- The winner of last month's Patreon song request poll was Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson. This was an ambitious one to start off with, but felt really amazing to produce.
Michael Jackson is easily my most potent initial inspiration to one day become a singer. When I was maybe about 5 years old, my Mom gave me a couple of his greatest hits VHS tapes, and I have such vivid memories of watching them over and over again, even to the point of bringing them to friends' houses to watch them there. He moved my spirit so profoundly at that time in my life, and represented the epitome of what I dreamed of one day embodying. I'm still in awe to this day of what he's created, and this song is of course no exception.

🧑🏾 Who Am I?
My name's Daniel Hanson, I'm a music producer and vocalist. I like to sample my own voice to produce digital arrangements, with a heavy lean toward lyric-less improvisation and no particular genre preference. I'm inspired by a really wide range of styles, so I'm grateful to have found a niche that allows me to express that while still fitting into a category people can easily relate to. 🎙 Why A Cappella?
Most of my history is actually in electronic/instrumental production, but I started experimenting with a cappella music after a chronic pain condition limited my ability to produce that way. I've thankfully healed a lot since then, and still hold a very special place in my heart for electronic production, but getting this brand off the ground is my main focus for now. It's a lot more organically marketable than my instrumental work, which I think offers me a better shot at sustaining a long-term career.
