Extraordinary, my dear. The French knots bring a fuzzy organic taste, just lovely. I watched Bladerunner last weekend thinking of your inspiring fashion. Thank you for sharing your art with us.
Oh, this took me back. Like way back! In the early 70s I used to help my dad by sorting out resistors, transistors, condensers, and other solid state electronic parts. You captured the colours and designs perfectly. I really appreciate how you translate an ideal into your own fashion style. Very satisfying to watch and challenging to think about. I'm really looking forward to the future bug/beetle works. How do you come up with these ideas?
Obsessed!!! I just rewatched the original Beadle & Spider videos yesterday night! Thank you for all the fab content and inspiration. I’ve been thinking about anatomical human heart brooch lately. Hint hint 🫀💋
As someone that's into sewing and does electronics for their job, this is such an amazing mix of the two and I almost feel like this video was made for me 😂 I'll have to make myself one as a momento at some stage 🥰 And you did a great job by the way, definitely a fantastic interpretation of circuitry and components 😁
BT-11 is perfect and I love him. Seriously, this is so beautiful. He would looks stellar on most if not all of the Shine collection! You make me want to venture into brooch making.
I like these kinds of bugs. NO OTHER in real life. FYI. I couldn’t tell if you had kids playing/screaming in the background as I have had to put headphones on due to the kids playing screaming outside my townhouse window. Life in the summer. It’s kinds nice to hear the kids playing again. Last couple years they were not outside much.
I renounce my love of your previous headed beetles! I embrace you replicator beetle! Star Wars or Star Gate, this circuit board beeded beetle is outstanding!!!!! So many exclamation points. Sigh.... Couldn't help myself.
"chaton" is the French word for kitten--because of the pointy bottom of the stone, which creates a form that is vaguely the shape of a kitten's head. How appropriate for you! Your sparkly circuit-board beetle is fabulous.
Hello, I learned to sew on a machine like your old singer, many years ago. I sewed on and off for a few years and got back into it at the beginning of this year in a big way. I have been watching your videos; they have inspired, taught, and entertained me. Thank you so much for giving me the tools and confidence to sew again, and now I am drafting my own patterns because of your good work. I really thank you . From Peta in the UK, Wales to be exact. xx
After doing some painting today, Im inspired to "paint" with thread. Sadly, my body isn't having it so Im watching this lovely piece come together to kind of scratch that creative itch. Sometimes when your health won't let you do its nice to watch others get to. ❤
you surely are first and foremost a visual artist and poet. what imagination, you pulling from the Source! and green IS your color - the color of re-generation, and boy humanity needs that now!!
I love all your beetlebrooches! As long as it ONLY takes a day to make them, you could make lots and we could buy them. They are the only bug I'd ever consider wearing. LoL
I totally understand, but you are marvelous! Just kidding on the brooches, I love you're sewing and let's face it where there is sewing, there's laundry. Keep up the good work!
I so know what you mean about having the metals in accessories match. I wear glasses, and HAVE to match them to not only the metal in my accessories, but also the era of my outfit. I've enjoyed watching all your brooch videos!
I love the bugs AKA beetles. This is just what I was looking for because I'm Bead embroidering a Egyptian still necklace and wanted a scarab accent. Ty for the tutorials.
I love how you know what size your beads are... I've never once seen anything other than "seed bead" listed on any label of any beads I've ever bought (and I've been buying beads for... oh gods, about 40 years now)... so I've got regular seed beads, fat seed beads, too fat to be actual seed beads, and super tiny seed beads in my collection, plus the usual cut beads, bugle beads and other things for embellishments. I never really played with sequins but you're making me want to try. I think my favourite thing I've ever beaded was a necklace that was a silver spiderweb in the ultratiny beads with a black 3d spider in the iridescent ultratiny beads, hanging from a "thread" near the centre of the web, back foot out letting the web out and everything. I have a handful of unused little resistors, I think if I ever did a recon beetle I'd figure out how to work their coloured bands into the design concept.
They sell them by size on most of the etsy shops I grab beads from I suppose! I really like DIYBeadsStore for example 😍 www.etsy.com/shop/DiyBeadsStore I would love to use real resistors and such, I need to find some inexpensive salvage 😂
THANK YOU! I simply love your bugs & displays you make! Your so creative and talented I appreciate everything that you do and I find myself working to be a better seamstress.
What a fun project! Once again living vicariously--I have such a squirrel brain that I can't wear broaches--they distract me every time I move. 😂 (Yes, issues, I may have them. 😉)
That was really "all that!" To see this beetle come together! Such a clever use of the co mm outer motherboard idea for colors. I really want to explore doing one .... But a spider something bit my finger so it will have to wait a day. Spider in the grass. Yikes! Thanks for sharing! 🤖👾👾🤖Xo J.
Hello- You mentioned a wire idea- I forget which video- But I was removing wire from some ribbon- & thought this maybe an idea to use. Thank you for all your videos- LOVE them!!x
really enjoyed this make!! I might have glued the last backing layer but it really looks computer ish and sci fi as well, plus I love the color and glitz
Ah! The French knot! I remember getting embroidery kits (this is pre internet 😕) and, inevitably, there would be certain parts of the guide that asked for French knots. The best I found was illustrated instructions, but I could never get it to work. It's like my embroidery white whale!
This turned out so cool! As though it had started out as circuitry, and then went feral. "Variegated" might be the word you're looking for at 6:15, by the way.
Are you a mind reader Bianca? I'm working on yet another project inspired by you and here you are AGAIN with a related video for me to watch. Every time you make one of these brooches I'm blown away by how cool they are so I had to try it myself. And please wish me luck haha; I'm making a wedding gift 😬
"my broach taking off from my shoulder and doing recon" had me in stitches ! I want a lil robo broach in real life now !! Could you do a slow mo of how to do french knots? I would love to learn how to do it
If Klimt painted beetles, this would be it! It's delightful.
Yes! Exactly!
Thank you Gillian!!
Yours are the ONLY kind of beetles and bugs that I like and could be in the same room with! Lol. Bianca, you are sooooo talented!
Thank you Suzanne! I would f r e a k o u t if I saw a real beetle as big as these brooches 😅😂
Extraordinary, my dear. The French knots bring a fuzzy organic taste, just lovely. I watched Bladerunner last weekend thinking of your inspiring fashion. Thank you for sharing your art with us.
Thank you Susan! ❤️
Love! Bianca, can you, in the in the future, venture into a dragonfly? They are my fav.bug and would enjoy watching your take. If so... thanks!
Ooooh!
That would be fun to see how you would address the iridescent wings.

A steampunk beaded beetle?! I may have to get a few materials to give that one a try! Thanks for the ideas, inspiration, and tips!
Thank you! I may do a steampunk moth hmm
Love this - I always think of you when I come across old beads in my stash of vintage sewing supplies.
Thank you Tracey!
Oh my goodness Bianca, he is BRILLIANT and you are a GENIUS!!!! 😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩 Lynne
Thank you Lynne!
Live long and prosper BT-11! Beautiful 💚
Kids and kittens playing in the background = happy sounds that make me smile 😊
This is such a cute idea! I can totally see something like this existing in the Star Wars universe 😍
Thank you! 🚀
BT-11 is perfect and I love him.

Another fabulous DIY broach!! Your organic approach to the bead designs is very refreshing. Those giant wing-like earrings are amazing as well!
Thank you Rachel! Earrings were from this etsy shop www.etsy.com/shop/BatDogJewelryDesign

Lovely. I cannot unsee Gustav Klimt, once you mentioned him, in the bodice of the beetle. And I think that is wonderful!
Thank you Marjon!
I think these bug brooches are my favorites of your videos. Of course, it's always fun watching a project come together, but these guys are so unique!
Thank you!
BT11 is adorable! I kept thinking of the scene in Glass Bottom Boat when Dom DeLuise's character has to eat his olive robot.😆
Those earrings are perfection!
Thank you! www.etsy.com/shop/BatDogJewelryDesign
Beautiful BT11!🪲❤
Thank you for your awesome and inspiring videos! ❤️

Thank you Alexandra!
So fabulous. Love the transformation from beads to beetle.

Thank you Beth! 💚
LOL, I can see you've been having fun with the kitties!!!
Indeed! I try to break up play fights and lose 😅
Bianca's beetles are so cool! They are the only insects allowed in my house. Would love to see a little R2D2.😀
Love watching you create,
