Since folks seemed to enjoy this moth buddy, I recently made a cicada friend using a similar color palette you can see here ruclips.net/video/4lGshWYwdaM/видео.html 💚🧵
Watching this makes me realize that I absolutely do not have the patience for beading. I barely have the patience for embroidery. But your INTRO LOOK. The hair, the wrap, the makeup, the shirt... It is *exquisite*.
So adorable! Would love to see your entire collection of "beadles," moths, and spiders 😊 I hope you're having an amazing time in London! Can't wait to hear how it went and possibly see a show and tell😂
LOVE their little antennae and their fluffy little heads. Have you ever watched someone make ronghua? They're Chinese 'velvet' flowers made by twisting silk and wire to make your own very very fancy pipe cleaners.
just wanted to say I love your look with the hair swept up to a turban. Really suits you. I'm looking forward to seeing your process of making this lovely brooch :)
there a few really cool looking moths out there. Luna moth might be my favorite looking wise. They don´t live in sweden as far as I know but their looks are just so amazing with the color and tail things they have
I lovvvvve intricate hand beading and sequins like this!! My dream project is a moth-inspired gown, and I think it would be a lovely touch to include one of these brooches of the moth that inspired the dress design. I'll be coming back to this!
Another absolutely beautiful creation! It's been only few years since I started liking bugs and moths after years of unneeded hate. I hope these glittery ones help someone else see the beauty in little creepers
Yay! So happy to see another one of these. I'm currently making a green fly brooch. I plan on wearing it with a jacket which I'm embroidering with Venus Fly traps. I have until November, so I am starting early to make sure it's all stunning.
Love the hairstyle, turban or head wrap, and wow, that eye shadow! Love the colors. I feel I must make an insect brooch. Maybe a fuzzy and sparkly bee. I can’t recall if you’ve done anything with iridescent or see through wings. That would be amazing.
This is so beautiful, it's been a couple decades since ive tried embroidery, but when my nana was teaching me she would always say that the back MUST look as neat and tidy as the front. She would be very impressed by your stunning talent, care and attention to detail.
I know boo about costuming, but this has been a real treat for me. You've shown me a marvel of a kind I've never seen before, so thank you for that. That brooch is just a lovely thing.
Very fun and chic. Indian & Pakistan have the most amazing trimmings. My hubs is from Pakistan and I love the work on the clothes from there. You can find amazing fabrics, embroidered trims, & beads.
I am so happy to find your channel! I do a lot of bead and thread crafts, sewing by hand & machine, just started dabbling with paints and this is perfect for throwing that all together!! I can’t wait to get started on a new project!
This moth is enchantingly beautiful. the color arrangement WOW. I really love your channel Bianca. It is so inspiring that I already made my first spider.
thank you so much for this tutorial!! I was kinda stuck with an embroidery applique thingy I was making and the cutting the surrounding fabric into tabs tip was a mindblowing moment for me! I could've never thought on doing that. It's exactly what I needed for my project!
Used to do fully beaded belly dance bedlam and this reminds me how much I used to enjoy beading. Perhaps I’ll dig out my supplies and get busy. Used to get a lot of supplies from Cartwright’s. They’re an awesome resource.
Ooh that's a lovely moth! I'm really inspired to make my own now. But but.. I have a bunch of projects waiting for me, lol. Also, you're looking gorgeous as usual! I love the hair with the wrap, so cute!
I love that you don't use glue. No shame to crafters who do, it is quick and easy. I personally dislike it for three reasons. 1) I like being able to reuse/repurpose pieces which is easier to do when they are sewn, not glued. 2) If I make mistakes or changes mid project stitches can be removed cleanly. 3) Sewing is better for longevity and multiwear projects.
Absolutely gorgeous. I’ve been wanting to know how to create the fluffy body so thanks very much for sharing. I usually create small insects, frogs and animals using glass beads and wire.
I’m obsessed with these videos! This is how I found your channel today and I’ve already watched four. I truly thought you would have done a Luna moth considered you mentioned you wanted to do on that is Chartreuse! I hope if you do a Luna moth it is the most spectacular one you’ve ever done! Beautiful work as always.
Your broaches are much better than abstract broaches and I am sure you get far more comments. It shows more talent to make something intentional rather than a collage of bits and bobs. Thank you 💖 I will have to try
Wow that is fabulous!!! I do not think I would have the patience. Amazing how these tiny objects come together to create an awesome piece of jewelry art You definitely have a creative gift Enjoyed watching this 😊
I agree with other viewers here. I would like to see the entire collection of creepy crawlies that you've made. Plus all about the LONDON trip when you get back. DO TELL!
So beautiful Bianca, as always! You always inspire me to take my creative projects to a much higher level. You have a knack of breaking the whole complicated process down into more manageable parts whether it be sewing, pattern drafting or moth making.
Another stunning creation!❤ I remember when you started making the beetles a while back! I have been following you and enjoying all your amazing work since you inspired me in 2020!
Your videos have been so awesome for me! I have been realizing I not only had everything to create these kinds of embroidered pieces, but how much I enjoy playing with color, materials, etc. I followed one of your beaded bugs first, using similar materials, and then progressed to making more using different materials like silk thread, thin shell beads, and figuring out how to mount them on plaques. Thank you for the inspiration to create something new!
I'm an artist, jewelry and bead lover of all kinds. I've searched and collecting the supplies for making a beaded purse w/kiss closure. I've always loved the look and technique in bead art, the long sparkly flowing dresses. I might give this a try at first. You make it look so easy and doable and seems very therapeutic and with flow of creativity! ❤ Etsy, while I've found some suppliers with vintage sequins and beads most all are from another country and beautiful indeed. Well worth the wait. Thanks for the share and inspiration. Your creations are stunning
How lovely, my favourite too. In our local woods, behind my house, we have a moth specialist who comes and sets up a couple of times a year. We usually catch between 60 and 80 different species each time.. They are amazing. Each one goes in a clear plastic container, is examined, documented, then released. Great fun x
I am a former NY-er, married to a New Orleans (Katrina 2005 survivor) guy..we live in the Upper Pontalba in the French Quarter. So, anyway, now I am retired from the 9 to 5, and have revisited my lifelong love for needlework...Hubby had a storage unit across the river, and it is jammed with things like vintage (pre 1980) dead-stock denim, bark cloth from the 1950s, remnants, from his first wife and her sister, they should both rest in peace. Anyway, thus far in two years? I have made pillows out of re-purposed lace, denim tote bags accented w/ bark cloth, and one of a kind ethnic dolls...none of this requires a pattern. Just good eyesight, a large table, patience, and quality scissors. My latest is a resurrected (seriously) Quasimodo doll. I have a pattern which I eyeballed from looking and penciling, for a vest for him. Allowing or that pesky hunch, don't ya know. Love your channel. I am new..but swearsies, will be stopping by again real soon...cheers from the SkyCave!!
Beautiful 🤩 I Love It 😍 Creativity is not about patience it’s about passion and love 😉. It take times yes but it’s a nice nice journey to the final gift for our eyes. Thank you to share with us 💙✨💕😊
Watching your channel and Tessa Perlow's has been making me want to take up bead embroidery! I do have some beads lying around from a time I tried making some jewelry... but I KNOW I'll end up buying more beads than using up my stash. So your point about collecting beads not being so expensive and feeling like you're collecting jewels hit me in a soft spot 😂 Gorgeous work, as always ❤
So spot on with the Klimt-esque description! It came out beautifully. Thanks for sharing your process; it was fascinating and very informative! Gotta give this a shot.
Magnificent !!! 💖💖💖 Love the stitches, colors, textures, and arrangements on this particular little buddy. 💖💖💖 Your tastes are elegant. 💖💖💖 Safe Travels with Many Blessings. 💖💖💖
usually I find moths a bit creepy (cant pinpoint why because I like butterflys... maybe its the mixed texture they have) but yours are cute!!! And so beautiful and shiny
Since folks seemed to enjoy this moth buddy, I recently made a cicada friend using a similar color palette you can see here ruclips.net/video/4lGshWYwdaM/видео.html 💚🧵
Amazing ❤ I love it
Watching this makes me realize that I absolutely do not have the patience for beading. I barely have the patience for embroidery. But your INTRO LOOK. The hair, the wrap, the makeup, the shirt... It is *exquisite*.
Thank you!!
Right?! I had to sternly tell myself NOT to cut side swept bangs because I will not magically look this elegant LOL
You inspired me to make a bat brooch with outstretched wings. I used black sequins & matte seed beads. Thanks for sharing your lovely work with us!
Most excellent! 🦇 I need to make a bat sonetine!
So adorable! Would love to see your entire collection of "beadles," moths, and spiders 😊
I hope you're having an amazing time in London! Can't wait to hear how it went and possibly see a show and tell😂
Yes, to see the entire collection 🌝
Thank you!! I can certainly do a tour of my beetles and friends sometime 😅🦋
Every time is see you do beading I have to convince myself that I don’t need another craft. But they are so gorgeous.
Thank you! ❤️ (are you sure you don't need yet another craft?....✨)
@@TheClosetHistorian I’m not sure but husband is! Hehehehehe. Maybe if I get a bigger house I can add another craft 😆 we’ll see.

Thank you Ruth!
there a few really cool looking moths out there. Luna moth might be my favorite looking wise. They don´t live in sweden as far as I know but their looks are just so amazing with the color and tail things they have
Spanish Luna Moths are also extra pretty too!
Here to tell you how much I adore your look in this vid. 😍 I also love the moth brooch.
Thank you Marie!
Thank you Jenni! I’m evolving from fear to appreciation, but the funkier beetles and stick bugs I still find absolutely terrifying 😅
Adorable moth buddy, tell him I love him.
Thanks Sam!
Yay! So happy to see another one of these. I'm currently making a green fly brooch. I plan on wearing it with a jacket which I'm embroidering with Venus Fly traps. I have until November, so I am starting early to make sure it's all stunning.
Nice!! I need to learn to give myself more time like that 😂
I think this little guy is my favorite so far. ❤️
Thank you Vikki!
Loved the idea of 'painting' with beads and sequins. I do love a crafting video. Lovely result-wear your brooch in good health!
Thank you Beth!
Love the hairstyle, turban or head wrap, and wow, that eye shadow! Love the colors. I feel I must make an insect brooch. Maybe a fuzzy and sparkly bee. I can’t recall if you’ve done anything with iridescent or see through wings. That would be amazing.
Thank you! I need to make a big blue carpenter bee sometime 🐝
Now I need one of those pink and yellow maple moths as a brooch!
They look like candy those ones! ✨
This is so beautiful, it's been a couple decades since ive tried embroidery, but when my nana was teaching me she would always say that the back MUST look as neat and tidy as the front. She would be very impressed by your stunning talent, care and attention to detail.
Thank you!! As long as I can cover any sins of the back in the end with a clean backing I’m good 😂
I love you bug brooches! But can we talk about your look today? Yowza! Smokin' hot!
Thank you!!
OMG I love hearing about structural colour in the wild! Iridescent scales and feathers are so cool
I’m feeling so absolutely inspired to make my own bugs. I think this would look great as a detail on one of my hat bands.
I love your beetle brooches!! I would really love to see you do an Illia Underwing Moth!
I know boo about costuming, but this has been a real treat for me. You've shown me a marvel of a kind I've never seen before, so thank you for that. That brooch is just a lovely thing.

(However, "Silence of the Lambs"popped into my head)

This is stunning! It's so very tempting to throw away the list of things that need to get done and pull out all my beads! Adulting sucks!
Thank you Robin! I have the best job in the world becuase my to-do list for tomorrow literally is "bead two beetles" so 😂❤
usually I find moths a bit creepy (cant pinpoint why because I like butterflys... maybe its the mixed texture they have) but yours are cute!!! And so beautiful and shiny
