
"becuase after making a full garment out of these same filigree connectors recently." EXCUSE ME, we don't get to just gloss over THIS very important information!!!! Can not WAIT for your look book!!!!!!!!!!
I love the different projects you do, life is too short to not try everything you can and the result was as beautiful as ever.
I think the narration is part of why I watch all your videos!
I feel like making a necklace like one of these would really help me justify my crafty material hoarder tendencies.
That or it'd finally free the hoarder goblin that's in you. WE LIKE OUR PRECIOUSSSS

Only the most technical of descriptions over here ❤
hard same - I swear, Bianca's voiceover is the best part of the videos
Doodad is such a useful word! Right up there with "thingy".
As an adult, I still love a craft kit ❤❤ Beautiful work! Can't wait to see your lookbook!

it’s cool seeing how such simple parts can be used to create a necklace that looks so high end and expensive. you did an amazing job!
Totally of topic, but this weekend I made a dress and I completely changed the pattern and shifted the darts. I knew I had to that and how to do that thanks to your videos! I felt like a proper seamstress 🤗. So thank you!

the Antique brass with green beads is my favorite. They are very lovely and flattering. I love them.

Perhaps this should be called the Jump Ring necklace
How very rewarding and enjoyable this must have been for you. Jewelry making can easily go down a very deep hole.
Both necklaces are really lovely, difficult to decide on a favourite though! Looking forward to watching the drama when all is ready.

Hi Bianca. You look stunning in your necklaces x
this is absolutely gorgeous! i've always wanted to make my owl jewellery and you make it accessible
