There isn’t really a specific explanation about him. Official Monster High “Freaky Fact” released that he was a vampire stuck in a bat form. If I’m not mistaking Garrett Sander (MH’s creator) said that Count Fabulous is an immortal vampire stuck in a bat form because a spell went wrong. I can’t tell for sure if Garrett Sander said that though :)
