I am honored and feels privileged to be born as a Khmer for its strong architectural intelligence that built many temples spread famously around the world like Angkor Wat.

It is sad to see the Khmer Empire's collapse and the land encroachment from the surrounding neighbors. When a small country like Cambodia, it gives the neighboring country to crush us even further for more land to grab.

@@sparkseed007 Please make a video of the Khmer King Varman King Udayaditiyavarman II (Udaya Aditiya = the Rising Sun) who wrote in the stone script in the 11th century wishing “If I will be rewarded for meritorious acts, I wished to be reborn in Kampuchea again”.

Maybe you agree with me or not, but if we didn’t go under French protection, we would be stateless, like Mon people in Myanmar or even the Cham people.

@@samwrought5650 The Khmer can find something else a part of calling the French to do the work for their home. The Khmer have many experiences for over 2000 years even in the past, the powerful Mongols can’t do anything with the Khmer. And recently in 2008-2011, the Khmer can handle alone without any help to face with the Thailand invasions of Cambodia.

Let’s see if the current PM can rival Jaraveranan VII’s accomplishments. I think he has a shot. The construction of Funon Canal is a good starter.

You do know many Khmer kings had both Khmer name and Pali/Sangskrit names or Hindu.
His majesty Javaraman 7 was his Hindu name but his khmer name was Cheyavarthon 7. The world knows him as Jayavaraman 7.

I think he was trying to find something similar. I agree its not the Khmer uniforms but I listen to the story that just more important. Its story telling.

Fake painting Because it is different from the evidence recorded by China. : During the Ming Dynasty, Chinese ambassador came to Angkor and Ayutthaya (Siam) and recorded about the costumes and architecture of Angkor and Ayutthaya (Siam) and recorded them in the form of paintings. And now there is evidence of such paintings in the Yuejiang-tower in the museum in China. Although they are new paintings, they were copied from the originals, and the Phnom Penh newspaper has reported on this matter.

I posted the link but it was deleted. You can try searching for a place called Yuejiang-tower, you will find that picture. "Yuejiang tower, Nanjing - 2008 - Hello, China!"
