For the Deuce's power conundrum, i think it's a reference on how baby snakes have far more potent venom because they're to young to have control how much venom they secrete. Since he is a gorgon, with snake hair no less, i think him not being able to control his powers and how long the stonification last is just that, young gorgons dont have much control on how powerful their stone gaze actually is. And the stone gaze is a passive power, it's always on, but how intense it is depends on the person control over it. Just like Cyclops from the X-men

I’m pretty sure it states in the book (which I’ve obsessed over for years) that he gathered the body parts of the dead from cemeteries and slaughterhouses, meaning he used animal parts and human parts. He never grows anything synthetic in a lab like a 3D printer. That was well beyond anything Mary Shelley would have come up with as her idea was based on galvinism, the rejuvenation of the dead through electricity. The only time synthetic body parts are mentioned is in the Hollywood original of bride of Frankenstein, which is really its own story, and there he grows a synthetic brain for the bride. But it’s pieces of the dead in the original book.

She's not a monster. Headmistress Bloodgood is a Fae, a fairy type creature Known as a Dullahan also called the gan ceann from Irish folklore. and while this was never outright said in the series, the headless horseman has been classified as this type of creature by many.

The Headless Horseman has its roots in Irish mythology however I think she’s a reference to the more contemporary one from the folk myths within New England that inspired Sleepy Hollow. See during the revolutionary war, the British Empire enlisted German mercenaries with the promise of land for their service (which would be fulfilled with the province of New Brunswick being divided up and farm land given to these men who would then establish a life there. These mercenaries were particularly ruthless and gained themselves a pretty scary reputation that mixed Irish folklore led to the idea of the Hessian (most of the mercenaries were called this even though they weren’t all from Hesse Germany). Since Bloodgood is probably inspired by the Hessian and not exclusively the Irish myth, she would be better classified as a ghost or a ghoul.

After making Frankie’s mom and dad they continued his legacy and used her body parts to make frankie. I personally think frankie is genetically modified and not made the exact same way as her parents were because they improved the procedures. So shes not exactly just dead people stitched together shes likely made up of cloned parts, modified dna and likely mechanical body parts too hence all the electricity.

For example, what if Beast boy attended monster high? He’s basically a human with skin skin who can turn into animals. Would he still be classified as a ‘monster’? What about the Dazzilings from my little pony? They’re sirens, who are monsters in Greek mythology. In the story, Dr. Moreau is a reclusive doctor obsessed with vivisection who owns his own jungle island in the Southern Pacific Ocean, where he has lived ever since getting chased out of London for his experiments. On the island, Moreau creates many species of "Beast-Folk" by augmenting animals to become humanoid.

In regards to the question of what the magic bandages were, I think whatever magic they had in them was a combination of a sleeping spell and a dehydration spell, hence Cleo feeling sleepy when the bandages were put on and why she and her sister have to stay moisturized even though we don't see any other mummies (as few as there are) having the problem of their skin being dry. My guess is that the bandages were applied improperly- or perhaps there just wasn't enough to go around, since Ramses looks a lot more affected than his daughters- and that's what 'went wrong' with the mummification of the DeNiles.

Same way people treat animals like crow vs crow, one is "wild" and one is "domesticated", people see "domesticated" animals in a way better light than their wild counterparts because they think that the domesticated crow is way smarter so people are going to be more civil towards it.

For the pet thing: maybe some monsters have subspecies which are less evolved? Irl we keep monkeys in zoos/as pets, so it's probably not weird for monsters to have a gargoyle dog bc it's not the same as a humanoid one.

Perhaps a creature is something that is dangerous, while a monster isn't neccessarily so. So Andy can be a monster when he's in his human like form and is friendly and nice, but a creature when he turns into a big mosnter with no control because he's very dangerous for both humans and monsters

I don’t know if they actually say it anywhere but I’m pretty sure the headmistress is supposed to be a dullahan. Which if I remember correctly is a type of fae. And by fae I don’t mean like tinker bell or the fairy godmother, the actual folklore of fae has more in common with demons or yokai than any of that. I’m pretty sure they wield a whip that’s literally just a human spine.

Tbh i dont think sanders like-fully based them on their films/books, lik you have clawdeen whos very strongly based on the wolf man and lagoona whos based on black lagoon but both characters fell for a human but both of their moms are monsters too-guess they didnt want to delve into the monsters mess of a love life
Then theres frankie whos parents are the frankenstein monster and his wife but in the film-the wife was pretty terrified of the monster she would scream at him a l o t
Its all jusf funny to me tbh

I forget what there called but in Irish folk lore headless horseman and carriage drivers are actual monsters that often are a sign of inpending doom. So that’s what I think head mistress bloodgood is technically. Also she would be heavily feared dispire her looking human because of this.

Yes these are in the cartoons because logic supports creativity through science labs but being rational is to alert the body about harmful incidents. The mummy bandages could be similar to plaster of paris because the references to sculpture and statues was how the modern society honed skills to become portable. The head mistress scaritage is a good point because it cant be an apparition maybe shes a gargoyle linked to the norweigan folk lore about the moons phases

For the Duece thing, it might have something to do with snakes in real life. Younger snakes, especially baby snakes, don’t really know how much venom can kill something, thus they are more dangerous than the adult ones. Sometimes they overdo it, maybe the writers wanted little Duece to be the same 🤷‍♀️

In Monster High, there are magicians, magical people.
To Frankie, they are more monster than normal humans.
    Can they do practically anything?
Are there some that prefers to do a certain thing?
Can a normal human become a magician?
    Can any monster learn magic?
    What do you think?

G3 animated series question I have: why are witches/warlocks/wizards now suddenly a bad thing to be, when I'm 90% sure there was at least one class that they had to come up with a spell or hex? Also, Cleo is straight up using magic ALL THE TIME up until g3. Most of G1 movies *involved magic in some way*! It just seems so... *odd* to suddenly exclude magic? Also, where does the line get drawn? What about Fae, are *they* banned for existing now? Is alchemy considered magic? Why can a teen like Draculaura get a hold of magic books if it's bad enough to where she fears expulsion and excommunication? The "bc normies do it!" excuse never was enough for me tbh, bc it wouldn't be literally only humans?

Something that I felt didn't make sense is Holt. The relationship between him and Jackson isn't like the og book, and he's described as Heaths cousin. Does that make Jackson Heaths cousin too? If so, how do normie/human cousins of monsters work? Where did Holt come from? Why is he sharing a body with Jackson? Why does ALL music trigger a transformation? Can Jackson really not enjoy music? Is Holt a demon of some kind possessing Jackson? If so, are demons like ghosts? How many traits are shared between Holt and Jackson? How long has Holt been with Jackson, and why did neither of them notice sooner? So many questions, so little answers

And to me, Alivia is very... concerning. As: Frankie found enough orphan chunks to create a sister with?
I did also find it very... questionable with Robecca. That, she was apparently mordored... and just... no-one cared?
