Making a Brooch Terrarium // A Museum Inspired Display

- I do love a natural history museum, and a vintage store, so this was my way of beginning to combine the two! A fun way to display brooches that keeps them on show, but also safe from dust under a giant dome of glass. The only trouble is now I'd like a few more terrariums like this!

But wait there's more! A PO BOX finally wahoo!
First, a disclaimer: So many of you have kindly offered to send me things, including vintage items you may have inherited, and I am so honored you would think of me and of course I do adore vintage treasures, however, unfortunately I only have so much storage space currently! So there is a chance that if something just wont work for me, or doesn't fit me etc, that I may not be able to keep all of your lovely things. Please only send things if you are okay with the possibility that I may donate items I just cannot keep. If you would prefer I put things that I can't keep into the TCH Etsy shop to help raise funds for me and the channel, please specify this in a note or letter in your parcel. Thank you so much!

Thank you for watching!
I love this "habitat" you made for your bugs. Yours look every bit as amazing, if not more so, as the store bought ones. You are an extremely talented gal.
Thank you Paula!
These brooches and their displays are officially my new hobby.
Me too, I need to stoppp 😂
It will be interesting to observe the effects when the two types of beetles breed a new generation. Lovely idea.
Fun idea for a short story 🙂
Such a creative way to keep treasures dust free. LOVE it!
Thank you Dannie!
I loved this project. After putting in so much effort into making your broaches it’s nice to have a special place to display them.
Thank you Barbara!
This is such a great idea. I just inherited my grandma's collection of bug brooches and pins and this is the perfect way to display them, especially since she'd always take me to Natural History and bug museums.
Your aesthetic in these latest videos is delicious! Love the antique, gothic, mossy, dark academia...anyway LOVELY. Great job.
Thank you Elaine!
Happy New Year, Bianca. I'm glad you kept the hair and eyes for multiple videos... the look is so good it deserves to be seen more than once. You've given me the bug for making seed beaded bugs. My daughter-in-law is a big brooch wearer, so I made her a glittery dung beetle for xmas (she's from a family of dairy farmers and dung beetles are very important for them) and am halfway through a fantasy butterfly for her upcoming bday. Love the display.
Thank you! I can't stop making them, it's my new obsessive hobby 😅
@@TheClosetHistorian They are just soooo good. It's summer here and hot as heck, so sitting quietly in front of the aircon seed beading is quite soothing.
How beautiful. I love clothes and this is perfect to put brooches of any king in. I love your beetle 🪲 videos. I may even try making one some day. Hope you make more. Fun to watch.
Thank you Karen!
This is such a wonderful idea. The perfect place for all your bugs!
Excellent... and most inspiring. What is an exceptionally lovely way to display your brooches.
Thank you!

Have a great new year Bianca!
Thank you Joelle! Hope you have a great year as well ✨
Your beauty is outshone only by your talents. Loved the 'do' and make-up. Superb outcome for this project. 🦘🦘
Thank you Elizabeth ❤
So gorgeous--wot larks! It's a wonderful nod to the somewhat odd aesthetic of the Victorians--I love it!
Thank you Kelly!
Beautiful little project. Having things on display always gives added joy, I think, as you get to see them more often.
Thank you Kaytie! I have been enjoying having them around me in my room, like pets I don't have to remember to feed 😂
Perfect! Your video showed up just as I was tucking into stuffed sopas for lunch 😋 your project turned out amazing 🖤🖤🖤 I really like the idea of twinkle lights too
Thank you Susan!
Love this one so much and you really suit your hair in that style very classy ❤️
Thank you Julia!
First of all, you look amazing. Painted lady par excellence. Secondly, love, love, love your forested, fauna-ed cloche. What a talented creature you are.
Thank you Nancy!
What a fun way to display your wearable art! Thanks for sharing
Thank you!
Beautiful as ever! And your terrarium is quite a showcase for your bug pretties.
Thank you Anita!
Delightful as always. Literally LOL'd with the terrainium explanation.
Thank you Ann!
i feel like you should know: i genuinely can't tell the difference between the Trovelore brooches and the ones you made. both the brooches and the terrarium are gorgeous!!!
Aw thank you! 🐞✨
Oooo….I adore your hair and makeup today!! Stunning!!
Also digging the project and I am a huge fan of cloches too. They are just so darn cool and your insect brooches are so worthy of such a display.
Thank you Robin! 🐞
Gorgeous! I have been struggling to find a way to display my brooches without them becoming cat toys and now you have given me two possible solutions! Thank you!!
Thank you Elisabeth! My cat does not seem interested in these even to gaze into it's true, though he usually just wants water, so everything else is unimportant to him ❤
WOW! You are a woman of many talents! This is fabulous.
Thank you Alison!
Stunning genius idea to display brooch collections!!!Q
Thanks Thea!
This is so beautiful.Your so inventive in making your ideas a reality.
Thank you Maureen!
I love your hair, make-up and your beetles!! So beautiful!! I would love something like that filled with different spiders, have you done a tut on spiders??
Just really gorgeous all around, I envy your skill and creativity! :+) You are truly blessed!!
Thank you! A spider will be coming soon!
@@TheClosetHistorian OOH-I look forward to that!! I love them! :+)

Thank you Valerie!
Hi Bianca!! Happy New Year to you.. I’m loving how this habitat turned out for the bugs.. Also good way of keeping them clean & dust free.. Your makeup is still spot on for this video….
💜💜💜🧵🧵🧵
Thank you Deana!
You are amazing! You are gifted with such creativity. You have worked hard to get your skills to put your ideas to life. I must admit, if I see an idea I like, I can usually duplicate it. It is not as perfect as the inspiration piece. It usually is very different, not on purpose. Because my skills just are not as finely honed as the artist. I Love your beetles. I won't even try them. I will have to work on beading skills for a bit first. I giggled when I saw the title. Both the ribbon box and the terrarium are brilliant and relatively doable. I was excited when I saw yet another idea I loved and could make my own. Thank you for sharing. FYI wether you are glam to the max or every day or weary traveler..... You are beautiful. It is the kind and generous heart that makes you beautiful. The outside is very, very, very pretty. Indeed. But the internal stuff that makes you, you, is what generates that glow that draws us in. I am so blessed to have access to your videos. 😊
Thank you! ❤❤❤
What a creative idea. Your bug habitat looks wonderful :D thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
Oh my goodness--you look amazing. Now to watch the video!
Thank you! 😊

Let's all hope for a better 2022 than 2021. Happy New Year to you and everybody else who happen to read this. Yours, Ann
Thank you Ann! Happy New Year!
aaaaaaAAAaGh so creative and adorable! It would work for a flower brooch collection too, I bet. Not that I have either, but what a snazzy idea 💕
Thank you! Yes definitely good for flowers! or birds? an interpretive seaweed one for fish?
This turned out beautifully
Thank you!
Okay.... This idea was so cool ! I adore your videos and the shots of collections in your room
Thank you Dianne!
You are very talented! Love watching your videos! Very inspiring! Thank you for sharing! 🤗😍
Thank you Elizabeth!
Looks just like some from a cabinet of curiosities; very lovely.
This video also jump started my need to make a room of/shadow of frame for my vintage Xmas pins. I’ve been noodling on making one and your ingenious scene has sparked my creativity. Now to the sketchbook of doom and lost ideas to design it.
Thank you and best wishes for the coming new year.
Thank you Yalissa!
This is a really gorgeous result! I love the added benefit of protecting them from dust, and keeping your treasures visible at the same time (curse that whole 'out of sight out of mind' thing..)
This is so beautiful and creative. This made me smile
Thank you Suzanne!
Mad skills, woman!
That’s so cool……and thanks for the vid at this time of year. A very pretty, practical and clever storage/display idea.
Thank you!
This is incredible...so creative and inspiring. The whole gallery display. I am now going to use the word Terrainium. (and give you cred of course).
Thank you!
This was so whimsical and fun! I love having my jewelry around me so I remember to grab them ,and this is a great display for grabbing and going!
Thank you Katherine! With the bugs it's making me feel like I have very static pets I don't have to remember to feed 😂
Very nice , creative juices flowing
Thank you Lois!
Beadleful and mothalous! Love your creativity!
Thank you Lauren!
Had a little giggle as you were explaining your logic with terrain-ium. I totally followed you down that rabbit hole. Lol. Love your videos!
Thank you! I mean terrain=terranium come oooon 😅
This is such a fun idea. I love it. 🪲🐞🦋
Thank you Kelli!

Thank you Lorna! 💜
I love how this turned out!
Thank you!
I love this so much! You are so creative. Hopefully one day I could put my things so beautifully but now they are in a box and it's a shame.
I just love to watch your videos.
Thank you Jenni! I assure you there were years when I too had boxes of shame in the studio 😂
Loving your look in this video 🖤
You are just so creative and inspiring!
The more I watch your channel, the I love it. Happy New Year!
Thank you Barbara!
Thanks to YOU I am currently working on my 1st beaded pin... Possible necklace a Luna Moth. Thanks for the inspiration!
A luna moth would be so so lovely!

Thank you Beth! Happy 2022!
I love it! You are so creative. You could even add twinkle lights. xo
Thank you Gwen!
I love your beetles and other buggy pins😍🤩, If you could be persuaded to make more to sell them I would pay for one 😉 . Their home in a terrarium is just perfection !
Thank you!
Another inspired creation. Wishing you and yours a very happy and healthy new year. 🎆🎉🍾
Thank you Susan!
This is such a neat idea.
Thank you Kirsten!
This was a very cool creative project! ** Hope you and your family are safe, far away from the wildfires!
Thank you Christine! Not near that area no, we're all good here, though the devastation is very sad of course for all effected ❤
@@TheClosetHistorianthank you for replying; I worry about friends far away - including my RUclips creator pals - when there is danger afoot. Phew! This is a big relief!
Very pretty and cool.
Thank you!
Happy New Year 🎇
Very pretty. For a moment there I was disappointed, that you wouldn't use real moss, but the yarn worked out really well. Very surprising and esthetically pleasing result.
Thank you Rara! I originally considered real moss, but becuase I take the glass off and on all the time I think unless I really glued it all down very securely it would end up quite messy unfortunately!
Happy New Year Bianca - Hope you, family and friends are safe and have not been affected by recent events in Colorado. I really enjoy watching your creative adventures.
Thank you Fay! Luckily my family and I are all safe after CO's indeed tragic start to 2022 ❤
Yes!!! Excellent!
That is so beautiful!
Thank you!
What a fun project and the beetles are so lovely. Happy New Year to you too, lady!

Very nice crafty lady! I think the terrarium idea is fantastic; I must have one of these.

xoxo's Sandie
Thank you Sandie! Happy New Year ✨
Happy New Year lovely! That is an amazing idea... Absolutely love it! It looks STUNNING and what an inspired way to store your gorgeous brooches. Little works of art hun! Xxxxxxxxx
Thank you Emma!
I love this so much. I need to do something similar for my scarab jewelry collection! Maybe more a desert oasis theme... hmm...
Yes a desert would be awesome! Dry "branches" with sand, felt "rocks", or even a crumbly piece of an artifact as a pedestal 😍
@@TheClosetHistorian Oooh, yes! I could maybe make a resin or felt "column" with the lotus blossom top like on temples... You're a genius!
Beautiful Display !!! Good Job !!! Have a Wonderful, Safe, and Happy New Year !!! 🥳🍾🥂🎉🎊
Thank you Dolores!
So pretty, love how creative you are, hope you have an amazing 2022. 💖

Loving your hair and make up today :-) & your bug brooch display is just awesome
Thank you!
That is such a clever idea. I now know some of my 2022 projects are going to be - moths, ladybugs, bees, spiders and beetles with their own terrarium homes. Thank you so much for sharing this idea.
Thank you Sherry!
This is giving me such inspiration for my own brooch collection
Thank you Johanna!
