Have I already seen this video? yes. Will I watch it anyway because it looks amazing and it's just relaxing to watch while crocheting? also yes. I love you digging up those videos cause while I watched them all, it's fun to rewatch some of these beauties.
Bianca! I did my first slash and spread the other day (to make a massive floopy sleeve) feeling confident because of you! I now have a beautiful floopy sleeved viscose top to wear to my aunt's ordination in June 😊 Thank you 🎉
WOW!!! Bianca, you totally rock the glam gown look! ❤ Absolutely amazing. So what if you don't go anywhere requiring an evening gown? Wear it to watch TV! 😁 You'll be the most glamorous thing in the house! 😍
I love the *idea* of wearing my nice clothes at home... I get momentarily excited every time I encounter the idea. but removing cat hair from them, or denying kitteh snuggles while I'm watching TV just aren't options I'm willing to accept. Ahhh well...
Have you ever seen a film called My Man Godfrey? Not a noir, but stuffed full of glorious early 1930s fashion, and it's surprisingly progressive for its time in the way it skewers the disparity between the haves and the have-nots in the Great Depression. Come for the costumes, stay for the social commentary, I guess!
A classic dress! You've worked with so many knits since this project. And to answer your questions from years past, I tend to watch RUclips videos on my TV. I use an old Google Chromecast. It's extra nice for sewing videos, you get a lot of details!
I watch RUclips for entertainment and company. Listening to Bianca working in the background as I do something else, dishes, sewing, folding laundry etc is just nice.
I gotta admit, my solution to a leaking steam iron has always been a spray bottle of water. I'm still using my mom's old iron that hasn't done steam the entire time I've been alive, so I'm used to doing it the other way 😂
I remember! Sometimes I forget that you've always been glamorous but you really kicked up a notch by making "the Millionaire Milliner" film. The story, music and of course you acting was off the chart. Unfortunately I don't have what it takes to wear the gown, but I love seeing it created. ❤❤❤🥰❤❤❤
Nearly choked on my tea when I heard the short film was uh... unimpressive... Bwahaha! Premiere screenings are often the first and only time the crew will ever see this film shown - because it will never again see the light of day. There are some absolute gems... but...
This is a beautiful gown....... on the subject of vintage films to see their wonderful clothes, I really enjoyed Mildred Peirce, both the vintage and the more modern film, and I love the outfits , and have copied some of them, using YOUR directions for drafting / copying a vintage pattern.
Omg!! I just found your channel a few days ago and already binge watched so much. 😊 I’m delighted to see a new video!! You are so skilled and creative, and the shiny, glimmering fabrics you use are so eye-catching. Thank you for sharing your lovely creations with us.
@@TheClosetHistorian My eldest son thought she was incredibly beautiful. She was a Montana girl. I gave him 'The Thin Man' series for Christmas one year.

Your pattern making amazes me. You are a master and I love your work, although this one wasn’t one of my favorites. Congratulations just the same on a job well done.
funny i lived in Canyon Country in 2008. i had family around but i was lonely too. your not sewing over the pins here. this dress is GORGEOUS!!! you could go to the opera
So funny what you said about L.A. When I was there in 1999/2000, I remember this one party where I kept getting hit with the same three questions from all the guys: what job do you? what car do you drive? & where do you live? lolz.. great dress looking forward to seeing what you do with it next .. ❤
not me thinking "what? a new miss bianca video? but it isn't thursday!!!" only to look at my calendar and be stunned that it is, in fact, thursday what a beautiful golden gown!!! you look so lovely as always
I have found that if you fill your iron to the fill line with water it will dribble every time. An easy fix is to not fill the iron all the way. Hope this helps 😊
Favorite Noir for me is “Laura”. If you like outfits, Gene Tierney’s husband Oleg Cassini designed all her costumes for her films. Also “Where the Sidewalk Ends”
Now that's a nice little slit! Perfect for a long stride. But no arachnid on the shoulder?? I think you should wear that gorgeous dress when you inform your cats that you are all moving to a beautiful Victorian mansion. And then you go out the door to the closing of your new house! Afterward, you hit the town to celebrate with your realtor, the seller, and your new architect.
I switched to an industrial steam iron for the same reason. Bought it brand new and was actually 20% less cheaper than my previous one. Never had the same issue again and I actually started to enjoy ironing.
Do you have homes for all your finished embroidery projects? The "blank" spot you asked about could be a good display option perhaps even rotating them if you wanted.
I can't afford to be a patron 😢, so I love this glimpse at what is behind the pay wall. This dress is so beautiful and glamours on you! Please get some rest and some writing time I will be here waiting for you.☺️♥️
I have a technical question regarding dolman/batwing sleeves. Some draw the shoulder/sleeve line at an angle instead of a straight line. How is that different when it comes to fit? Thanks
You have inspired me to get serious about making my own clothes. Have managed 2 dresses and a skirt, about to tackle a pants pattern. Please tell me why the zip is inserted nearly last? Surely it is easier to sew while flat, then do the side seams after that? Is there a reason I am missing?
Hi, I'm pretty certain that I answered your question about my favorite Film Noir back when this dress was new, but I'll answer again as it hasn't changed. It's The Seventh Seal, directed by a very young Ingmar Bergman. The lack of nice clothes to pull from that one is even more meager than from The Maltese Falcon, as it takes place in the age of the first pandemic Black Death in history, and in rural Sweden no less. No interesting dress at all, unless you count Max von Sydow's Death costume. Other than that it's another case of where are time running to. It wasn't that long ago you made that necklace you're wearing in the original outro. Except it must have been, and I've misplaced some years somewhere. Very aggravating. I hope you have a good time looking at houses, and that you will tell us all about it in due course.Yours, Ann
I have a funny story about LA. I was a character actor for a music video (I did it for a friend of a friend), and the director came over to me, and asked: “so, who do you know?” My jaw about hit the floor. Is that how people in LA ask you things like: “so, what are your hobbies?”, or “so, what do you do for a living?” I said, “I know that guy over there (my friend), I know my family, and I guess I know you now. Who am I supposed to know? What a weird question!” Yeah, I made the guy feel like a dope for asking such a petty, industry question. I have family in Orange County, and I have never been asked that before. I did get hit on my a magician once at the Magic Castle, but he was a creep. I guess that’s par the course at the Castle, though, from what I’ve read.
I enjoy all the Bogie and Bacall Noir films if you're looking for recs. Also, if it interests you I would love a video dedicated to Noir films and outfits you love.
