The so called "Nokor Phnom" era was actually a reestablishment, rebuilding, and revival of a much older civilization; an antediluvian civilization that was destroyed by the cataclysmic event (the "Great Flood'), that had engulfed the entire planet, over 13,000 years ago. The cataclysmic event happens at the end of every 26,000 years cyclical age, and also known as the "plasma apocalypse," when all is destroyed and everything gets reset. And in Hinduism, it is known as "Yugas". The cyclical ages are depicted on the Khmer temple at Prasat Ta Prom. The carving with the famous "stegosaurus" is of the cyclical calendar. The ages are divided up into various ages of humanity's history, depicting the seven "root races" that are carved inside the circular serpent, which represents time. There are a total of seven cyclical ages in the planet's evolutionary cycle, and a total of seven root races. The current humanity is considered the fifth root race, there were four root races that preceded this current one. The seventh root race is the last and is yet to come; in a different age that will mark the end, completing the last "Yuga" or cyclical age. All ancient civilizations possessed the knowledge of the "divine serpent", that's why it's found all over the world, in various cultures. It was a universal symbol for time. Cambodia was once part of a continent called "Lemuria," located in the Pacific Ocean. Lemuria was a massive continent, with a landmass that encompassed from what is now present day the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and spanning across the entire Pacific region, all the way to the Hawaiian Islands. During the cataclysm, it caused a significant changed in Earth's geography. The violent geographical changes resulted in the reshaping of the planet's geography. Lemuria specifically, was broken up into different regions, and parts of it drifted away, while the rest of the continent submerged beneath the ocean. Part of the landmass that broke away was Cambodia, that's why Cambodia was called "Kok Thlok," because it became an 'island'. Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Polynesia, Easter Island, and the Hawaiian Islands are all remnants of Lemuria. The figure known as "Princess Soma" was a Lemurian princess, because her father was one of the Lemurian king. The Lemurian kings were known as the "Naga Rulers". According to the ancient Hindu and Buddhist beliefs: The Lemurian (Naga kings) were entrusted with the roles as the "custodians" or "gatekeepers" of sacred knowledge. What we come to know as Cambodia was his domain. The ancient Khmer people were one of the various races of that lost continent. The mythology about the Naga king "drinking" part of the ocean, so he could increased the land for his daughter and son-in-law was an actual event that took place, when the water receded after the great flood. There are more truths to the myths and legends, than there is to the conventional history itself.

It is a fair assessment, but one small point needs to be corrected : King Yasovarman VII was the last Khmer Hindu God King... Theravada Buddhism which had already arrived and adopted by some Kingdoms in the Northern Part of the Southeastern Asia peninsula was introduced into Yasodharapura (Cambodia) after the passing of King Yasovarman VII... King Yasovarman VIII who came after King Yasovarman VII had removed Buddhism from the country, but after the final destruction of Yasodharapura by Siam in 1431, the true Khmer Civilisation and Culture and Hinduism was dead and buried, thus Yasodharapura was abandoned into the forest for good, and the Mon-Khmer Language (Shared between Burmeses, Thais, Laotians and Cambodians) was adopted, to replace the vacuum of the Vedic Sound (mantras & hymns) Sanskrit used for during the entire Angkorian period... Well, if Rome did not know that China ever existed until Marco Polo, what chance does Angkor has to Rome and European Kingdoms... But I love your graphics, exaggerated, but nevertheless a beautiful one and definitely some Cambodians would be proud of that !

The problem is the Thai trying to discredit our ancestors. Lmao They forgot they aren’t native to Southeast Asia. Admit the truth. It wouldn’t be problem.
Present day Cambodia were not the Tamil Indians. Present day Cambodia were just the slaves.
Thai are undercover Chinese people for hundreds of years just look at Singapore
Indians are so smooth, they came to Cambodia and the Cambodians just said please rule us ol great ones.
I love Khmer people and culture regardless where they came from !!!!
Thai come from Lao. The earliest Lao/Thai colony that was documented was Muang Sua located in North Laos/Vietnam. It's documented that when Lao/Thai (Tai) settled in Southeast Asia from China, they settled on the Mekong River (the Lao side) first before any Tai inhabit parts of Central Thailand area. It was later the Thai inhabit Chao Phraya River. Lao is the older brother of Thai which is why North/Northeast of Thailand have a Lao dialect this includes certain parts of Myanmar (Shan State) that still speak Lao. This is why you can find Lao speakers/tribes in North Vietnam and as far North Cambodia. Lao people in Cambodia is called Lao Daeum located in Stung Treng. Thai people like to deny their Lao roots but even in some Thai textbook Lanna and Lan Xang is called LAO PEOPLE. And if this is hard to believe, listen to the language; Shan, Tai Lue, Lanna, Lao when we speak we do not use the "R" and when we say number 20, we do not say Yee-Sep, we say Sao. The language is connected and the language tells you what was first established in Southeast Asia. So this tells you the Thai language is new and adopted some Khmer language later on. And if you don't believe me, go to South China talk to Tai people there, they still say Sao as 20. Lao is the brother of Khmer people not by blood but by culture exchange. Lao history teach Khmer Kingdom help establish Lan Xang kingdom (Lao kingdom). Angkor soldiers help Fa Ngum who married Nang Keo, a Khmer princess. It was best that the Khmer princess and Angkor soldiers established a new life up North in the Isan region and low land/foothills parts of Laos as the Khmer empire slowly eroded away. This is why Isan region, South/Central of Laos have mix looking people that look Mon Khmer. As you go further North of Lao people are more light skinned with other tribes like Hmong, Viet, and others exist. While Thailand, particularly Central Thai are mixed with Chinese due to culture and trade exchange which explains why there's 10+million Chinese living in Central Thailand today. Thai people are not as accepting as Lao people when it comes to the influence and culture that the Khmer had to the Lao/Thai people.
I agree, And I think early migration are the People from Luang Prabang and, Xieng Khougn Provinces.. That migration to Bangkok.. I meet.a.Thai from BKK said his ancestors are from Luang Prabang.. And 1 celebrity from Thai spoken LAOS his Luang Prabang accent is still.there.
@@chung388 Lao Vieng and Lao Krang tribe people as well. This is why the internet especially on Wikipedia can be misleading when it comes to the Lao population on the global scale. For example, it shows Lao has a less population in the US when in reality there is more Lao than Thai. During the Vietnam War, there's more Lao population that migrated to America than Thai due to refugee status. Many Lao including the Khmer were label as Thai nationalist as well due to birth children in refugee camps in Thailand. And because Thai government does not recognize Lao in Thailand they are label as Thai-Isan instead which makes the Lao population look even less on the global map.
Khmer culture is rooted longer before the Thai was born. Part of Thailand was Khmer land and Thai people there are Khmer descents.

Even though, Henry Mouhot did not rediscover Angkor Wat, but he spreaded the news all over Europe that excited archaeologists and enthusiasts that flooded their interests to come to Angkor Wat. Portuguese friar, Antonio Madalena visited Angkor Wat in 1586, but did not spread the news. As a Cambodian history enthusiast and engineer, i have done many research and dig deep into the history from our great Hindu ancestors. The three major downfall for the demise of greatest civilization were. 1-Religious revolution from Hinduism to Buddhism- Marked the stop of building projects. 2-Nature- Severe drought for more than 30 years then followed by monsoons that destroyed the irrigation system. 3- Kings were not revere as God King- internal power struggles and weak leaderships led to outside forces invasions. I am proud of our Hindu ancestors that built the greatest civilization on earth. As a Khmer citizen, we should learn from our ancestors that weak leaderships and internal power struggles led to the demise the powerful nation.
@@angkorkhmerempire6079 Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate your support in watching my channel.
Angkor relied heavily on agriculture for their economy which was great at the time but near Bangkok and Hanoi, they were trading with outside neighbors and eventually the western world which made them rich and having a robust economy less reliant on agriculture. Ayyuthaya were able to get guns and siege weapons through trade. They got rich and were able to train an army whereas Angkor's army were peasants and used passively only when their were attacks. The Thai army was paid with the extra money and held year-round. Angkor is a great location for agriculture but bad location for trade. Bangkok and Hanoi river delta is located near the ocean. As the video said, maritime trade skipped Angkor cus it was unreachable by boat. Moreover, Bangkok and Hanoi is surrounded by mountains creating a natural military barrier. Angkor and Phnom Penh is open, flat land, all around open to being attacked from all directions. The natural geography of Cambodia plays a big role.

So we need to stop this jealous and rage just because Thailand is getting recognition. Be happy that the Culture is being seen worldwide. Not where it is originated. We should share the culture and stop claiming it.
@@pie904 claim what? Khmer never claim anything from Thai 😂 have you seen on Facebook? Plenty of hatful Thai saying that Khmer claiming their dress lmao even some said ankor wat belong to them lol I never hate Thai but it’s them Thai nationals that taught to hate on Cambodians
Nonsense, Khmer copying Thai
The problem between the two countries lies with the newcomers and not with the people who rooted from these areas. Ayuddhaya, of course, no longer exists in the landscape, but is still in the minds of many people who are now called Thais. The descendants of Ayuddhaya have fewer conflicts with their former compatriots, the Khmer of the former Khmer Empires.
The history between Sayam/Siam(Thailand) and Khmer(Cambodia) is similar to North Korea and South Korea. Through betrayal of Khmer Angkor during the kingdom rapid decline, gave birth of 2 kingdoms, Sokhotai and Ayuttaya. After Khmer/Champa war and Khmer Angkor conversion from Hinduism to Thearavada Buddhism, some believed curses were placed by Hindu gods on the empire. After the death of Jayavaraman 7, the kingdom began a slow decline. There was internal political power struggle. The infighting opened up an opportunity for rebellion for independence by some Khmer states. The first independence state was Sokhotai(Sokortey in Khmer) of Tai people in 1235 A.D. The rebellion also gave birth to a second kingdom of Ayuttaya in 1345A.D, possibly with the help of Mongols and Tai infiltration. Ayuttaya was a former Khmer state of Ayuteyea of Siem/Siam/Sayam people who were dubbed "K'nom" or lower-class of people or servants of Khmer population. Upon independence, Ayuttaya began the alteration of themselves in term of language, arts and culture. The idea is to take what is Khmer and create a greater version of themselves, furthermore, deny, reject and dismiss anything of Khmer. Another word, blackmail Khmer out of existence. Ayuttaya expanded it territory into other smaller kingdoms and into Sokhotai. By 1439, together, they became Siam. With greater forces, Siam began the conquest of Khmer/Kampuchea/Cambodia. In 1939, Siam renamed itself to Thailand(land of the Tai). At present, the conquest of Khmer of close to 800 years is no longer about territory but about culture and history. Denial and manipulation of historical truth is Thailand greatest strength. Heck...some Thai population denied the existence of Khmer. It's up to Thai people in general whether to continue the centuries old traditional hatred toward Khmer or co-exist as neighborly friends. Historically, Khmer is merely a victim of Siam conquest. The idea by some ultra-Thai nationalist of wiping Khmer from the map of Southeast Asia is very belligerent, arrogance, delusional and geo-politically dangerous.
Theirs are not Khmer theirs are Khom
Khmer refers to the ethnic group, language, and civilization of Cambodia. Khom is a Thai historical term, often used to describe ancient Khmer civilization but not commonly used by Khmer people themselves.
Khom is a word that was derived from the original Khmer word "Krom," meaning southern or "Southern" people. Since the Tai-Kradai language was very tonal, it was very difficult for the Siamese to pronounced the phonetic Khmer word properly or correctly. And instead, they dropped the "r" sound and mispronounced it as "Khom". It's pretty much like how those who are of Chinese or Vietnamese descents 'butchered' the Khmer language. Truth of the matter: It was nothing more than a mispronounced word, spoken in a foreign accent. Khmer and Khom are the same people.
